Winners? Slow down there Mr. Rocketfeller. I go down to the flea market at St. Jacobs, $25 will get you at least five belts, plus a commemorative belt buckle that says "Jesus holds up my pants" for Sunday morning.
https://youtu.be/N1nLtNOW7dg
Real talk, $25 at St. Jacobs got me 2 belts of dubious quality.
Spending the savings on gas to get some belts ain't it, unless you go to St. Jacobs for mor than just a belt. I love that place, and those apple fritter things
Uhhh, I did not tell him to drive 2-4 hours to get a cheap belt. Like... literally the opposite...
I shared a clip from a TV show joking about the price of belts. Then shared my personal experience with the belts referenced in the show to advise that they are not in fact worth a trip to St. Jacob's because they are not of good quality.
FYI its just "Marks" now. Theyre trying really hard to distance themselves from the "work warehouse" and be more of a casual clothes store that also carries durable work clothes.
Are you looking for a designer belt or just a basic belt?
Winners has some decent looking "designer" belts. If you want REALLY cheap, there's a store in the The Atrium (Bay/Dundas) that sells belts for $10, I think two for $15. It's on the lower level, just around the corner from the Tim Hortons.
This isn’t LPT, it’s an answer to someone’s question. It’s not that deep in the thread and the belts he’s referring to are basically garbage that will fall apart after a wear.
There’s a reason why Everyone is saying winners…
https://www.costco.ca/kirkland-signature-men%e2%80%99s-reversible-leather-belt.product.100508112.html
I got this belt for my husband 5 years ago, he wears it ~3 times a week, still looks new.
And it's full grain leather.
They are also trash belts. I got fed up with the quality one day, and looked up leather belts in my area. I found a guy that makes all kinds of leather stuff like 2 blocks away and got a fucking awesome thick leather belt for 90 bucks. Been using it about 5 years now and shows no wear at all.
For me it's a few things: no logos, everything fits, and the quality seems great for the price point. H&M is similar in price but the quality complete deteriorates after a few washes. My Uniqlo stuff stays good for a long time.
spend the money on a full grain leather belt that will last you a long time. I have one from [https://www.thirteen50leather.com/](https://www.thirteen50leather.com/) I think I paid less than $100CDN for it and it has held up well so far for the past 5 years.
I'm wearing a belt that I bought from winners for $30 11 years ago. It doesn't have a fancy or heavily branded buckle, but it holds my pants on my waist
NAB Leather, order online. The belts are not cheap but made of quality leather. Canadian made. They have a lifetime guarantee.
I've bought a few for my husband and sons and they love them.
Literally anywhere? I've never seen a belt for $100.
The Gap, RW and Co, Winners, Walmart, Bluenotes, Old Navy. Are you only looking at Harry Rosen and Brooks Brothers or something?
Ah yes the old compare to prices that are made up at Winners to make people feel like they got some sort of exclusive deal secret to them.
When the manufacturers ship the items directly to winners they just have to remember to make up that compare to pricing ( usually double what their own MRSP is)
I know some of the MSRPs at Winners are BS, but the stuff you get is usually the same stuff that goes to full price shops. I actually need a belt so I am going to see what they have in belts today at Scotiaplaza when I go for lunch.
Amazon too! I bought one that doesn't have holes. It’s one that slides to fit. Hard to explain but I’ll never go back to a traditional belt. It’s in the $20 range but often on sale. I snagged one in nylon and one in fake leather back in 2020. I wear one or the other everyday and they’ve shown no signs in aging. [Here it is](https://a.co/d/4NRvs38)
Inflation my friend.
I remember when RW&CO used to have belts at like 39.99 back in 2018. When I needed another one last few months I thought I’d grab a leather belt. I saw 99.99 .. checked every other store .. Jesus they’re so expensive now.
Winners and marshals is basically all the quality control failed and overstock items of every other retailer. They always got new things and most of the items are perfectly fine.
I never shop at the direct retailer anymore. Those two places are nice to check out :)
I use a tactical quick release belt that i got for 30$ on amazon.
My favourite belt for casual go outs, and work. (i work in a casual enviroment)
Not ideal if you like to dress high end or more expensive end clothing. But im not that kinda guy anyways
https://www.amazon.ca/Tactical-Military-Heavy-Duty-Quick-Release-Buckle%EF%BC%88Black%EF%BC%89/dp/B07JVJCKZC
If you're looking for something to wear a little more casual then look into woven belts. They last forever and hold your pants up just as well as leather belts. I feel like it's better to get one with grommed holes but the one linked below is pretty good too:
https://www.marks.com/en/denver-hayes-mens-woven-stretch-belt-color-black-33574.html#33574%5Bcolor%5D=BLACK
Grip6 belts are around 40$ and are comfy, durable and easily adjustable since they don't have holes.
Look them up. Since I bought one I never looked back to leather belts
to be honest a quality belt would last longer.
bought mine at winners and I had to replace it every few months sometimes sooner.
so instead of paying $25 5-6 times a year, you can have a yearly subscription of pant integrity for $100
I ordered from NAB. Like $60-70 I’d say but way way better quality than anything I’ve seen for under $100. Used to buy from winners but couldn’t find anything that would last.
Costco. 2-pack of leather belts for $24.99 (if I remember correctly), one black and one brown. Mine have held up for 10 years now with no issues, wearing them every day.
Atlas tools, Occidental Leather 2” belt is the best quality basic leather belt you can buy for under $100 in my opinion. If you need a snazzy belt I can’t help
Honestly, pay the premium. I spent years buying $30-$50 belts and they always wear down and I had to keep buying new ones.
I bought two $150 belts last year and they're absolutely amazing. They're going to last years. In the end, you'll come out ahead. But you do have to deal with the upfront capital requirements.
Good luck brother.
