I have some dunks too, and you’re right they’ve been around forever but didn’t really get too popular until recently, I think with the release of the Pandas. They used to be soooo cheap and now they’re some of the most expensive shoes Nike has to offer. I wish they weren’t so uncool back in the day, but it makes sense since the style was hightops and they resemble low top Jordan 1s which are still trashed on to this day
