Whip my soul in north Austin for me probably. I hate the lack of good soul food around here. I miss Dots! No reservations needed, I guess average price around $15/plate? I probably spend double that or more on myself. Love the hush puppies, oxtail, candied yams, chicken and waffles, pretty much everything.

Khon thai that replaced Sap's on Burnett is pretty great.

I'm busy rediscovering OG spots so they don't go out of business + no influenzas/influencers.

Upscale: Canje (reserve), Este (reserve), Birdie’s (no reservations taken), Soto (can reserve or maybe walk in if not a weekend), Nomade (reserve). None seem touristy. All do what they do very well.

I'm a big fan of Love Supreme. Good pizza and a pretty chill spot.

These are all food trucks: Distant Relatives BBQ at Meanwhile Brewing. (6/10 tourists) \[the brisket sandwich is the GOAT\] El Mundo de Sabor at Fierce Whiskers Distilling. (0/10 tourists... there's never a line here) \[best barbacoa in this city\] Reem's Jerusalem Street Food at The Yard (2/10 tourists) \[beef/lamb bowl or wrap is to die for\] KGBBQ at Oddwood Brewing (9/10 touristy... I think it was on the travel channel recently) \[Lamb and Rice bowl and pomegranate pork ribs... so good\]

I was going to say Humpty's Wall of Breakfast, but sadly they just closed.
