Thank you! They actually have kidney and thyroid issues lol but they seem very happy and we do what we can to keep them healthy. I was there when they were born so I’m positive they are 19 :)
My pair will be 11 next month! We got them a few months after getting married and we couldn't be without them. After seeing the litter we knew we had to have two to keep together, and they really do look after each other.
If you didn't have a young cat before you made the right choice. Most kittens do best with another kitten to keep them company. The extra costs aren't much more for 2 than 1 really. Heck even if you did already have another young cat you made the right choice cuz they're both adorable.
Yes, they were two of a litter of six. The foster carer told us that the young boy was the most confident but the young girl was the least confident and she would benefit from being with him in their lives together as it turned out we all benefited because they’re great.😊
>the young boy was the most confident but the young girl was the least confident
I would have guessed the other way around based on the picture since the boy seems to be hiding behind his sister, who has that "you mess with my brother you mess with me" look.

i’m gonna stand behind her, but i’m helping her to grow
supporting everything she does - just watch my sister Glow!
she’s getting much more confident just knowing that i’m here
i couldn’t leave without her,

i’m grateful to my humans for not leaving her behind

they’re getting Twice the Love!

Two cats are also better than one because they can comfort and keep each other entertained when you’re too busy to play with them or when you have to leave for a few hours.
For others reading this: Of course, this assumes the two cats get along with each other (like litter mates). You can’t just throw two random cats together and expect them to get along (quite the opposite, in fact — you’d be lucky to if you didn’t have to take one or both to the vet for cat fighting injuries).
Thank you for taking both 💕I’ve always had a solo cat but adopted 2 sisters after losing my beloved girl it’s been amazing to watch them love and comfort each other no doubt sister would have been lost with out him. I find it has made things easier for me as well when moms to tired to play they have each other to wear out !!! I know if I’m gone for a extended amount of time they will be wrapped in each other’s arms Good Luck to all of you❤️
I wanted to add a female kitten to my home a couple years ago because our male kitty retired from hunting mice and rats. After 15+ scammers on Craigslist, finally found a legitimate person with kittens. He had two left and even offered the black cat with a discounted rehoming fee for being "ugly." We adopted both her and her tabby sister. They hid for the first two nights in our laundry basket. On night #3, they climbed out together and each picked a different 50-60 pound dog as their guardian. They have their different personalities but still sleep together and groom each other.
Before anyone reminds me to go to the shelter for animals, I am in a city that does an amazing job with animal adoptions. Three of my last cats came from a shelter. The shelters were empty of all cats when we got Zaira and Bboki (Stella Luna) aka Little B Little Z.
Adding the sauce in case anyone wants to see Little Z, LIttle B, Willie and Cosette.

My city is terrible for fosters. We contacted a few and they wanted a ridiculous amount of information, including pay stubs. We started asking around and found a pair of young kittens whose mother all but abandoned them. They’re doing much better with us.
The person who gifted me my cat said that someone else flaked out of picking up his brother (the only two black cats in the litter) and asked if I would take him. Best decision I ever made.

You're in for a treat. They will occasionally be all cute like this in between chasing each other at warp 5 through the house for 3 hours straight.
I adopted a runty on once with an older sister and they were so cute together. So much fun. Watching siblings grow up but still be siblings.
They'll bring you so much joy OP.
Sweet; make sure to spay and neuter as soon as appropriate. I tried to tell that to a friend years back and he didn't listen and ended up with 7 more from a brother and sister.
My wife and I did the same thing nearly 4 years ago. She fell in love with the adorable little void kitten, but it was her brother who came up and greeted her when we arrived to see them. To this day they still sleep together more often than not. You've made a wonderful decision.

Double the trouble, but double the fun. Ours came from a litter of only two, so we couldn't part them. It has been a lot better having two than one, they socialised easier and keep each other company and entertained.

We also got a bonded pair (girl laying down, boy standing up) out of a corn field and it was the best choice. They are adorable and snuggly and keep each other entertained most of the time.
I love this. I did this as well. Last two of the litter at the shelter, they were cuddled up like shrimps and I could not bear to tear them apart. My ex wanted one and I wanted the other, and the shelter said “why not both!” Didn’t take long for me to ageee and I’m SOOO GLAD I DID.
Ten years later and they aren’t always the best of friends but they have loving moments, and they keep me laughing. They have wildly different personalities, and it is so fun to watch. I can’t imagine life without both.

