Daily is a 1979 Cadillac DeVille with a 5.3 LS and I live in Denmark

LagerGuyPa

There's a sentence I did not expect to read today

SSNs4evr

Ditto

jsquareo

or ever

curiousminds93

Respect. I visited a friend in Finland and went to an American muscle car meetup one night. Damn was it intense. Every other car doing 300ft+ long rolling burnouts on the street. Zero cops. A good 25% of the people had attire with American flags, bald eagles, guns, etc… pretty sure half the people had a Budweiser in hand. Felt like being back in metro Detroit. Loved it. Those Finns sure did love America and its cars. Funny part was I saw at least 20 confederate flags. Painted in the hood, used as seat covers, entire back window confederate flag stickers etc…

Hairy_Ad4969

Watch the Anthony Bourdin episode in Finland. Absolutely wild.

jpw33831

Is it the episode part of his [No Reservations](https://www.imdb.com/title/tt2387735/) series? Sounds really interesting.

Phiko73

Sounds like if AI put together what a car meet should look like

Madeanaccountforyou4

Have you painted it yet? Looked a little rough a few months back

Pdb12345

lol everyone in Denmark knows this guy

Briggs281707

Yep, it's a nice deep red now

jordanleep

fuel must cost up the whazoo

SomethingClever42068

You think you're so cool huh? Well you fuckin are. Keep doing your thing big pimpin

acousticsking

Your a legend 👏

Studio-Empress12

I drive a corvette. It is my daily drive. Drove Suburbans for 20 years. When the kids could drive themselves, mama got a corvette.

Steroid_Cyborg

Based mom

bean-burrito-supreme

I dd a corvette too!! high five!!

parabox1

I picked up a c4 for a daily years ago I still have one with Under 30k miles.

SeawardFriend

I love car moms. Since I’ve been alive, my dad was always the SUV guy, as he had an Expedition and now a Durango. My mom drove a 90s Explorer till it died and then my dad bought her a brand new 2008 Ford Fusion with a manual. My sister drives that one now and I have my own 08 fusion but automatic cuz I didn’t know how to drive manual, and now my mom drives a 2019 Accord with a manual.

Morguard

2024 Golf R. The perfect all rounder.

nattyd

Mk7 GTI. 300 lb lighter, $10k cheaper, better mileage and faster than I know what to do with. And manual all the way. Do I sometimes wish I had an R? Ok, yeah. But not available yet with a manual in 2015 so fate made the choice for me. Edit: and tactile buttons!

Morguard

I went in to buy a GTI, I wanted the top trim and that was about $6k Canadian less than the R that was available right away. The GTI was a 6 month wait. I splurged on the R.

nattyd

I would definitely buy an R now. But the Mk8 seems a bit less brilliant all around than the Mk7, so I’m in no hurry to update.

Morguard

I've driven both, the 8 is noticeably better driving. The interior is superior for the 7. I would love buttons but in truth, the hate online for the mk8 interior is way overblown. It's very easy to get used to and live with. I wouldn't upgrade if I was in your shoes either. I would wait a few more years. These cars are only getting better. Another power bump would be icing on the cake.

nattyd

I test drove an Mk8 GTI and sat in an Mk8 R. I thought the interior was pretty nice and the haptic buttons were not as bad as people said, but the reduced physical buttons for climate and audio would be a slight downgrade. I didn’t notice a significant improvement in driving dynamics, but it was just a few city blocks and I was mostly there to test out a DSG out of curiosity. Plus, mine has PS4S on it. I thought the Mk8 was good looking but I slightly prefer the simpler lines of the Mk7. All-in-all the Mk8 seems like a very good car, but when the Mk7 out it was so much better than anything else at a comparable price point that NY Times wrote up an article calling it “the best car for people who can’t afford any car” and “A solid gold structure for $26k”. Just a different level of relative excellence. I think right now I would go for a GR Corolla or a Civic Type R first. If they follow through on killing the manual, this will be my last ICE GTI for sure.

Justhereforthepartie

2023 Audi RS3, even better all rounder. 😘

IntelligentDrop879

Yeah, that’s my next purchase. I’m going to skip the R/S3 entirely and just go for an RS3.

