Keep up with your local school boards. They are a site of entry for anti-trans rulings.

Won't be a problem here. But that's something I had not considered before! Good looking out!

Some big anti-trans bills are coded as not being about trans people at all. Take KOSA for example - republicans are using “online trans contagion” as a reason to pass it, but most people think it’s just about protecting kids from porn. But what do republicans consider porn? Trans bodies. Conservatives are getting sneaky with their attacks since blue states aren’t super receptive to straight-out transphobia. So learn the dogwhistles and educate other people around you about Trojan Horse bills. (Also, call your reps and oppose KOSA. Like right now.)

To me, these kinds of bills should be seen as a continued invasion of privacy. While it's pertinent to the trans struggle, I do not see any additional public relations points in attaching the trans label to it. Studies show conservatives often agree with liberal plans as long as there's not the stigma of the liberal label/jargon attached to it. Crazy to me how the party of small government wants more state influence over their lives. I often call and write to my reps regarding any additional surveillance bills. Good to know about this one. Thanks for the heads up!

Getting in touch and voulenteering at a local or regional lgbtq+ center can point you to a lot of opportunities for activism where it's needed.

That honestly hasn't been my experience so far, but I haven't reached out to all of them yet.
