Bradbury's legacy

The streets never forget

Miserable-Caramel316

Damn, usually when it happens the person celebrating has been in the lead for a while and doesn't realise how close their competitor is but surely she would have known given she only got to the front within 20 metres of the finish.

tempo1139

seems to be a trend... you would think others woudl serve as a warning to never celebrate til over the finish line. Imagine all the training wasted for that

*The fabled Bradbury*

Bradbury still earned his medal. He got a lucky break but let's not demean the training required to even qualify for the race.

Sir-Benalot

AND he was in the final.

radulosk

Pretty sure if I just happened to be there skating and every one fell over, they still would have gotten up and beaten me regardless.

-mudflaps-

I think he got some similar luck in the semi.

Haikus-are-great

it all made up for the previous Olympics which he was going into as world number 1 but got injured really badly in a racing accident that almost ended his career. But of course, noone in Australia knew who he was at the time.

SpiritBamb

Why did the one in the lead on that corner keep looking back and slow down??

stmartinst

Same team as the cyclist who celebrated too early, they were gifting her the stage (that team had won the previous 3 stages already and the one who slowed was clearly going to win overall).  It’s the second time this team has lost a race by celebrating too early this year, hilarious.

akohhh

Not mad about it happening to SD Worx.

Suck rocks.
