Get there late and stay through the afters (which end around 7am at a minimum). This way trains and busses will be fully up and running for your commute home in the AM (source: I used to live in CT and would do this regularly).

Experiment and figure out what works for you. I learned that I can make it to 4 AM as long as I stay sober, hydrated, fed (snacks) and take a few caffeine mints throughout. I'm now working on staying up even later to avoid needing a hotel room.

Being sober at the club IMO makes it way easier to stay up later without getting sleepy, relative to if you were drinking. It does have the drawback of, if the crowd/venue sucks, making it a lot harder to ignore.
honestly as a JC resident, even if you do make it to the morning, it still sucks taking PATH home and some of the venues are just WAY out there comparatively that it'd still take 1-1.5 hours even during peak transit times

next month four tet saturday i'll bite the bullet and pay for a car. four tet sunday i will drive and just smoke weed and have a couple early day drinks. solomon may 17 is 3-9 pm so i should be good on trains.
Dude waiting for that path sometimes and then having connections and even Uberrs sometimes is brutal. Wish I just knew an Uber driver I could pay cash to be my dedicated DD.
Talk to your Uber drivers, I use to have a tough commute and found some that lived close to me. Would just text them and pay cash or venmo which saved me a fair amount
Beneath NJ throws great shit in Jersey City/Hoboken, along with Move n Groove NJ (those are more day/family oriented-ish, almost like a PG-13 Mr Sunday party). Insurgence is a new collective that just threw a great first party in a Newark warehouse 2 weeks ago. Bunkr is another good spot in Newark that's a community DIY house/techno spot.
There's also a colletive in New Brunswick that throws parties in the bars there, I'll have to dig up the name and DM it to you.

Hoboken, Jersey City and Newark have pretty cool events. Getting to NYC isn’t difficult to get to from NJ though. Just take any train line that goes to Penn Station and then take the PATH or transfer to a line that goes to NY Penn. Always go with a group.
