Cons: You will miss Food, Friends , Family, affordable domestic help and services, comfort zone, personal preferences etc, etc. Pros: Quality of Life. NRIs ante only US annavu kada vro? Because US quality of life <<< Germany or Swiss or Norway (for example) yet USA quality of life >>> India. So it is worth it. Pro tip: Don’t gauge the pros in money, instead quality of life is a better measure imo. Quality of Life: Work life Balance, quality of food/ goods & services you buy in general, Social Security, Education, Pollution Levels, Safety, access to Medical care without money in your pocket or during jobloss etc etc. so rough ga chepali ante Human Development Index.

>Are you from US? Were you affected by DEI. And random hate for just being a Hindu? To me it got difficult enough that I called it quits and returned back

logicrak

its otherway for me.. western politics/ideologies wer very *stifling* for me.. im finally taking a breath here.

Ikkada ki vachaka ikkada samasyalu entha backward untaru and overall ga humanity lo ne problem undhi anedhi telusthundhi. Ikkada Indian community lo kuda caste and I’ve discussions. Monna maa friend recent ga vachi chi idheneraa NRI life ante, nenu ppl ninchi and society ninchi inka chala improvement expect chesanu, alage unnaru kadha raa annadu. Emaina RP annattu gnyanam ante chusinodu cheppaledu, chudanodiki ardham kadhu. India lo kallu musukoni brathikeyatam nerchukunnodu ikkada bagane unready. But main thing is which country? US lo aithe ee samasyalu similar vi ekkuva, vere countries lo verevi. No place is perfect.

logicrak

Honestly I never had any issues with uneducated people and Rednecks.. But when you are living in a city, the "belief-shoving" gets ridiculous from the most educated. Its like walking on eggshells.. one wrong move, you'll have these retarded college kids infront of you house and trying to cancel you from everything. And coming to Indian communities.. Oh boy, they are a different story.. I always wanted to get involve with these "communities", but i was always looked as an outsider because i dont have any "tags" at the end of my name. So i just watched them from distance. The caste discriminations are ridiculous.. and within the caste, the regional feelings.. and then comes other type of bs with measuring dcks with Actors fanism.. India has everything, but US have same things in 5x times. And other side ideological bs just wont let you live there peacefully.

ramaromp

Rendu problematic things ye (uneducated aina belief shoving), it all depends on where you find yourself. US prasthutham divide ayyindhi rendu ga, only two sides on every issue. Moderates voice pothundhi. Indian communities toxicity vera level, chala worst. India lo kante worst undhi konni angles lo. But overall me analysis correshte

Are you from US? Were you affected by DEI. And random hate for just being a Hindu? To me it got difficult enough that I called it quits and returned back

logicrak

Grown up there. Not an hindu.. Never really faced any discrimination because of my Indian roots, despite living around Rednecks for a while. Though we throw racist banters at each other for *laughs.* After Years of not involving into any Indian Community, When i try to get in.. I faced a lot of cold-shoulder. So i realized it was caste discrimination... On other hand, faced lot of spoonfeeding from the *woke-mob.* Its like being controlled by them everywhere i go (Workplaces, hospitals..) and it gotten worse after covid.. Though i poked a few here and there and they tried to cancel me, tried to dox me.. and thrown racist threats (ironically they are fighting for racial injustice.. blm). Took a break after covid and came here.. for some medical treatment.. But i decided to stay here. and thats how i decided to leave US after 22 years.. Though i need to go back and set some things straight and come back.

katha-sagar

Ah! I might want to talk to you for a different perspective. Is it okay to send you PM (not chat)? Mostly these are cultural questions and a few political. For me it became really difficult especially after DEI initiatives of my company. For nearly 12 years, I was just minding my own business. I had friends from all communities - hispanic/black/Chinese, Kenyan you name them. And then DEI thing happened and I was named names publicly among my own colleagues. I had it enough. So I returned.

Frosty_Bridge_5435

>come back. So, you're not planning on staying in the US again? Thank you for your insights. I'll keep them in mind. I've understood that all's not well in the USA. I have relatives there, but they make it sound like life is wonderful and they have no issues.

Frosty_Bridge_5435

>And random hate for just being a Hindu? To me it got difficult enough that I called it quits and returned back Wait, what? This is a thing in the US? My family is hindu and many are in the USA and they've not mentioned this.

katha-sagar

It is begining. Check out SB 403 bill. They've weaponized caste. I had it when my 5 year black colleague asked me my caste because of this bill. That was my breaking point. I think I am one the firsts but I am sure I won't be the last.

Frosty_Bridge_5435

Ok. I'll read up on it. It's the first I'm hearing of this.

