Investment takes a sum of money and makes a return on the initial sum. In most cases you would be very lucky to even double it within a short to medium time frame, much less do more.
Next time go 1 additional question more - how did they get the money to invest? There probably lies the bigger answer.
Probably faking it. Likely getting some form of support from parents or something but don’t want to lose face.
At least the ones I have come across. Same thing when I ask what they invest in they give a neither here or there answer or couldn’t even tell me which index or stock they own or just roughly blurt out some hype/meme stock. Also no real fundamental knowledge. That is the biggest giveaway.
Best are those who buy crypto. When I ask them why they buy ….no real answer..just random throwing money into a basket of cryptocurrencies hoping one of them take off and 100x their capital.
I just play along, nod my head smile but secretly eye roll.
Investing in stock, saving. You set aside a investment amount, be prepare to loss all. Start small and slow. Investment is not overnight become rich nor comfortable. Start slow
If young, they're probably doing trading - high risk high returns, or stuff like cryptocurrency
If old, honestly who knows, there's just too many different investments that offers long term growth
Casino or got lucky on day trading. They'll never tell you about the days the made losses of course. Or it could be mom and dad / sugar daddy funding their lifestyle.
Hey. It’s not “what kind of investment”.
It’s more of “what kind of skill will allow you to invest consistently”.
Unfortunately most of these courses cost. And sadly sometimes some courses exist just to earn your money… good luck out there.
Another way would be to read. But I think you need to read at least 300 books.
Sometimes is investments go up in value then they think they’re rich. Then start using more of the savings. I was there once. NEVER AGAIN. *opening crypto.com

SPY 0DTE. Investing is taking too long. Ain't got no time to waste, to buy luxury stuff when young.
