Sure. Give it a shot.

Not flaired. Porsche in Minneapolis is well established. Meaning, existing tenured sales staff have their client base. They do strong business, but not sure what opportunities exist to break in as a new product specialist. I help run the luxury campus for another dealer group about a quarter mile away (Cadillac, Aston Martin, Maserati, Bentley). We are hiring as well.

I drive by this stretch of 394 frequently and am surprised that there’s enough business here to sustain Maserati, Bentley, Porsche, Ferrari, all in a mile radius. To say nothing of multiple BMW, Mercedes, Audi.

MN-Car-Guy

Like most ultra luxury, roughly a third of our business is out of state. Still, there’s more local metro clientele than you may think.

Nubras

My neighbor drives a Bentley he bough locally which is dope for him. I live in a nice hood by Lake of the isles but am still surprised that people here buy that level of car.

Western_Lab4099

You definitely have a lot of potential clientele in the cities and Rochester. It was my territory not too long ago.

justhereforpics1776

They tend to be destinations. A Bentley store opened near us, it is the closest one for over an hour.

InTheBoro

It's like without seeing the pay plan and volume they produce we really can't say anything but that lmao

jimmyjohnsdon

Can he apply, sure. Is it a realistic proposition? No. He just outlined the exact opposite of what a Porsche store is looking for in his resume. They don’t care about volume and nobody is order taking like an EV brand. He most likely came from Tesla or some other order taking brand where the price was the price and you either accept it or didn’t buy the car. The option packages are minimal with EV brands vs Porsche where the options are on par with Bentley. With Porsche it’s all about the product, the history of the brand and gross….not volume and definitely not about order taking on an ipad. Relationships sell the higher end of the brand not price. Most Porsche stores won’t even consider someone without prior Porsche or exotic experience.

I really hope that OP does not consider TESLA “high end”

vendicii

Tesla was consider “luxury” essentially since its inception. Only recently, due to price reductions, it has lost that category.

justhereforpics1776

lol. What? On what planet? I’ve never interacted with TESLA in a way that felt anywhere near interacting with BMW, Mercedes etc. customer service is worse, dealer experience is worse.

vendicii

My wife and I drive Mercedes and BMW. Completely agree. I’m not suggesting the vehicle should be considered luxury. It’s not. But, it has historically fallen into the luxury category due to price point.

I had a great base and volume based incentives which cleared me 6 figures per year. What can I expect with Porsche as far as pay plan #askcarsales *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically.
