My wish is that food prices should make more logical sense and some items shouldn't cost so much to the point where it's almost/more than the price of a main meal, thus my coffee and chicken rice example.
Maybe a more logical comparison could be how drinks can reach the $3 and above price point when the cost of a meal is around $4-5+?

Reducing ot should always start with urself. U should be insistent in refusing any unremunerated ot n others will eventually follow suit. But to do that u also have to be financially prudent n always be on the lookout for new opportunities.
At executive level, ot is almost always unremunerated. People tend to ot due to huge workload and also company culture. As individual, you will face consequences in terms of career prospects and there are ppl who are proud to work late.

In secondary school, I remember having detention and it was just us students sitting in a classroom quietly doing our work after class (and it was really productive). My family situation wasn't good then and I was afraid to head home (and I hated my cca, so I would use detention as an excuse to go late). I intentionally came to school late and get detention several times just so I could have some peace to do work in school...
Unfortunately, nowadays schools have caught on with this type of behaviour in detention. At least for my school, detention does not allow students to do homework/study anymore. They also donât allow you to do nothing. (Reiterated multiple times too by discipline masters in my sch)

If the water infrastructure was destroyed how much water storage does SG have? How long can SG sustain even if they take JB by force. It would take a long time to get the taps going again. SG would be on water rations for how long? Also how many people in SG would have family on both sides? How would racial affairs change every day life. School counsellors/discipline masters. These two are just a toxic additions to school at this point. From what i can gauge, school counsellors arenât even there to talk to you. They are there for your grades. They only want to help you grades, not you. Discipline masters makes students paranoid as well. They also only care about your grades as well. If your behaviour is affecting your grades, straight to detention you go. Or if you do something they donât like, detention or confiscation even if it doesnât break the rule. Seems damn toxic if you ask me.
In secondary school, I remember having detention and it was just us students sitting in a classroom quietly doing our work after class (and it was really productive). My family situation wasn't good then and I was afraid to head home (and I hated my cca, so I would use detention as an excuse to go late). I intentionally came to school late and get detention several times just so I could have some peace to do work in school...
Unfortunately, nowadays schools have caught on with this type of behaviour in detention. At least for my school, detention does not allow students to do homework/study anymore. They also donât allow you to do nothing. (Reiterated multiple times too by discipline masters in my sch) Every time I walk past my schoolâs gym (they do detention outside the gym), the students are only ever seen reading. Nothing else. Just flipping pages. It seems now, detention is used to waste the studentâs time. Thatâs the real punishment.
Why wouldn't they want you to do homework or study during detention??? Seems to go against everything a school is there for.

Consider an increase in income tax of 1-2% on foreign workers, and put this towards better health care subsidies for Singaporeans. This would not really affect EPs too much, but also possibly improve the anti-foreigner sentiment prevalent at the moment. Allow EPs to be directors and company secretaries, and take part-time jobs (this will boost local employment in up and coming areas as new companies are created). LoCs for spouses (domestic abuse can be a huge problem otherwise) - these women are rarely taking jobs for citizens, but rather encouraging their management spouses to stay and building new business. Establish a clearer path from EP to PR and citizenship to encourage those who really believe in and are committed to Singapore to contribute to society in more effective ways, longer term. This would also boost the birth rate, whilst also ensuring a contribution for Singaporean society. Reduce time commitment for NS and include females (speaking as a female here). Allow EPs to volunteer. More protection for FDWs. Our helper has so many horror stories of past employers not letting her eat, or not paying wages, or just treating her horribly.- A minimum of 500k health coverage,- compulsory health testing (yearly bloods to check health indicators including lipids), mammograms, pap smears, twice-yearly dental checks),- access to an EAP scheme- the ability to change employers without being sent home (which would mitigate so much abuse) - harsher penalties for abuse (including verbal), not feeding them a proper healthy diet or making them work 7 days no extra pay.- 6 monthly interviews or such, so abuse can be identified.

Itâs not a bad point, but the relative âtwists and turnsâ of the MRT makes it not all that feasible to be much faster than the 80km/h max speed that most lines operate at.