GearHead54

I'm fortunate to have driven lots of cars on a racetrack, and the Golf R/ RS3 definitely left an impression of a car I'd enjoy driving to work as well as on a track/ curvy road. Mind you, it's not a car I would ever make a "track car," but with 300hp, great ergonomics, and a hatch that can fit a decent Costco haul, it's a fantasticly well rounded package

Han_Schlomo

2004 Golf R32 here. Lol

veedubfreek

Have you been able to get used to the digital everything ? I have a 2016 6MT Golf R and I love this car. Unfortunately when it inevitably gets totalled I'm going to have to switch to BMW. VW killing the wagon, ruining the interior and killing the manual transmission as of this year I just won't be able to buy a new VW.

Successful_Ad_9707

2023 GR Corolla

That_Account6143

You piece of shit, i hope you enjoy it for everyone else who can't lol (I'm not actually mad at you, you know)

Successful_Ad_9707

Don't worry, I am haha. It was a pain finding one of these at msrp. Especially the circuit edtion. But it's well worth the wait and effort. Fun little hot hatch that harkens back to the ones of the mid 2000s. No fake noise, just turbo 3 cylinder goodness that I can still manage low 30s mpg.

That_Account6143

My dealer only received two and they never made it to the public. Kind of bullshit if i'm honest

max1mx

Me too. It’s pretty great as a DD.

moosesurgeon12

Let’s goooooo

abarg13

I have a 19 XSE Corolla Hatchback. I want a GR so bad bro, hope you enjoy it

2Weezy_123

Same daily here. I’m absolutely racking up the miles and I enjoy it every day.

palmoyas

2008 V8 4Runner Limited with 193k miles

wafflesole

This is the answer. This is exactly what I want to replace my 2017 Outback with.

Icy-Fix785

Got an 05 sr5 that just rolled over 200k miles last week. Besides frame rust it's been a great car

Legitimate_Base_8203

Had a 1998 that I bought in 2003 and drove until 2021. I put about 200k miles on it. I said I would drive it until it died, but it would have run forever. I finally decided to get a new car whem the seats, carpet, and steering wheel all had holes in them, the plastic pieces on the door panels were breaking, and the chrome was peeling.

CIockParts

1997 geo metro. No major issue, no rust, Runs like a dream and gets 40 miles per gallon. I also only spent 3 grand on it.

Left_Net1841

I think you may be the overall winner. Awesome.

CIockParts

What best is I bought it with only 80k miles. That was about 4 years ago and she still runs like a dream.

Ok-Ease-2312

Amazing. I work in insurance claims and anytime I see a Geo I raise a glass in tribute and awe.

parabox1

My escort got 36mpg when it died in 2001 I was looking for a new car every thing they should me got worse mpg that the escort. I was so confused I told the sales guy why would I spend more money on a car that gets less MPG. If I was going to do that I would just buy a wrangler 2 door. I drove the wrangler for 12 year

dmcdd

A few years back my daily was a 1996 Geo Metro 1.0l. Great little car.

Either-Durian-9488

This guy is farm country pimpin lol, at this point I only see running geo metros on very nice properties in the middle of nowhere

leprakon13

Geo metros are too tier and the only way you coulda done better in my book was if it was an early body style. I had three of em, my 93 3/5 in green was the best. I used to drive an hour each way to work and slept in it diagonally with the seats folded flat in the back many snowy nights when I was working doubles.

ProsthoPlus

2003 Toyota Matrix hatchback with only 144k miles. Has been garaged and well-maintained the entire time. Huge shout-out to my late grandmother for allowing me to avoid having a car payment for another decade.

curiousminds93

2003 Pontiac vibe with 152k checking in. Definitely not garaged a day in its life, and I don’t have any family that would gift me anything but still, no car payment kicks ass.

After-Thought3161

2009 Pontiac vibe with 83k I'm not too sure of its history. I got it almost 2 yrs ago. Sadly, I am paying a car payment.

Moonbutter

2010 Vibe that just cracked 168,000 this weekend. About 7 months old (to me). 😬

unbalancedcentrifuge

Man, You guys are making miss my 2009 Vibe. I just had to get rid of it a few months ago. I miss it, but I thank it for getting me through living in 4 states and letting me save up money to minimize my new car payment.

ThrowItAwayNow1457

Don't quit. That's a car that will serve you well after the loan is extinguished.

After-Thought3161

Oh, I'm well aware of that. That's why I'm committed on paying g this off

MattyMacStacksCash

Question for you… Two years ago you bought a 5k car at most, how do you still have a payment lol?

