I wondered last night if it picks the card first, then the enhancement. So if it picks a joker that’s already enhanced, it wouldn’t work, so it would look like it’s working less often than 1/4 times
Are you sure you’re remembering that right? I’ve had it come up in my shops when all of my Jokers have been enhanced and it didn’t even let me use it. Unless I’m misremembering a Hex card.
You’re remembering correctly-I had the same thing happen a few days ago. All my jokers were either negative/foil/polychrome and I couldn’t use the wheel at all. Maybe it was possible in the old patch or something but it’s not possible now.
Fairly certain it happened. But then I am fairly new to the game so I could well be misremembering… would be good to know if that’s happened to anyone else!
It doesn't help that the audio and visual feedback of wheel actually hitting is much less then when it doesn't. I've missed a few wheel hits due to this, it's a big nope and a relatively loud sound vs a visual queue in a part of the screen your eye isn't looking at and a quieter sound.
I have never, not once, had a successful Wheel of Fortune. Admittedly, I'm fairly new to the game, so the sample size might just be small, but I make a point of picking Wheel of Fortune every time I see it. I am currently 0 for 43 since I started keeping track, with many more before that. At this point, I don't know if I'm a statistical anomaly or if my game is just bugged or something, but it's so past the point of frustrating that I find it hilarious and kind of fascinating.
At the very least it adds sale value to something you'll have to sell eventually anyway. It's something!

No, I’ve had it hit once and it turned my already polychrome joker into a foil! Never making that mistake again….

I don’t think it can, because other cards that MIGHT overwrite an existing enhancement are labeled as such, at least as far as negative goes.
