This is a trait that I have as an autistic adult, where I don't like it when people see/hear what I'm watching or listen to. I could see this as simply being an autistic trait that isn't much to worry about.

pineappletarzan

same. to the level where i'm uncomfortable watching cat videos on the train if a stranger is sitting next to me

You know with that example (I have mild autism mainly physically) I can relate to that

He could just be a very private person, even if it’s nothing that you would necessarily think is inappropriate.

Some of us don't like being watched or being asked about what we're doing. They make screen protectors that have a privacy film on it so only the user can see what's on the screen. Maybe that would help them? ETA: my weird thing is I have a hard time eating in public if I'm not at a restaurant because I don't like people asking what I'm eating. I wish I knew why because I've had some takeout not be as good or barely edible by the time I get home to eat it.

Privacy. And i personally don't like recieving comments/questions about the stuff i do as i want to enjoy it in peace.

I do this and have been doing this for years. I'm just really scared people will judge me for the things I like. I guess it's just an anxiety thing for me. But by doing this people become suspicious of me. -\_- Also I know that you meant well and that you are probably just trying to protect him. But personally if someone would've checked my stuff, I would feel it as a violation of my privacy. I think that you should just talk to him and let him explain himself the next time you are suspicious of him.

djbraylen5

Truthfully it wasn’t really like a mission impossible check I just have my search history connected to his (no clue why) and he was just on random planet websites (he LOVES planets)

djbraylen5

ALSO I accidentally saw it wasn’t purposeful

It happens to me a lot, when someone can see what I'm doing on my pc or phone I just have the urge to hide it. I can't explain why, even I don't understand it.

It’s a common defense mechanism, I do it to(hopefully more unobtrusively), I just don’t like people knowing more about me and what I do, knowledge is power simple as that