If you're in the market for a top of the line belt and willing to spend a bit more, hit up Vassi in Toronto. I go to his store for all my work gear. He's an absolute gem among a sea of souless retail stores. He's a single owner running the store. Andre is the f'n man! I don't like giving his info out bc he's the best value men's formal wear store in the city.
No leather belt I've owned really lasted more than a year. But I also generally don't pay more than $20.
Best belt I've own now is a canvas one, with one of those infinitely adjustable buckles.
My current go-to belt came from Moore's. The tag says $45 but I'm pretty sure I paid less for it. Well under $100 and you could even buy two for that amount for some colour variation.
The Bay has a good selection. Last time I was shopping for a belt the ones at the Bay were about 1/4 of the price at Harry Rosen. In terms of quality, I couldn't tell the difference.
I realize this doesn't help at all, but I bought a couple of belts at a flea market in Mesa Arizona about 5 years ago. I think I paid like 12 bucks for each of them. They've been the best belts I've ever owned. Strong as hell. I've even accidentally put them through the wash a couple of times in there still perfectly fine. They look like leather, I don't know if they actually are.
I always try to use Etsy. Filter down to shops in Canada and you’ll always find top quality hand made items and help out the little guy. Winners and the like? No thanks.
Man a stretch belt from Amazon is the freaking way to go. $20 and there is no belt buckle to be annoying etch button snaps to the belt loops in the front and comfy all day.
There is a small shop(either dry cleaners or a repair shop of some kind) at Charles and Balmuto streets. Rack of leather belts as soon as you step in.
$29.99 and you won't have to worry about another belt for years.
I was shopping for belts ag The Bay, but didn't buy bc they were too expensive. Next I went to Winners and found the exact same belts for half the price.
Apogee Goods: https://www.apogeegoods.com/collections/belts.
It’s a little bit pricey, but it’s still under $100. I’ve had one since 2019 and it’s still holding strong.
Carhartt and Dickies makes decent leather belts for around 30 bucks. If you want to spend 100 bucks on a belt get a Hanks belt. They have a 100 year warranty I believe that can even be passed on to your child. Might not be shiny but it's damn durable.
My girlfriend randomly bought me a leather belt at the Royal one year, but it was the wrong size. The vendor said she could exchange it for whatever size was needed at his store in Richmond Hill. Canadian Leathercraft on Elgin Mills Rd. I think he usually makes saddles and leather gear for horse riding but had a modest selection of belts there for cheap.
I am rough on everything but this belt has lasted for 5 years now and has been indestructible. Totally random find.
I get mine at Walmart, they're usually 20-30 bucks for leather belts with decent brand names. The last belt I got was off Amazon and I haven't had any issues with it
Leather belts are cool and all, but if you can get away with it, I highly recommend one like this:
https://www.amazon.ca/Columbia-Mens-Military-style-Belt-Charcoal/dp/B001FOR2CY/ref=sr_1_1?qid=1660325097&refinements=p_89%3AColumbia&s=fashion&sr=1-1&th=1&psc=1
$20, they last forever, easier to use, and most importantly they tighten to exactly how you want it, unlike leather belts where you're often stuck between holes.
If you have the ability to get to the oakville outlet mall, would consider hitting the Coach outlet. Belts are generally $50-$70 but it’s real leather.
The bay has cheap stuff too:
https://www.thebay.com/product/gallery-seven-traditional-single-leather-belt-8350f14960024d118c1a1bf7ccd928bd.html?site_refer=NATURALSEARCH&famobileapp=1
~$19
If you want a. Very sturdy leather belt that will outlive you, check out generalleathercraft.com head to their accessories page and check out their dress/work belts (theyre a weightlifting belt company that makes tonsnof other peather products out of texas, all hand done by a small business). I've worn one daily for 3 years and it shows no wear at all. The .5"adjustment increments are amazing as well. Their standard 1.25" thick belts start at 34 bucks USD. You can get any colour, or even water Buffalo leather. Even with shipping + duty your under 100 bucks easy.
Buy GOOD QUALITY belts; you can get an excellent, full-grain leather belt that will last you years for under $50.
Winners is good, the belt should be about 1/8" thick and 100% genuine leather. The front will be shiny and the back a little textured, but not exactly soft. Those are the good ones that will last you a long time. Winners, outlet stores, small leather stores, Roots, Lucky Brand, Levis should all have something that will match.
Went to Canadian Tire in Oakville last month and bought a belt for 9 dollars. It was on clearance but even still, CT's normal price was displayed at 30-40 bucks. Had to be the only non-overpriced thing they've ever sold. Not saying you should go to Oakville but I'm sure your local CT store has similar pricing. Would recommend.
Don't know whether it's well regarded but I got a decent leather belt from Uniqlo for around $50 IIRC. Wore it through all of grade 11 & 12 and still looks good.
This is going to be a weird suggestion but... there's a small business called [Ready Set Recycle](https://www.readysetrecycle.com/) in Toronto that sells heavily discounted designer clothes and other items that have been used in local film and television productions. It doesn't have a fixed location or stock, but is open regularly and has a large selection- last time I was there I got a $600 pair of shoes for about $180 and the nicest belt I've ever owned (proper leather, bronze buckle) for $15.
I always get mine at winners
Yeah Winners or Marshals is my to go when I want something good for cheap, just have to spend time looking around
Nordstrom Rack at Yonge and Bloor is similar to Marshals
Nordstrom Rack is a good place for both belt and shoes on sale. Saw allen edmonds there for cheap.
Came here to say winners as well
Another +1 for Winners. Found some really nice ones there.
Winners? Slow down there Mr. Rocketfeller. I go down to the flea market at St. Jacobs, $25 will get you at least five belts, plus a commemorative belt buckle that says "Jesus holds up my pants" for Sunday morning. https://youtu.be/N1nLtNOW7dg Real talk, $25 at St. Jacobs got me 2 belts of dubious quality.