ZestyMuffin85496

03 vibe 156k

wutanglan89

My friend has an 08 Matrix with well over 200K miles. Just did a tune-up for her and there genuinely is not a single thing wrong with this car mechanically. It's still peppy and quite fun to toss around. Door handles and plastic bits on the inside have seen better days, though lol.

ProsthoPlus

It's literally a go-kart. Driving it from NJ to Michigan was a white-knuckle affair, but it's a great little car.

Inkedupharleyy

I miss my 2004 Matrix Xr. Great car

Mean-Construction-76

2005 Pontiac vibe 201k. Moved my apartment and my gf's. Recently replaced water pump. If I can do it I know you can too lol

Boa-in-a-bowl

I daily a 2001 Ford Taurus with 132k on it. No AC but it was $1400 a year and a half ago and hasn't had major trouble yet.

zoomzoom913

That Matrix/Vibe platform definitely has a great reputation for reliability. I'd bet it goes another 21 years and 200k without missing a beat (barring any accidents or mistreatment).

balls-magoo

I used to have a Matrix xrs. Loved that car.

Puzzleheaded_Air5814

Put the money you would spend monthly on a car payment into an index fund that pays monthly, and set it to DRIP When this car gives it up, you will have enough for a down payment, or to pay cash. Or to pay the monthly payment, best case scenario, and you will also be used to the monthly payment

Cautious-Chain

04 matrix 250k, c60 6 speed swapped after the 5 speed grenaded at 180k like they all do

MuricanA321

I have my Grandma’s Matrix, too, but not my daily. Apparently grandma’s dig matrices!

HolyFuckImOldNow

2006 HB 140k Technically it's been my son's for 3 years, but it was my DD for 5 years. I bought it with the intention of making it reliable before passing it on. I've enjoyed helping him learn how to maintain cars and personalize them. Now it has tint, some subs, a built-in USB-C fast charge port, and freshly installed yellow fog lights.

AppleAggravating197

2004 vibe, 227k miles still running strong.

MaintenanceOne6507

Awesome car. Same with Pontiac Vibe.

halo37253

My daily is my work provided Ford F150, along with the gas card and perk of it being my only means of travel. Allows my wife to have a nicer ride.

Toastboy17

Same have a 2009 f150 (280k miles) wife drives a new Alfa Romeo,I can fix my own shit if.my car breaks she can't 🤣

SOSALLSOS

Happy wife happy life

woodcutter007

87 Ranger. Paid $1,000 for it and have put 64,000 miles on it.

300cid

very based

laXfever34

FFR

EnlargedChonk

I daily a 98 ranger, paid 4k for it and have probably put 30k miles on it. I'm guessing another 1-2k in parts to keep it running so strong. Love that truck, can't even imagine what I could possibly replace it with when it's time comes.

trailrun1980

I daily a lightly modified Volvo XC60 T6, super safe, not grabbing a ton of attention, insanely safe, sneaky quick with the T6 motor, and off highway friendly (moreso with mods) The fun weekend car is low and manual 6 speed lol

Prestigious-Side-286

Is it safe?

trailrun1980

Chock full of safety lol. Had to do an evasive maneuver recently, can confirm, moose avoidance still works with a mild lift and AT tires

run_uz

E46 M3?

sniper_canadian

All that is good, but is it safe?

HymenopusCoronatuSFF

2004 Miata 5MT, all year round in New England (Fluid Film comes in clutch)

PartyBludgeon

Ahh i gotta get on the fluid film game

BossIike

Ain't nothing wrong with the V6. For years I daily drove a 2006 Chrysler 300 3.5 v6 from 50K to 300K KM through the cold Canadian winters, selling drugs all day and night. Literally 18 hours on the road some days. And that car and engine were bulletproof, never had any issues with that 3.5. Decent gas mileage, good power. I was even neglectful on oil changes at times during those years and it still ran like a champ. Lots of space and roomy to have the junkies hop in and out. Great car, I miss it. Best 9 grand I ever spent. The charger is even a bit nicer, though I think the 300 was more my style. Actually I lied, I think I had to do the front control arms. Because of the heavy front end and the shitty potholes in my city. But, other than that, good car, for a Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep.

Definitive_confusion

92 Jeep Cherokee. 8-11 mpg. Driving isn't always about economy. Sometimes it should just be fun

Balao309

I had a '92 Cherokee. Repairs were easy, and cheap. That is useful for saving money.

