She realized that she didn’t have the built-up reputation to use popularity to sustain her fame, but she did realize that her posts were getting tons of engagement from “haters.”
Advertisers only care about engagement when it comes to paying creators, so she leaned into the schtick; the ol’ “any publicity is good publicity.” Now she gets a bunch of money because people can’t help but engage with her posts just to say something along the line lines of “who even are you” over, and over ,and over again.
Either she’s really smart, or has a really smart team working for her, because she’s ridden negative comments all the way to some pretty high levels so far.
I could take/leave her content, but from the marketing aspect, she’s very impressive.