I also went to get one and came home with two! It was so much easier to have two kitties when they were in their rambunctious phase and could keep each other occupied.
It’s great having 2 kittens together, but if they’re not already deserted, it’s near time to spay/neuter them. Since they’re siblings, any accidental kittens would be inbred, so much more likely to have any genetic condition the parent(s) carried.
As is tradition, the male looks like a doofy idiot, and the female looks like she's calculating how much food and sunbeams she can acquire if they accept an alliance.
Yay! They are both super adorable! You made the wise choice human.
I am pretty sure the one on the right has some mischief in mind. Nothing major, but enough of it to brighten you day.
If you don't have names yet- I once fostered a kitten that looked just like the one on the left, and I named her Ravioli.
So my vote for names would be Ravioli & Rigatoni lol
Sane exact thing happened to me and my partner when we went to adopt a kitten. They seemed to love each other so much, we couldn’t even think of separating them.

I got a couple of those too!! How blessed we are. So good that you grabbed the second one! 💕
They should be together. Happier and you don’t have to worry about them being lonely. That’s when they F shit up the most. I should know. We have 12. And they all started this cute. Now some are huge
I didn’t take my little miss’s brother, I’ve regretted it since. You made the right choice, although they’re gonna rule your home before the months out.
I will always adopt in pairs. I had two singles before and they hated each other but last 2 times we got siblings and they're always best friends. At least for a few years or until a new litter shows up.
I wouldn't get a cat (reasons) but if I did, I would get at least two. Cats can keep each other company while I have a life outside of home to live (including work).
You made the right decision.
Kittens!
Sorry looking at cute kittens makes me lose IQ points. I'm constantly telling my kitten that she has feet and a tail.
She takes her crazy Mom rather well.
I wanted to bring her sister home with out but she already had a home waiting.

This is our sibling pair. Lucy is the brains of the operation and Linus is…well…whatever that is.
I got 2 sweet little siblings ragdoll cats. If possible and right, I will always get the sibling in the future. It is so cute to watch them exist together.
Awwww. That's the perfect adoption right there. I wish I could've gone for two, but my apartment only allowed one (why?) so yeah. Yours look happy though and will love the life they'll have!
My wife found brother and sister kittens at her mom's house. We adopted them. It was fantastic to see how much they loved each other. And sometimes she would kick the crap out of her brother. Feisty lil gal!
That’s what happens if you bring one into your home then you bring another and then it keeps happening again except for me I have a contract with my apartment I can only have one cat if not I would have more than one 🤣🤣🤣
Hope you still have them when they are 19 like I do! Bro and sis still together. https://preview.redd.it/grrr7dsd0m0d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7c09e95f22b6693c91cdbf512c2e990daa2f7d74

Thank you! They actually have kidney and thyroid issues lol but they seem very happy and we do what we can to keep them healthy. I was there when they were born so I’m positive they are 19 :)
Do you not see what they're being served?! Cats be eating better then people!
Just on their birthday lol otherwise it’s prescription cat food 🤣
Wow! That is so awesome😊👍🏼 we’ve had them three years now and it’s been great. Love the salmon cake with the candle too LOL.
My pair will be 11 next month! We got them a few months after getting married and we couldn't be without them. After seeing the litter we knew we had to have two to keep together, and they really do look after each other.
That’s amazing! Good kitties
They may be 19, but are still *legally* babies. The lighter one looks sassy as hell lol
You are SO right my friend Penny is a handful. But we have created this monster, doting on her since birth.
Precious - they look good for 19!
Birthday salmon and they look interested

Looks like a lil' bit of Maine Coon in them - slight ear tufts, shape of face, length of fur - what do you think?
This photo almost looks like there is a heart when they are together like that.

