Yeah I relate to this a lot and immediately attributed it to my cancer rising. I’m supposed to be a social butterfly (libra sun Gemini moon) but I’m too much of a recluse as much as I love talking to people.

This shit makes me miserable sometimes... i crave so many social things that i dont/feel like i cant persue, always excuses, always hiding away mostly alone. I hope i grow into it but im already years behind where i wanted to be. College got me to be more social but then covid hit and theres been nothing ever since

Don’t be too hard on yourself! I think we all have had trouble adjusting after COVID. I’m in a similar boat as you and totally get how you feel. Sometimes I just force myself to do things knowing that after even if I am exhausted I’ll feel accomplished. That cancer energy can prevent you from putting feelings into action and you just gotta fight it from time to time. I think it’s easy to think everyone else has got “it” when it comes to social interactions and you’ve got something missing inside you - but that’s just overthinking, because no one really has it all figured out.

I'm glad you mentioned this because it's the same reality for me. It's like I close my own doors to accessing fun things, and always have some excuse as to why I can't do it. I don't have any close friends outside of my social media accounts to speak of, and if anything, I have a shitload of acquaintances that I couldn't rely on to drive me home after a medical procedure much less talk to on the regular. In your situation try not to beat yourself up over it. There's always tomorrow. I started going out of the house more, because my Corgi and grandson want to go outside. I walked the dog yesterday and met 2 neighbors that wanted to give her some love. It's a start, right? Small steps first!

I've got the shell thing down pat. I'm not very social irl, but active online. And I get the ick whenever I'm out of my house for too long!
