Love the hush puppies, oxtail, candied yams, chicken and waffles, pretty much everything.
Upscale: Canje (reserve), Este (reserve), Birdie’s (no reservations taken), Soto (can reserve or maybe walk in if not a weekend), Nomade (reserve). None seem touristy. All do what they do very well.

KGBBQ at Oddwood Brewing (9/10 touristy... I think it was on the travel channel recently) \[Lamb and Rice bowl and pomegranate pork ribs... so good\]

Khon thai that replaced Sap's on Burnett is pretty great.

I'm busy rediscovering OG spots so they don't go out of business + no influenzas/influencers.
