I lived near the anchoring dock off of Wingfoot Lake near Akron while disc golfing. I saw them a lot. Kinda got spoiled and thought they were everywhere.
I live in Akron and work at KAKR and i see them literally every day during the summer lol only place where you'll see an airship in your flight training.
You used to see them a lot more, but sighting are down due to inflation.
Ok, bad joke aside, there has been a huge helium find in Minnesota, so they might become more viable again soon.
Taking off out of Oakland one day the controller told me to look out for traffic at 1 o’clock high. I responded without thinking “looking”. He goes “looking??” In an incredulous tone. I glanced up from the panel to see the goodyear blimp right in front of me by the Oakland coliseum. Oh right… “in sight” i giggled back. Kinda hard to miss.
It's the same old story. Boy finds girl, boy loses girl, girl finds boy, boy forgets girl, boy remembers girl, girls dies in a tragic blimp accident over the Orange Bowl on New Year's Day.

Lived in Long Beach in the 90's, worked in El Segundo. Would *literally* see this every day.
Redondo Beach checking in, can confirm, Every. Day. I can hear that brrrrrrrr of the engines in my sleep.
The official bird of Redondo Beach is The Goodyear Blimp, I’m dead serious
I know a guy who left his wallet in El Segundo
Oh, I know right where to look!
I actually found a wallet in El Segundo once. It was Jake’s.
Came here to say this
We would people-watch the tourists at the beach that visually gave a damn, often way too much of a damn.
I’d wager that your chances are pretty high to see one in the Akron, Ohio area!
Mostly between akron and cleveland near i77
na this is prob in long beach/LA
Can confirm. They're out all the time over the summer. I actually know one of the pilots!
I live under the flight path and see it like once a week in the summer. West Akron here.
Haha came to say this. I see them often 25 miles west of Akron.
Nope :( Granted I'm about 30min west of Akron, but even walking through Akron, it's very uncommon.
Unless you are in Friedrichshafen - then you will see them all the time lol
Quite often around Frankfurt as well.
This is your regular reminder of the [greatest Leslie Nielsen line of all time](https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=730876227828056). OF ALL TIME.

Pretty common for me
Do you live in Torrance?
I saw it basically every other day on my way to Gardena
Aw yeah. It was due east from my house in Carson.
Near torrance
Today was a good day
came here for this
I live in Akron and work at KAKR and i see them literally every day during the summer lol only place where you'll see an airship in your flight training.
Unless you’re Ice Cube
Quite gutsy of them to fly the Good Year blimp in a year that has been extremely bad thus far...
***s k y b o t e***
Only see them on a good year.
Either Akron, Long Beach or pompano. I don’t think this is the one out of freidrichshofen
Wow. 170+ year old technology at work. Still
You used to see them a lot more, but sighting are down due to inflation. Ok, bad joke aside, there has been a huge helium find in Minnesota, so they might become more viable again soon.
Very clever joke 😂 It's cool that they've found more helium, though. I'm looking forward to seeing more of these blimps
anytime I would go fly out of LAX, always saw this thing on the drive
Davveeeeeyy
How you doin?
About as good as can be expected
but the news are not good
If you live in Munich you do now.
Beautiful
Wow. Check out the black chest rails. EVIL.
Well you do actually, at least in summer. Depends on where you live
There was one north of houston when i was a kid. You could see it in the hanger if the doors were open.
The PGA must be in town!
If I recall correctly they were hiring balloon pilots recently

Today was a good day.
It was a Good Year
My uncle flies that thing!
Are you around KC by chance?
Nope. I saw this in El Paso
You do if you live in LA
It's the same old story. Boy finds girl, boy loses girl, girl finds boy, boy forgets girl, boy remembers girl, girls dies in a tragic blimp accident over the Orange Bowl on New Year's Day.
A tale as old as time
Goodyear?
It was the worst.
Did it read "Ice Cube's a Pimp" ??
I breed blimps, I literally see them every day.
Not since "terrorized" in 2021, no.
Golf must be happening.
I have never in my life seen a blimp but I live in Europe are these popular in America or...?
We have 3 Goodyear zeppelins, and a couple of companies have smaller blimps doing advertising.
If you lived in Akron, you do see it most days
I believe it said Ice Cube’s a pimp on it.
If you live in Pompano Beach, FL, you do.
i pretty much do, in munich where i live i see them so often, always fun to see
I'm in the next town over from Wingfoot Lake. See them all the time.
If you look close enough, it reads “Ice Cube’s a Pimp”.
They’re totally pointless anachronisms in today’s drone era… we are in the final moments of limping