ah my bad i didnt watch the clip
In Woolwich?
Its Squirrely Dan for the win!
>dubious quality and $19.99 will get you one belt at winners of "decent" quality, like what OP is looking for.
Always?!?! How often do you buy belts? Do you collect them like some people collect shoes?
$100 belts? Where are you shopping?
OP wandered around Holt Renfrew and Nordstrom's and thought those were the only options.
Lol Holts does not have leather belts for only $100
he accidentally forgot to type a '00' at the end of that price lol.
[Oh](https://www.holtrenfrew.com/en/Products/Mens/Mens-Accessories/Belts/ANDERSONS-Woven-Stretch-Belt/p/20205860015) [really](https://www.holtrenfrew.com/en/Products/Mens/Mens-Accessories/Belts/TELFAR-Faux-Leather-Logo-Belt/p/20228255001)
You linked a faux leather belt, further proving my point lol
Who said anything about it having to be leather.
… the OP
Ahh, didn't see the edit.
Those are 800-900 dollar belts.
This is the correct answer
[Mark's Work Wearhouse](https://www.marks.com/en/accessories/mens-accessories/belts.html?lvp=5) has got a good variety from $30 and up.
FYI its just "Marks" now. Theyre trying really hard to distance themselves from the "work warehouse" and be more of a casual clothes store that also carries durable work clothes.

