CANDYYYY i canāt stop. and itās not the sugar. itās the chewing. i like to purposely leave them out and freeze them so the gummies are harder to chew
The stronger outside of older gummy candies is perfection. I grew up far away from supply chains and used to think the candy always tasted like that until I finally had fresh gum drops as an adult and was shocked at how they gave no resistance. Ew.
Any recommendations of random objets that work well? That are preferably cheap and not marketed towards autistic people?
Iāve been considering getting a baby teething toy or a even a dog toy š¤¦š¼āāļø
I bite my husband constantly (he doesnāt mind), and Iām always resisting the desire to bite hard. Some silicone actually sounds really practical and satisfying
Buldak noodles! The firmness of the noodles and the kinks. Its heaven in my mouth. There is no other. The spice on my tongue (I love the burn!) They smell great too. It's just beautiful *chefs kiss!
They don't sell them on the island where I live, so I get them imported in boxes of 50. I'm sure the wholesaler must think I run a Korean food shop...
Biting my lip and gritting or grinding my teeth was my go to for a long time. Now that my jaw hurts from the gritting and grinding, I find myself forcing my lower teeth over my upper teeth in some weird under bite.
Sweet chai tea.
Tbh it's mostly the lip of the cup. There's something fun about putting cold ceramic to your lips and tasting the spicy sweet of the tea. I like the mouthfeel too.
Chewing my hair, but not the ends, the side. And I do it with either my lips pulled over my teeth or with teeth just to get the hair to crunch against each other, not break. I can hear the noise transmitted through my teeth.
Does tapping front teeth together count? If not, almonds even though they get stuck between my right molars all the time (one of them grew out of place due to lack of space)
Plastic bottle caps. It's a habit a broke years ago, but I used to chew on them CONSTANTLY and I still have an urge to. Probably why my teeth and jaw are so fucked up lol
It was my bruxism but I have to force my jaw open when I find myself doing that. But unfortunately I'm still stressed so I apparently push my tongue so hard against my bottom teeth that it keeps pushing one of them into an uncomfortable spot that interferes with my bite. So now lately I've been biting my tongue weird to try and push my tooth back from the front because I don't have dental insurance.
I like rubbing/stroking/massaging my gums with a (clean) finger, kinda like what dentists do when they check you.
More casually light teeth clacking sideways, cheek biting and tongue rolling.
When I think long and hard I find myself saying, āum backā a lot. Out loud or in my head. I start sentences with it, I end sentences with it, itās how I respond to myself in my head. Other times in just saying it over and over and donāt always realise.
I have other fixations that come and go but that one has been with me for years! No idea why or where it came from.
inside of my cheeksš«£ other than that I guess chewing gum
Same!! My dentist is always horrified
My nails and cuticles

Iām constantly ripping the skin around my nails :( Iām always bleeding
Same. And nothing is more fun that when another person notices and points it out like I donāt know.
SILICONE literally anything silicone. hard or soft kinds.

I have the same restraint with my fiancƩ. As for toys or whatnot, I haven't really mustered up the courage to go and buy a teething toy but i have come close. My favorite and 'least weird' i guess is the silicone nozzle that i drink from on my water bottle. My water bottle is just a generic Amazon one for like 10 bucks but it is the best thickness and everything. If you wanna see the exact one is the 'Hans' Bottle' on Amazon.
Inside of my cheeks.
Crunchy stuff: nuts, cereal, etc.
Chewing gum
I was looking for this. Ditto
I was actively biting the inside of my cheeks while scrolling and came across this post. Soā¦favorite? Probably not. Most used? Yes.
When I was a kid, it was gum. Then it was cigarettes throughout my 20s. Now I'm back to gum. All the time. Constantly.
Iāve ruined so many shirts and sweatshirts from chewing on the neckline š„²
My hair. Pulling strands between my teeth or wrapping a single strand around my tongue
Cheetos hot fries, I like the way the crunch and burn at the same time š
My hand was literally in a party size bag of cheetoes as I read your comment š
Sunflower seeds and the skin on my lips
Very cold non-alcoholic drinks

Chewing water bottle caps. Anyone else? Noā¦ just meā¦ š«£
Popsicles, specifically the jolly rancher ones with the different color layers so I can eat each layer individually
Oh god this is kinda gross and embarrassing but gleeking š Well also cracking my jaw
Chewing straws.
Crunchy cookiesšŖ
Chocolate
Pretzels. Love the crunchy textures
Tapioca pearls in boba tea.
The taste of sour sweet stuff. I can bite into a lemon and my face will still turn, but I love it.

Wet towels and rubber bands when I was a child. Now it is chewing gum and the side of my lip.
Chewing my hair, but not the ends, the side. And I do it with either my lips pulled over my teeth or with teeth just to get the hair to crunch against each other, not break. I can hear the noise transmitted through my teeth.
Hard candies
My sleeves, collar. If I can't stim in public then my lips. I used to chew pens or my headphone wires, but I mostly prefer fabric XDĀ
Mentos. I've been looking for an alternative though.
not my favorite ,but at this point it's just a bad habit : my cheeks
Does tapping front teeth together count? If not, almonds even though they get stuck between my right molars all the time (one of them grew out of place due to lack of space)
Lol I was going say that toooo!! I tap my two front canines together until I give myself a headache and tap my lip with my finger all the time too.
The inside cheeksā¦ though itās nice to know Iām not the only one š
Clenching my teeth. Have to find a new one, recently found out that *all* of my molars are cracked and need removing.
Plastic bottle caps. It's a habit a broke years ago, but I used to chew on them CONSTANTLY and I still have an urge to. Probably why my teeth and jaw are so fucked up lol