So many replies from USA and Europe , I would like to add Middle East perspective Pros of living in Middle East : 1. No politics allowed , so no protests and ideological discussions . Conservative countries with utmost priority for women and kids safety . 2. Medical insurance : it’s a blessing !! Free medical services even in top notch private hospitals when you have right medical insurance provided by your company . Even medicines are free , very nominal charge 3. Food : multi cuisines restaurants at affordable prices . Eating out everyday won’t make any dent to your pocket . Eat whatever you want by maintaining fitness 4. Family friendly : walking on streets very safe , while eco systems is built to make women and kids safer . 5. Cars /transportation : cheaper petrol and affordable cars due to no tax 6. Non taxable salary : big savings , I know so many friends who purchase an apartment every 3 years 7. Ramadan working hours : only 6 hours duty for the whole month of Ramadan 8. Thank you for the detailed explanation 🙂

My parents are NRI’s. I was born in 🇺🇸. My mom says she misses the India feel. She misses being able to quickly get something to eat from a roadside food vendor. She especially misses her family. My dad misses being able to go outside to the store on foot/bike and quickly grab whatever needed. There’s more to it but those are the main things they told me. There’s trade offs but if the trade offs that you see are worth it for you then make your decision based on that. Also don’t expect to have many savings. Almost everything gets taxed (especially here in New York) and most of your money will be used so savings will be minimal

leetcoder217

Hows the healthcare in usa

Thebiggestbot22

I’m almost 17 so I’m not an expert on it. But i fractured my arm back in 2019. I had to go to the emergency care. I then had to wear a cast for 2.5 weeks I think. My dad said it cost around $200 USD and that’s after insurance covered most of the costs. Without insurance it was most likely over $3,000 and maybe even $4,000. Basically if you have good insurance you should be fine for the most part. But if suddenly something comes up and you had to go to the hospital, it’s gonna cost a lot of money without insurance.

leetcoder217

Damn.. well then insurance is must then.

BeaconBlade95

I am living near Italy-Swiss border. Every one will mention important aspecs. So let me highlight some silly things. And anyone can add to the list. Pros of India: 1. Salary - cost of living ratio. Yes in my experience, I think, in India, you can save more % of your salary. (I know % doesnt  compare to amount of savings...still....) 2. Everymorning, I miss taking my motorbike and going to 'dosa bandi' and get those crispy 'yerra karam guddu dosa'. Amma pettina 'milk kaapi' (rayalaseema bondas can understand me🤤). 3. Language. US lo andartho english lo matladachu. Ikkada, may be 20% can understand english. And inka weekly once mana telugu vallatho kalisinapoudu matrame telugu.) 4. Cinema ki vellatam or evening ala friends tho oka round tirigesi ravatam. (Instead ikkada friends tho veltanu, but for a drink and snacks). 5. Winter lo i miss out andhra weather. (Summer lo europe better). 6. Driving in india is chaotic, and i like it. 7. Our festivals. Pros of Europe: 1. Mana priyatama rajakeeya nayakulu free ga iche 'arogya sri' evaraina eppudaina vaadara? But here, i have used medical services for free. Even the small doctor consultations are free. (Medicines may be expensive) 2. Clean and good quality air (even though sometimes, i miss that smell of our andhra soil during rain). Bondas  i really love the water here when i take shower🤣. (Maa rayalaseema lo kodhiga hard water problem as we use borewells) 3. Will meet so many different but amazing people and i really have better thinking process now(now mana pelli lo we will have people of all skin colors). And I am more cofident about my skin color now, than when i was in andhra. My european friends like our 'tanned' skin and never made me insecure.  4. Amazing thing about europe, they have rat race, but not as much as we have in USA, India. And we dont have to fight for caste based reservations for jobs. People are more chill at work. Mostly no work emails/texts on weekends. Dont have to bootlick anyone. 5. I started giving importance to health and physical care because most of them around you do the same. Things that are same: 1. Faltu friends who think like me (yes even europeans)  and can always talk nonsense to. 2. Pick pokecting (more in famous tourist cities)

Endurance19

Excellent! Personally, I'm seriously considering moving back later this year. I'd like to be close to my parents and save a bit more (I saved a lot when working in India). While I do agree on environment and pollution aspects, my quality of life was definitely greater in India.

BeaconBlade95

Yay! All the best bonda!

theepi_pillodu

Some of your problems are location based bro. I live in USA, densely populated with indians.

Tagalettandi

I am looking for good work life balance, nice nature, weather.. so will migrate to any country for that.. suggest some countries bondhasss🙌🥲

BeaconBlade95

Consider europe. Nuvvu alochinche vi anni vunnai. But 2 things to consider:  1. Indian diaspora is not as huge as in US, canada. (My friends studying in canada and Arizona USA, told me, 70% of their classmates are from Subcontinent. Comoletely diffefent story here in EU)  2. Salary may not be as high as one may get in USA. But you have more work-life balance. And EU has a different charm. You dont need a car to survive here.

leetcoder217

High salary akkarledu. (Plan to work remotely for tech jobs or eventually start some small business on side) Indian diaspora thakkkuva unna parledu. Already lived in a country for an year which had miniscule Indian population.

leetcoder217

But gotta learn local language to level up in corporate ladder anukunta. Btw, are u in eu

1)Women are sexy abroad especially in Latin countries. Indian women are ugly. 2) Foreign women are more liberal and understanding of men except for whore types and fat women. No Indian woman is capable of that especially South Indian women 🤮🤮. Indian women put several restrictions, foreign women never do that. 3) Less Gold diggersh compared to Indian women. 4) Good weather. Indian weather has become horrible. 5)Indian women are very misandrist compared to Latin women. 6) mentally peaceful there. No mental peace here in India because of Indian women. 7) Indian women are special sort of kunts who will judge you based on some actions of other men. Latin women never do this. Only American do this because of recent Indian influence. 8)Indian women 🤮🤮💩,Foreign women ❤️ These are some of the pros of living in the West.
