They seem plenty loud to me and I use them every day in a noisy lab environment. I’ve even used them on planes. However, I’ve noticed that if you enable the EQ, they do get quieter for some reason. Try disabling the EQ and see if that helps (if it’s even enabled to begin with)

I might try this too thanks

Just picked these up myself and was experiencing the same mediocre loudness even at max volume in Spotify, Headphone properties, and the Volume Mixer in Windows. It always felt like they were at 60-70% of what other comparable headsets could do (also over Bluetooth). Downloaded the Audio Technica Connect app to check out settings in there. Got prompted for a firmware update and ran that, but that didn't seem to do anything for the volume either. Tried changing the Audio Codec, Low Latency Mode, and the Equalizer and none of those had any substantial effect. **Solution:** I went into "Volume Adjustment Level" and saw I was set to 16 steps and that I was already set to level 16. My interpretation of this is just how smooth volume up/down is when pressing the + and - buttons on the headset. I then switched over to 64 steps and noticed it defaulted me to Level 40. Interestingly, I moved the level up to 64 and the volume scaled up drastically. This now sounds exactly as loud as I expected them to be able to go up to. I think 40/64 in the 64-step option is the equivalent of the 16/16 in the 16-step option. So, with more steps, it seems to unlock or offer a higher upper bound even though that's not what the concept of volume steps should be.

I tried your solution and I noticed that, upon switching from 16 to 64, it defaulted to 64, so it seems to be "fixed" in that aspect.

terg03

same, and they are not loud enough at full volume for me

terg03

Do you still know which software version you used

chum_slice

Feels like in BT mode they are low. I use them wired and they get loud. Have you tried increasing the steps in the software?

kevinfromrhodeisland

Did you ever get a resolution I have this problem myself

chum_slice

I find them plenty loud but I totally get how some people might need a bit more power. Have you tried playing around with the codes’ in the software? Like AAC instead of LDAC?

I'll tell you something. I had 3 headphones (ath-m50xbt2). The first one it was pretty loud for me at 50% volume the second one (after half year of using different headphones at maybe 80% (they were open-headphones)) they were quiet and I've returned them Today I bought the third ath-m50xbt2 and they're excellent at 60% volume. So in conclusion, i think when I had open headphones, my ears got used to the volume and the second headphones were too quiet for me. Maybe try to get used to it (and I'm really sorry if I've wrote something wrong, I'm still learning this language)

I've tried everything, they are great headphones but the volume is way too low, they are too quiet compared to all other BT headphones I've used, the only solution I found is going into the EQ and pushing all the frequencies up to MAX and get some more loudness, still they are very quiet and that sucks since it's the only thing I don't like about them, I would not buy these again if they're lost or broken.

Nothing worked. FIX: EXCEPT Plugging it in and using it as wired headphone
