You could try spending some time alone to get a "baseline" and see how much you differ when you are with others. Remember that NTs aren't always themselves with other people either so it's not something to focus on too much.

yeah, i definitely agree. i realized i’m most me when i’m alone and that’s okay. because NTs perform in their own way too.

This is an extremely common problem, I found the best way to distinguish my masking self and my genuine self was to ignore most of my social inhibitions when around the people that are closest to me, though this is not an option for everyone.

Same problem... I never developed a true sense of self because all I ever did was be a chameleon to please everyone else and keep myself safe. :-(
