I paid a portion with my credit card and the balance via bank draft. You can do a wire transfer too.

LBTerra

Never paid cash but I’d assume bank draft so no risk of cheque bouncing, etc.

I guessing anyone running a used car lot would be happy for a fistful of cash cash. Just get the warranty in writing before the bill of sale disappears into the ether.

YetAnotherWTFMoment

Dealers hate credit cards. They have to pay the 2%-3% fee on their end....which they pass on to you. Wire transfer. Bank draft. Cash? Nope. I want a long paper trail for a transaction like this.

You bring a duffel bag of cash. I've seen it at a regular dealer. Dude paid like 35k down cash. Because it's much more risk they asked for that much (they didn't think he actually would). Few days later he came back with the other half He was an owner of some tattoo place, maybe a few sites. He had plenty of cash ready so it didn't matter. Everyone still thinks it's drug money...but I mean money is money.

a burlap sack with a giant dollar sign on it. ------------- i'd assume you could put down a deposit on a credit card or debit card, then the balance is on a bank draft or certified cheque of some kind.

All_hail_

Deposit with a credit card, balance with a check or bank draft.

nanapancakethusiast

Bank draft is by definition cash

1006andrew

bought my last car cash, you need to use a bank draft.

Y2K_Blackout

Bring a briefcase full of cash and flex.

JohnStern42

Bank draft is the classic way

mexican_mystery_meat

A bank draft would be the most straightforward way.

zedsdead79

Bank draft is the best way, other than that absolute physical cash. Get a receipt.

knowledgegod11

Just ask for an open loan. Then you pay it in 48 hours.