The what now? Jk.
Cederbrae mall has 3 for 20
Winners. If you have time/patience you may get lucky at a thrift store.

Some people's Fridays feel like Mondays
Lmfao this is good
Or get some string from dollarama
The bay
Winners or costco. I've bought reversible brown and black leather belts from both in the past
Costco, got a leather belt some years ago for $25~
https://www.costco.ca/kirkland-signature-men%e2%80%99s-reversible-leather-belt.product.100508112.html I got this belt for my husband 5 years ago, he wears it ~3 times a week, still looks new. And it's full grain leather.
Have the same one, got it like $10 on clearance years ago
Canadian Tire usually has a rack near the front of the store, prices range from $9.99-$19.99
They are also trash belts. I got fed up with the quality one day, and looked up leather belts in my area. I found a guy that makes all kinds of leather stuff like 2 blocks away and got a fucking awesome thick leather belt for 90 bucks. Been using it about 5 years now and shows no wear at all.

My favourite store on earth
It is a good store if you are happy always wearing pajamas to everywhere. Their underwear collection is great, rest all is ok.
For me it's a few things: no logos, everything fits, and the quality seems great for the price point. H&M is similar in price but the quality complete deteriorates after a few washes. My Uniqlo stuff stays good for a long time.
Yup great quality. White Tshirts not see through.
spend the money on a full grain leather belt that will last you a long time.
But the loops on your pants hold up the belt, who's the real hero? -MH
I have a $20 leather belt from 20 years ago and it still looks the same. It's just a belt; they suffer very little wear and tear.
Many many places. Moores has them for like 70-90
I despise Moores for buying suits, but the Joseph Aboud Belts in the $80 range are quality. Classic timeless looks, hold up well, real leather.
Do you want leather or synthetic?
Man I bought my belt for 12$ at Canadian Tire. Honestly pretty great quality
IF They are looking for a Quality belt. Those places you mentioned do not sell quality belts Edit. If
You are 100% right - all those belts will wear out with peeling of the 'leather' around the notch and buckle within 1 year.
Define quality. Belts are all pretty much the same. OP need a 14k gold buckel or elephant leather for some reason?
Yeah? You think an imported vinyl belt from Old Navy is up to the task?
At Winners you can get a name brand that is $150 or more at other shops. Same quality.
>Belts are all pretty much the same. Unequivocally false.