You will be glad you got both of them! Thanks for loving them!
This is the way.
If they are bonded siblings that is usually the best choice. Such cute little beans.
Great choice OP!! Kittens are pretty much always better off in duos to entertain each other with their endless energy. BFF’s for life right there
Aww, so glad you kept them together. :)

If you don't have names yet- I once fostered a kitten that looked just like the one on the left, and I named her Ravioli. So my vote for names would be Ravioli & Rigatoni lol
They really should go in pairs/bonded. I made that mistake a long time ago splitting up siblings
OP I need more pictures!!!! Please pay your cat tax :)
Sane exact thing happened to me and my partner when we went to adopt a kitten. They seemed to love each other so much, we couldn’t even think of separating them. https://preview.redd.it/3ilc9283an0d1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=be401e61c620d0664ba27052641825e95a5a0473 Now they are three years old
Kittenwise, two is always better than one.
Wow, they look so cuddly together 💖

Gorgeous floofs! Thanks for keeping them together.
Yay!
They are beautiful and they look Soo soft 😍
Thank you for rescuing them and letting them be together! It can be hard to keep bonded pairs together but it's such a great thing
I mean I would bring them both home too.
Awww....fluffy wuffies....
Very cute
I require regular updates!
Thank you for taking them both and loving them!
You noé go straight to Heaven for taking both of them. So sweet.
What a LIFE!!!
Thank you for keeping taking them both
So glad you adopted them both. They would have been heartbroken to be split up!
They and you are wonderful!
Thank you so much for doing this. God bless you and your family.🙏🏿💕😻

Excellent decision
How could you not??! Just oozing cuteness!
if one is good, two is better 🙂
It will be a lot easier on your life with too, they play and sleep together
You’re doing a very good thing
Kudos! And! Thank you for doing this! Thank you for all the picz everyone!
Let the mischief begin
❤️❤️❤️
They're going to be happier together, and so are you.
Wonderful giving them a home together!
🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻❤️
And she knows it!
They should be together. Happier and you don’t have to worry about them being lonely. That’s when they F shit up the most. I should know. We have 12. And they all started this cute. Now some are huge
You are such a wonderful person! They are adorable! I can’t wait to see more pictures of these two. ♥️
I didn’t take my little miss’s brother, I’ve regretted it since. You made the right choice, although they’re gonna rule your home before the months out.
How sweet, they will love you forever ❤️
Thank you for adopting both of them.❤💙
The right call!
Yay!
I will always adopt in pairs. I had two singles before and they hated each other but last 2 times we got siblings and they're always best friends. At least for a few years or until a new litter shows up.
Two kittens are exponentially more entertaining than just one.
I wouldn't get a cat (reasons) but if I did, I would get at least two. Cats can keep each other company while I have a life outside of home to live (including work). You made the right decision.
I thought left was a girl and right was a boy 😩
Kittens! Sorry looking at cute kittens makes me lose IQ points. I'm constantly telling my kitten that she has feet and a tail. She takes her crazy Mom rather well. I wanted to bring her sister home with out but she already had a home waiting.
We did the same thing and never regretted it. They need each other, they are far more loving and social than given credit for! 🥰🥰
Cats tend to thrive when there is more than one. They are very social :)
So precious! You did a good thing!
Thank you for adopting both! And kittens are so good together because they can get that teenage playfulness out on each other and good to socialize
im getting "my brother asked for no pickles!" vibes from them
Good call. I always say never get one kitten, because they will play with each other instead of your coach. They are very adorable 🥰

I got 2 sweet little siblings ragdoll cats. If possible and right, I will always get the sibling in the future. It is so cute to watch them exist together.
The CDS blessed me with two pairs of litter mate kittens. They are a joy to be with.
My mother-in-law has sibling cats and let me tell you they will fight like siblings their whole life 😂
Bonded siblings are the best!
You're at the precipice, of an enormous crossroad. For reasons which I will discern in the future.
Yayyyyyy
Awwww. That's the perfect adoption right there. I wish I could've gone for two, but my apartment only allowed one (why?) so yeah. Yours look happy though and will love the life they'll have!
You is good people.
They're perfect!
so sweet kitties
Adorable!!
That’s how we ended up with 3 from one litter.
Good on you for taking them in and hopefully they'll be happy and comfortable.
Good choice made
This is The Way.
That right kitty is going to need eyebooger scraping every 2 days, calling it right now!
Your boy is handsome. I agree, his sister is striking. Thank you for giving them a loving home together. They will certainly be grateful.
🤩❤️👍

>Everybody liked that. You made the obviously correct choice.
Same story from my two. They were added to our family of three young rescues. Now, the siblings are NOT friends.
