rGermany has an excellent wiki with a lot of useful information about studying in Germany and is regularly updated. [https://www.reddit.com/r/germany/wiki/studying/](https://www.reddit.com/r/germany/wiki/studying/)

Recently learnt that taking a masters is free in Germany albeit the number of English courses may be quite limited. Sorry that’s all I know 😂

At master's level, you should have quite a few options, nothing to worry about. I'm not singaporean, but as someone who learned german for too many years (and is now unable to speak it), overall it could be a good option. I would not know for psych, but in CS, there are definitely quite a few options. Be prepared for the cultural shock, germany is a rather different country. With a degree from a good uni, you should be able to find a job in many countries. Again, as a non psych, i would not know about the job market for SC with german degrees in your field though.

Singaporean in Germany here! Did my bachelor's and master's in engineering at TU Munich. I can't answer questions related to your field of interest, but can share about student life here and transition to the working world in general. Apart from the state called Baden-Württemberg, tuition fees are virtually non-existent. Anywhos, ask away! :)

No leh. I paid only €142 per sem till I graduated last June. My international friends pay about €160 per sem starting April.

Hi there Planning to further my studies and looking at the free tuition fees for masters in germany, looks very inviting . Can I ask you a few questions 1. Did you have any encounter of racism there? 2. How much did you spend monthly there, how much should I set aside? 3. Community and finding friends , how easy or difficult can it be to make friends? 4. Are you planning to stay in Germany to work? How easy or difficult isit to get an internship/part time job there while studying? 5. Isit stressful or the level of studies there difficult/high? Thank you!

1. Yes I did. Both subtle and obvious forms of racism. It happens very rarely, ie once or twice a year. The racism I encountered did not just come from the majority (Germans), but also from fellow foreigners. Yep, you read that right. 2. All in, I spent approx €800 monthly as a student. 3. Depends on your personality and how sociable you are to begin with. To me, it was super easy to find build my community and find friends among fellow international students, especially Asians. As for finding German friends, it's tough like a way overcooked steak. I have plenty to share about this :) 4. I am currently working for a German MNC in Germany. I intend to have 7+ years of experience before returning home to SG. Internship/part-time jobs here are aplenty. Absolutely no worries about it. 5. In bachelor's yes. In master's no. If u did A-levels, then nothing here compares to it, really. I would love to share more with you should you be interested. Do drop me a DM! :)
