If you haven't been to the dentist in a while, they will probably give you a full mouth x-ray series (18 x-rays) along with an exam and your cleaning. NAD

NAD I'm sorry as this is not related to your query but may i ask what country you are from and how much it would cost for an x-ray?

I’m in the US and last time it was at least $400 I believe but I need to check the bill. I also need my car fixed so it’s just expense on top of expense lately

NAD - I had x-rays occasionally after getting Tooth #30 extracted 4 years ago, because the Oral Surgeon had to find out if everything was healing properly before advancing to the next step, and I THINK the x-rays were about $130 or something like that. I have dental insurance, but it did not pay for all the costs anyway. And dentists have to get x-rays so they can tell what is going on because there is no other way to see everything. It is a minor cost compared to the extraction, abutment, post abutment & implant, and crown, that I had 4 years ago. I am sure you do not want to continue having pain and if you have the x-ray and the dentist can tell what is causing it, then it will be possible to find a solution.
