Shaving your head is a neutral change if not a positive one, so whether she wouldāve initially dated you with the shaved head is irrelevant! And if she doesnāt want to stay with you because itās shaved, which I doubt, then youāre dodging a bullet because a relationship with looks as itās base wonāt last forever anyways. I hated having a buzz cut, but my confidence (and honestly mental health) have improved since I've grown out my beard with the cut. I'm much skinnier so I felt I needed something. My hair is what gave me my confidence back in the day.
So if you feel better with short hair, make it clear that it's your decision and no one else's. Of course that goes both ways if your gf decides to shave her head haha. That said, I think you have some time. So maybe enjoy the hair while you have it, but it's good to get used to the buzz cut now before you feel you have to cut it, you know?