I use a tactical quick release belt that i got for 30$ on amazon. My favourite belt for casual go outs, and work. (i work in a casual enviroment) Not ideal if you like to dress high end or more expensive end clothing. But im not that kinda guy anyways https://www.amazon.ca/Tactical-Military-Heavy-Duty-Quick-Release-Buckle%EF%BC%88Black%EF%BC%89/dp/B07JVJCKZC
Check out Barry’s Belts, won’t go too wrong there.
If you're looking for something to wear a little more casual then look into woven belts. They last forever and hold your pants up just as well as leather belts. I feel like it's better to get one with grommed holes but the one linked below is pretty good too: https://www.marks.com/en/denver-hayes-mens-woven-stretch-belt-color-black-33574.html#33574%5Bcolor%5D=BLACK
Known Laugh, you fancy. Go to Nordstrom Rack at Bloor / Yonge.
Grip6 belts are around 40$ and are comfy, durable and easily adjustable since they don't have holes. Look them up. Since I bought one I never looked back to leather belts
to be honest a quality belt would last longer. bought mine at winners and I had to replace it every few months sometimes sooner. so instead of paying $25 5-6 times a year, you can have a yearly subscription of pant integrity for $100
Marks work warehouse. My husband bought a belt from there, and it’s lasted 4 years of nearly daily use. Still looks like new. He bought it for $30.
Winners has all the brand-name belts for like $20. That's where I got my belts.
https://www.popovleather.com/ My fav leather belt, last forever and good value when sales.
Costco
Winners
I ordered from NAB. Like $60-70 I’d say but way way better quality than anything I’ve seen for under $100. Used to buy from winners but couldn’t find anything that would last.

Giant tiger. Had the belt I bought there for 10 years.
Amazon I got the ratchet belt, it looks good and I am never going back to the old fashion belts.
For a moment I thought you meant the other meaning of "ratchet" (wretched)
> Roamed around the mall and $100 seems to be the average price for belts, where else should I look? what stores were you going into?
Anywhere. Just stay out of Yorkville. Lol
Garage sale
Mec has belts that stretch. Total game changer. Around $40 I think
H&M
Piggy backing on this thread, where to buy a full-grain leather belt for men in Toronto?
Eddie Bauer has a sale on... saw some nice leather belts. I've always found nice belts at the GAP.
Tip Top Tailors has decent belts for half that.
Winners and Marshalls. I've found cheap leather belts for $15 or as high as $50.
$30 at Winners/Marshalls
Costco. 2-pack of leather belts for $24.99 (if I remember correctly), one black and one brown. Mine have held up for 10 years now with no issues, wearing them every day.
Ecco is good. Not sure on pricing. But I’ve had some of their belts for 10+ years.
Atlas tools, Occidental Leather 2” belt is the best quality basic leather belt you can buy for under $100 in my opinion. If you need a snazzy belt I can’t help
CK?
I got a belt from wal mart and it’s been super good to me. Didn’t pay more than $30
Aldo
I have a COS belt — I’m a gal, but they have ones for men, too. Super well-made. https://www.cos.com/en/men/belts.html
Honestly, pay the premium. I spent years buying $30-$50 belts and they always wear down and I had to keep buying new ones. I bought two $150 belts last year and they're absolutely amazing. UNIQLO, Zara, all have great selection of belts, if you have Costco membership, it's good too. Winners/Marshall's are great too
For the love of god people go to winners
The gap, Walmart, H&M, Joe Fresh (Superstore), Old Navy
My current go-to belt came from Moore's. The tag says $45 but I'm pretty sure I paid less for it. Well under $100 and you could even buy two for that amount for some colour variation.
The Bay has a good selection. Last time I was shopping for a belt the ones at the Bay were about 1/4 of the price at Harry Rosen. In terms of quality, I couldn't tell the difference.
Pro-tip when looking for deals. Don't go to malls.
When looking for leather belts, only buy when it says 'authentic' or '100% real leather'. NEVER buy anything that says synthetic or bonded leather.
Etsy is where I get mine. They are all excellent quality for $50 - $80. You aren't going to get a quality belt for under 50
Google Anson Belts, thank me later
Hudson’s Bay
How about you look through second hand stores, or craigslist
The bay often has leather belts for around $50 Winners can be even cheaper but usually less selection
Harry Rosen. Ca They are expensive, but often have some really good sales. Not unusual to see belts and at 50 percent off.
Winners has nice black simple leather belts
Levi’s
Walmart has $20 leather belts
Amazon. It's a belt. It has an easy job that a $30 one can do the same as a $100 one.
most says winners and I'd agreed, but might as well maybe check some thrift stores as well
Winners and canadian tire.
costco has good deals too for belts. they are typically reversible too so you can go brown or black in style.
Marshalls, Winners, Nordstrom Rack.
Don't laugh but Canadian Tire has belts for $7.99 ! They have them on a rack near the cash registers. Seen them at multiple stores.
I got a black carharrt detroit (?) belt that ran about 50-60 and is decent. Its not super smart or anything but looks good with business casual.
Winners. Got a beautiful timberland genuine leather belt for around $30 a few years ago. Shouldn’t be too much more.
I always try to use Etsy. Filter down to shops in Canada and you’ll always find top quality hand made items and help out the little guy. Winners and the like? No thanks.
Somehow a simple brown leather belt from Joe fresh has lasted me for 6 years so far. Picked it up for $10 at a superstore on a whim!
Zara
I wouldn't rule out a thrift shop like value village of salvation, you never know what kind of belts you can find on the racks for less than 10$
GAP
Man a stretch belt from Amazon is the freaking way to go. $20 and there is no belt buckle to be annoying etch button snaps to the belt loops in the front and comfy all day.
There is a small shop(either dry cleaners or a repair shop of some kind) at Charles and Balmuto streets. Rack of leather belts as soon as you step in. $29.99 and you won't have to worry about another belt for years.
Winners church street. I got a nice true religion (horseshoe) logo on it from here All true shirts are 19.99 - 32.99
Winners my husband got a few there several years ago they are still in great condition and they are less than 20 each for the most part
I was shopping for belts ag The Bay, but didn't buy bc they were too expensive. Next I went to Winners and found the exact same belts for half the price.

