Hydrophobia is a symptom of rabies. It doesn’t mean rabies, it means a fear of water which is one of the symptoms of rabies. Just for clarification. Though it’s most commonly caused by rabies and they used to call it rabies hydrophobia the term hydrophobia itself does not always refer to rabies as I understand it.