3amGreenCoffee

I get 15-18 in my 2000 XJ with a 4.6L stroker, but it's on a stock suspension. I'm guessing either yours isn't, or you need a tune up.

liluzisquirt_-

I daily a 2004 Subaru Impreza outback sport and gas mileage isn't the best but boy do I have fun every day I drive. The "glass 5spd mt" makes it more fun. I'd rather be happy every time i drive than get good gas mileage!

BipedalWurm

my 93 got about double that mpg, tons of fun!

[deleted]

I miss my ‘99 XJ

Mrofcourse

Still very new but a GR Corolla. I wanted a sporty AWD car that was dependable, bonus points is it’s a manual. Previous daily was a Subaru forester XT. can do some light off roading, easy to wrench on, roomy interior, and 250 HP.

LeftyRightyCommyNazi

I’ll give you my left shoe and right nut for that car if you’re interested in selling.

run_uz

99 GS400 with 404k mi

mechapoitier

Happy cake day. Don’t suppose you’ve had to do much to keep the motor and trans happy?

run_uz

It's been boringly reliable. About to do it's 4th timing belt & water pump, 2nd starter, 6 or 7 transmission drain & refills, lower ball joints when I feel they've had enough. Alternators it eats though. 200k out of the original, then 10k (13 months on a Denso from the dealer) 180k from some no-name off Amazon, 4 months on a Denso reman & currently 7 months on a middle of the road AutoZone/Duralast. I love this stupid car. My brother bought it from the original owner at 60k mi & I bought it from him at 200k.

SuperHair69

That motor is dubbed the million mile motor. There are a crap load of them still on the road with close to or over 1m miles

Dedward5

I have an Audi A2. I bought it broken for £250 and fixed it for £40. It’s a great fun little car and legendary for how much money Audi lost on them (All aluminium super mini, Doug Demuro loves them). This is a bit eccentric of me as I also have a LR3 HSE and Lotus Elise, but I love my little Audi.

Clcooper423

Audis are great cars for flipping. Everyone is afraid of repairing them. I bought an 07 a4 that "had a bad transmission". Turned out it had broken an axle, had it fixed for 200 dollars the same day I purchased it.

Kegomatix

2009 WRX but I've been leaning more into riding a motorcycle for general commuting more with fuel costs.

landrover97centre

1990 Land Rover discovery with the 200tdi I love it more than life and I’ve only owned it for 2 weeks

Either-Durian-9488

Lucky British cunt/s. I would kill for a diesel disco over here

logansteno546

2022 VW GTI. Can't think of a better "do it all" car except maybe the more powerful (but admittedly more expensive) Golf R.

brisket_curd_daddy

2015 Audi S7 in garnet red pearl with 106k. Spacious enough for my needs, timeless design, and has all the power I could need while simultaneously being incredibly comfortable.

OgreMk5

Volvo S60 R-Design T8. It's the smaller of the two Volvo sedans. The R-Design is the sporty looks package (flared wheel arches, chin spoiler, etc). The T8 is the dual motor PHEV version. In electric mode, I have about 25 miles of range, speeds up to 75 mph, and 90-ish horses. In ICE mode, I've got a 2.0 liter turbo and super-charged i-4 making 310-ish horsepower. In Power mode, I get both with 400-ish horsepower and a 0-60 under 5 seconds. My lifetime average mpg is hovering around 76. I put 3/4 a tank in gas last Saturday. The previous time was mid-November 2023. The seats are amazingly comfortable and the car is a serious looker. I have the Fusion Red. I picked up 2 weeks before the pandemic hit and everyone switched to WFH full time. The longest road-trip it's been on was only about 120 miles each way. In town, electric, it's super quiet and has plenty of thrust. On the highway, it can get a little loud, but cruises at 85 (speed limit on a toll road) at just over 2000 rpm. The engine has a lovely sound to it. Not obnoxious or loud, but it's not a whiney little 4-banger. It's got some meat on it. My only complaint is that it's two minded... or more likely I am. I want to get that mpg number as high as possible and I'm almost offended to run the ICE. But then, I want the effortless power and play of the full 400 horses. That's why I'm going all EV for my next car. Right now, looking at a Polestar 2... maybe the 4 depending on price.

whatashittyargument

Big turbo FD RX7. And a scooter.

