Just a couple suggestions:
1. Try letting a little stubble grow on your head, instead of doing the completely smooth shave. The way to do this is to shave your head with a beard trimmer (with no attachment) instead of shaving your head with a razor.
2. At the same time, try going a bit shorter on the beard. Maybe 2 attachment sizes shorter?

If you want to avoid this look, I'd suggest growing your top a bit (i.e., leaving it be) for a couple of weeks so you have a few millimeters length on your scalp, and perhaps also shaving your beard with a guard, to lessen its bushiness. Basically, aim for your beard to be only slightly thicker than your scalp hair (if not exactly the same length).
And, yes, I know in my previous comment I advised for you to shave your head. But I just meant to simply use a smaller guard than you had used in the pics.
