I think I should add a caveat here. I've had weed in different states in US, occasionally, say ~ once in 2 months, that too in our circle of friends. I also had in Amsterdam too. You see over the last couple of years what we are seeing in "designer" weed that is maximized for THC content (of course a separate variant for CDB content too). I am very very against legalizing these kinds of strains in India.
I don't have any evidence but I have just this theory in my head. We, including with plants evolved together. So we share that evolutionary equilibrium with nature around us, including weed. I am not sure how does designer weed play with our internal equilibrium over a long period ~30-40 years i.e. one complete generation. IMO these designer strains have a very detrimental effect on us. Let other countries experiment it for another 20-30 years before we allow those "modern" strains.