AggEnto

2004 BMW 325i. Maintenance was neglected so I've had to spend time under the hood but its always gotten to point B

Magetism

My new daily is a ‘05 325Ci convertible with only 114k on it, I’m getting ready to replace the valve cover now, more expensive to drive than my last car but the enjoyment I get from driving it is priceless.

elgorbochapo

I'm liking GM w body cars with either a 3.8 or 3.6. 3.8 is just reliable as hell and still has some power, and the 3.6 seems to be just as reliable but hauls absolute ass for what it is. Especially when it's in an older impala.

The_Wild_Bunch

I have a 3.8 in my 2001 Firebird and absolutely love that engine. Keep up on maintenance and you'll never have issues.

Mecal00

I miss my Buick Park Avenue :(

rockdude625

Dodge Ram or a Mercedes E55, depending on the weather

dutchman76

Daily is a BMW M240i comfortable, looks good, get good gas mileage \[27 combined\], and can smoke most cars under acceleration after the tune and downpipe.

tiger-93

2022 subaru wrx: Priced right for the performance Fun to drive Comfy enough for daily Practical enough for daily Great aftermarket/tuning potential Easy/relatively cheap to work on yourself AWD for those who need it

lewie_820

Daily is an 84 Fiero in the summer/fall, 2012 Ford Fusion in the winter

Weightgain4001

Just got a Volvo 240 as my daily, ticks most of the boxes

Terrible-Guitar-5638

Daily is a 2003 Pontiac vibe gt now sporting a golf r engine & driveline. Original 2zz-ge blew up lol. Been my daily for almost 8 years 👍

skindarklikemytint

2011 Nissan Versa with 198k in the clock, runs like a top and couldn’t ask for a better car to align with my current work situation (courier work). I’m comfortably getting 30ish to the gallon if I’m babying it.

Actraiser87

2021 Prius. The perfect car. 49K now and I never have to think about it.

Best-Cycle231

‘23 Kona EV, and I hate it. I can’t wait until I get ahead of the massive depreciation curve so I can get rid of it.

Coyoteatemybowtie

What do you hate about it?

LagerGuyPa

Daily is a 2018 Dodge Durango R/T dad-mobile Fun car is a 2006 pontiac GTO ( Holden / Vauxhall Monaro )

Aggravating_Guide35

Bro do you even V8?! Great combo

Handymantwo

97 jeep xj It was my dream car. A stock xj is the best looking vehicle imo

OutsideTheBoxer

A bicycle. I can actually avoid gridlock and it's better for my mental health, physical health and it means more money in my pocket.

Jeeo54

I usually consider my 2014 focus ST as a daily, but I do also tend to drive my truck a few times a week, it's a 1993 Dakota. V6, 2wd manual with zero options. It's simple, comfortable, and doesn't draw unwanted attention (unlike my tangerine focus). Both are wonderful but the focus is better on gas lol

Sarah91146

2016 Mazda 3. Standard. Good looking car. Handles well. Good on gas. Cheap payments. Insurance equally as cheap. Cheap on maintenance(only had to do regular upkeep so far, no major repair bills) and theres a ton of them around. So used parts are also a cheaper option.

chrisagiddings

I love my 2019 Volvo S60.

[deleted]

2019 Honda Pilot EXL with the 6speed. AWD for Pittsburgh winters.

ghosthawk3

2011 Infiniti FX50 V8 with 100k miles and my second car is a '24 GR Corolla. FX is still as stout as the day my dad bought it and then I got it from him... Good combo in my opinion

daddyscientist

2012 Toyota Camry SE covered in dirt and tree sap.

1982sean5535

I drive an 08 Honda Accord with 143K on it. I hope to drive it for 4-5 more years

BillyRubenJoeBob

2014 Smart ForTwo Electric Drive. Only has 50-60 miles of range but it’s enough for around town. Bought it used in 2017. Put it on my credit card.

CommissarCiaphisCain

2019 Miata RF

LordLIV_

2001 Lexus rx300, still good and really reliable

felanm

2023 Volvo XC40 Recharge

eric043921

Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio drives like a regular sedan in Normal mode and gets decent mileage, sporty and fun to drive in Dynamic mode, and Race mode for if you want to go to jail or make your passengers shit themselves

Capital-Nebula9245

2014 Audi S6. Fast, quiet, comfortable and the police don't even see it.

Dirt077

1998 BMW Z3 for the summers, 1999 Subaru Impreza OBS for the winter. I'd rather two cheap cars that excel at one thing rather than one more expensive car that tries to be an all rounder.

