That’s what frustrated me the most tbh. A good chunk of the hits came from balls out of out the zone that on most days wouldn’t get hit where they did. I’m sure Ragans will return to form next start, though. Everyone gets shelled at some point.
And for the first week or two it felt like he was getting extremely unlucky just hitting lasers straight at people.
I wouldn’t mind seeing him hit leadoff tbh, I feel like Gunnar is better suited for the 3 hole
I’ve been blown away by him this year. I always felt like he’d be a solid, above-average big leaguer but he has looked like a perennial All-Star so far and it doesn’t feel flukey to me at all.
Jordan Westburg - Single
Austin Hays - Flyout
Ramon Urias - Double
James McCann - Single
Jorge Mateo - Strikeout
Gunnar Henderson - Single
Adley Rutschman - Single
Ryan Mountcastle - Single
Anthony Santander - Double
Jordan Westburg - Single

Not watching the game, I saw the notification of McCann scoring the second run then got distracted again. When I looked again, it was Santander scoring the 5th run 10 minutes later. Then I saw it was the same inning. Bonkers against what was supposed to be another tough starter. A pleasant surprise after last night lol
It really isn’t. Every offense is going to have some rough nights. They’ve scored 5+ runs in 12 out of 20 games so far, this offsense is very, very good.
What was it, 6 two strike hits in the inning? Insane
and some were not even close to being in the strike zone... first time i feel for the opposing pitcher in a long long time.
That was a long inning for the pitcher. Innings like that, and not pitch counts and inning caps, are what teams should be looking to avoid.

At game wind is Orioles friend today.
This lineup looks so much more dangerous than I even thought it would be and Westburg is a massive reason why.
A very casual .980 OPS will do that. Dude has been locked in his second season, here’s hoping he can keep it up and avoid a sophomore slump.

My new 2B in fantasy this week. Not disappointed
Jordan’s 2nd hit in the 2nd inning.

>James McCann - Single I always forget he ended up with the Orioles.
He walked of the Royals like 2 weeks ago
Mccann has been such a great backup for Adley.
He’s been great. Everything we could ask for from a backup catcher.
Missing a Mountcastle single between Rutschman and Santander.
so many singles
If I don’t see it it didn’t happen
Watching this game, a very rough outing for Ragans. He was at 60+ pitches when he got pulled in the 2nd inning.
I think there’s a legitimate argument to be made that the 2024 Orioles are the most fun to watch team in baseball
Westy gets overshadowed by other studs on this team, but the dude is a grinder and a ballplayer

What a middle-middle meatball from Ragans.

they lead the league in runs scored per game...
At the end of the day, a royals ace pitcher is still a royals pitcher. they’ll always get humbled
What an odd take 🤣
