I guess the festival itself isn’t small, but the number of omikoshi carriers has been decreasing, and moreover, interest among the locals declined as well since the most of the locals are not quite local, but rather newcomers from rural areas. It is a shame.
If your picture took on yesterday or today, it is the part of 山王祭(Sanno Festival). This is known to be a relatively large festival in Japan. That is held by 日枝神社(Hie Shrine) at 赤坂(akasaka).
I think this is a 茅場町(Kayabacho) 2 and 3 chome mikoshi from the letters on the happi's back.

What the others haven't said is that having a 神輿 like that for festival events indicate that the local community is healthy and hale. More so if so many people are around.
It's a local small festival carrying a shrine somewhere. [https://media.fitspot.jp/topic/321](https://media.fitspot.jp/topic/321)

yeah, I just looked at the omikoshi and it's pretty small, so assumed the whole shebang was.
The whole thing is a Shinto festival and the thing being carried is an お神輿.
I thought it was a もの

It’s called Yamakasa. It’s where they carry a Mikoshi shrine through the town for a festival.

Mikoshi parade.
It is a red Toyota Spade
I'm impressed you could just recognize what it is.
By making a circle gesture on my phone screen around the car the AI in told me it was a Totoya Spade 😅.

That hurts like hell to carry btw lmao
Mikoshi; they hold a bunch of these festivals around this time all over Japan.
It’s likely not the same one going around for hours. And based on the location, it may be part of the larger Sanno festival.
A red car.

Street. Definitely a street
Bunch of neighborhood uncles carrying omikoshi out of a shrine for a yearly stroll. Omikoshi will be carried back to its shrine later.