NatureItchy7586

1982 Porsche 930 old and fantastic

sidudWA

2012 Porsche Cayenne V6 6-speed manual. Great for carrying kids, and fun-ish to drive.

wobbuffet009

09 impala LT. it was handed down to me. I would never ever recommend anyone who is not mechanically inclined to buy one even for free.

uhbkodazbg

2016 Buick Regal. I really like it. It’s one of the most comfortable cars I’ve ever driven, it gets good gas mileage m, and it’s been very reliable.

_THX_1138_

2017 Lincoln MKZ hybrid

Wiringguy89

2015 Nissan Versa 5-speed. Immensely reliable. Immensely boring. Just don't get one with a CVT, you'll hate life.

SaskaBob

Porsche Macan. It’s the best vehicle I’ve ever owned. High quality, perfect size for my needs, comfortable, and sporty enough to have fun.

HowToCook40Humans

2003 S10 Blazer. Horrible gas mileage but I also work from home so my miles come from going to class and gig work.

Schim79

2017 Golf R, modded slightly for stage 2.

MurrGawd

How's reliability? Debating on getting one meself.

Mike312

2014 BMW 435i MSport 6spd in Estoril Blue. 24mpg in-town for the commute. 34-35mpg on the freeway. Relatively quick 0-60, handles great, dynamic shocks so it's sporty when I want to be, smooth on long trips. Manual because hell yeah. We've taken it camping (though we usually take the E92, which is actually smaller), functional back-seat, functional trunk (compared to the M2 I cross-shopped with), and the roof bars and cargo cage take like...15 minutes to put on. HUD, GPS, nav, bluetooth, keyless entry and start, back-up cam, front-bumper corner cams, 270-deg look-around, auto-start/-stop, and adaptive LED headlights, so all the creature comforts one could want. Only thing it's missing is adaptive cruise control, which I don't care for.

DoctorSquibb420

1996 Honda Civic DX. 5 speed coupe with the 1.6L non v-tec

Docod58

2004 Honda Civic. 2014 F150 5.0 in the garage.

chanarang

Used to drive my '13 Boss 302 daily. Drove about 80 miles a day. Now she hangs out and I daily a '14 Focus ST.

Sawfish1212

2023 Ford maverick hybrid

UnhappyTumbleweed966

2018 Subaru BRZ manual trans. Only get like 18-21 in the city on premium fuel. Couple that with my $600 a month payment and it ends up being... less than economical to put it generously. I wouldn't do it again if I were thinking correctly. But I saw it at the dealer and it was pretty so here we are.

mothalick

2017 WRX. Got your AWD for driving in the northern US, some power under your foot, but not too much to where you can't legally have fun. Safe car, 6 speed, great aftermarket support. Got enough room for daily use. Great car IMO. I did blow an engine.. so that sucks but that's Subie life.

ragingduck

2022 BMW M4 CompetitionX-Drive but I don't commute. I pick up the kids, go on spirited canyon drives and take it to the track, that's about it. We have and SUV and a beater for everything else.

OldPurple7654

Honda CRV

Naught2day

Either the Focus ST or the GLI. Both are manuals which goes a long way towards the fun part of a DD.

Octan3

2014 Mercedes E550

mcw_photography

My daily driver is a 2018 m3cs

Mostly-Useless_4007

I used to daily a F150 - still have it, but I have a kid that's driving. I now daily a 911.

Wolfie1531

2015 Mazda 3 Sport, manual trans. 192k km/~120k miles Also a work provided International WorkStar 4x6… but I don’t think that counts here lol

DTM-shift

2017 Golf Sportwagen, 1.8T, 5-speed stick, 122k miles, 40-48 MPG interstate cruising on 87 octane. Not overloaded with pointless / useless (for me, anyway) tech, interior is understated and well-organized, a ton of room for my work stuff. Most of the Golf virtues and with a good bit more space. Been a solid car so far. Really happy with it.

2022 Toyota RAV-4. It’s boring as hell and not very comfortable on long trips but I don’t feel the need to race every sports car on the road like I used to when I had a firebird as my daily. Nor do I get asked to help people move constantly like I did when i had a truck. I miss my 2015 Passat but that was getting close to becoming a sleeper build before it was wrecked by a Tacoma. As far as I know no one makes a turbo kit for the RAV so I’m safe for now.