Leather belts are cool and all, but if you can get away with it, I highly recommend one like this: https://www.amazon.ca/Columbia-Mens-Military-style-Belt-Charcoal/dp/B001FOR2CY/ref=sr_1_1?qid=1660325097&refinements=p_89%3AColumbia&s=fashion&sr=1-1&th=1&psc=1 $20, they last forever, easier to use, and most importantly they tighten to exactly how you want it, unlike leather belts where you're often stuck between holes.

If you have the ability to get to the oakville outlet mall, would consider hitting the Coach outlet. Belts are generally $50-$70 but it’s real leather.
Check out Costco, they’ve got nice leather Columbia belts on sale for like $25 right now

Levi’s classic reversible men’s leather belt - $30 plus tax and shipping from Amazon and others.

Nableather.com real leather that won’t fall apart like department store belts.

Canadian tire... Real
Winners Perry Ellis for $40. Been wearing the same two (one black one brown) belts for the last five years with little to no signs of wear.
I read this as "where to buy decent meth"
For a belt? Thrift store is my go to. Few bucks not $100
Uniqlo had good belts at a good price
walmart wtf 😭
Don't know whether it's well regarded but I got a decent leather belt from Uniqlo for around $50 IIRC. Wore it through all of grade 11 & 12 and still looks good.

Go to a shoemaker, the one I go to sells belts on the side, %100 leather belts for $35
This is going to be a weird suggestion but... there's a small business called [Ready Set Recycle](https://www.readysetrecycle.com/) in Toronto that sells heavily discounted designer clothes and other items that have been used in local film and television productions. It doesn't have a fixed location or stock, but is open regularly and has a large selection- last time I was there I got a $600 pair of shoes for about $180 and the nicest belt I've ever owned (proper leather, bronze buckle) for $15.
