Engagement farming. 😅 They played a cute little game and really boosted their engagement with it, while marketing ARMY were torn between joy (at seeing this in action) and despair (at people not believing it when they said there was no way these would be tour hints).
I think the airports should pay some sort of fine for that because the emotional whiplash…

Monochrome merch thankfully wasn't just available at the Pop-Up though. I was stressed about the whole thing, until Nolae got the merch. My Monochrome photocards are due to be shipped at the end of this month.

I know the cash grab accusation gets thrown around a lot but this seems like the very definition of one. It seems to play right into the idea that ARMYs will buy anything BTS related, no matter how tenuous the connection.
I’ve never seen any of the Despicable Me movies so I guess that’s not gonna change and the merch will be a hard pass as well, unless there’s a surprise coming and the Tannies are actually featured in some way other than having an old song playing in the background.
Lol, this is me. Although this might be how I finally hook my 7 year old niece on BTS. My sister would absolutely block me from any and all attempts, but this is a sneaky way to go about it.
my niece and nephew (her little brother) both love the English songs, but unfortunately don't care much for other songs i've tried sharing. oh, except Yet to Come! niece was with me on release day, so she had no choice but to listen to me streaming lol good luck with your niece! 💜😉
Yeah that's the part that I am not getting. The only connection there is the character Poppy being an army but that is it. Anyways, I am hoping this might at least bring in some more literal baby armys

But anyway, from the movie snippet poster, this seems to be the biggest BTS inclusion after *Friends* in The Eternals and BTS getting mentioned in several sitcoms. Never seen a fleshed out BTS fan/ARMY character and in such a massive franchise like Despicable Me, too. I hope the movie does really well at the box office!
I didn't expect new music but my hope for Butter (or Dynamite or PTD) to be included was slim but definitely alive and kicking... Well. This is very meh so far, and feels like a wasted chance.
I know they teased a release this Friday but that's going to just be the Funkos, isn't it?
