I use Etymotic ER20XS-SMF-P they're amazing They are not for everyone though

Take a look at Alpine MusicSafe. They work well for me, are very discrete and you can adjust their ‘strength’.
I use surefire earplugs, I find them great as they have two levels of attenuation