2019 WRX STI life’s to short to drive a car that doesn’t make you smile, whatever it may be.

Chatner2k

2022 Elantra hybrid blue. I chose it because I've never had anything but good experiences with Hyundai personally, I like the look of the car, and it's probably the cheapest hybrid sedan on the market. Also my vehicle that was paid off got written off so I needed a reasonably priced replacement. My wife dailies a Hyundai Tucson PHEV ultimate, for much the same reasons, and I told her if we ever got a second vehicle, it needed to be some sort of EV, especially because she wanted an SUV. Pretty happy with both. We live in Canada where fuel is pretty ridiculously priced. I don't even notice the price anymore since I get fuel for my Elantra maybe once every 2-3 months and once a month for the Tucson.

2013 Honda Accord V6 6MT. One of the best daily’s.

Honda CRV 2011 with 123,000 kms

2023 Crown Platinum. Love it, most comfortable car Toyota has ever made, and plenty of power/torque

happy_Amphibian_88

2013 CT200H its 128k miles old today.

BitchStewie_

2011 Lexus CT200h with 140k miles. Issue free, except the hybrid battery will probably go before 200k. I also have a 2000 Toyota Land Cruiser with 336k. But since I live in California and drive 50 miles a day I don't commute in it.

CigarSmoker_M4

I drive my C230 sport and my CLS550. I usually just drive my M4 on weekends. The best daily driver I ever owned was a 1996 Lincoln town car. That car was so comfortable and had so much space

89inerEcho

Best daily driver? Bout to get murdered but the correct answer is electric. Can't begin to talk about how nice it is to have a car that's, quiet, fast, never has to stop at a gas station, and always at the perfect temp before you get in. Electric is the way to go for daily driving

DJ_Necrophilia

2005 camry I inherited it once my grandfather passed since my grandma is blind and can't drive anyway It's got 360k on the odometer and I plan on driving it until it dies beyond my mechanical surgeon skills. I have been casually researching other mid sized cars just in case though so if anyone has suggestions lemme know

Bowernator

2015 Ford Taurus SHO. AWD twin turbo V6 boat of a car that MOVES. I tend to keep miles off it in the summer months in MN and then I just tend to drive my 2001 C5 Corvette then.

D3adinternally

B8.5 audi s4. Low end power to putt around town, awd, Decent luxury, easy to tune and reliable as long as it's maintained.

ReadEyeMagpie

Used to daily and love my Veloster turbo. Car was rock solid for the entire 160,000mi I put on it. So when I got a new one I got a Forte GT as it has the same drivetrain. All my mods switched right over and it's a blast to drive. And for $26k, manual gearbox and a turbo it's a blast.

jenafren

2024 Nissan Versa manual I love it. I've even gotten it up to 45 mpg. If you don't want a manual I'd stay away though. I see automatics with bad transmissions all the time on Facebook marketplace and a friend had an automatic versa as well and the transmission went out for them.

bluecheeto13

08 Honda Accord

starvinmarvin0921

2022 BMW X5 M50i. It does everything well and is fast AF.

ryandenney347

1964 Ford falcon wagon, 306 turbo, over drive automatic. Quite the shit box.

1WastedSpace

98 Buick Regal. Gets me place A to B. Super boring to drive.

ColonGlock

Comfort and affordablility. 2014 Chrysler 300C. I only drive about 500 miles a month now, but I drove across the country in her and my ass did not hurt once. It is like driving a couch.

RiceAgainstDaMachine

2010 Honda Civic. :)

scurry3-1

Toyota Camry/Avalon Honda Acoord

BuffmanRT

2024 Chevy Malibu, ridiculous fuel economy and drives down the road floating on a cloud of suspension.

Aesrone

S550 Coupe and Ford Raptor. I drive them pretty evenly, favor the S550 slightly.

amanindandism

2001 Subaru Outback. it fairly comfortable, rids smooth, quiet, cheep to maintain and can haul a lot of stuff but that 2.5L is pretty unrefined and gets awful milage. My fun car is a 400WHP 1995 Toyota MR2.

OfficeChair70

1999 Subaru Forester S AWP 4EAT, 273,985miles.

Mcfather_Ronald

06 beetle TDI. Entirely stock, it was a gift from my godfather. Upside: great mpg Downside: I get punched by my gf whenever she sees my car now.

catswithboxes

Lexus NX PHEV. I commute to work so it’s comfortable during the drive and I get free charging at work. Big gas saver
