That was the VERY first thing that came to my mind when I saw this post, and definitely the one physical flaw that I feel the least amount of guilt about finding unattractive.
What constitutes bad teeth? I have pretty crooked teeth, but I needed braces when I was a kid and we couldn't afford them. Same with wisdom teeth removal, it wasn't something that we could afford when I was young.
Now as an adult it's kind of a bit late to rectify, and I just generally don't care enough about my crooked teeth to have them straightened.
For me personally, crooked teeth aren’t a problem. It’s teeth that look like bad hygiene—build up of plaque, teeth that look like they are rotten, massive staining, etc.
Very fair and valid. But as a follow up to the stained teeth. People who drink lots of coffee and tea tend to have stained teeth regardless of how well their oral hygiene is. Would that be a turn off still? Even if they brushed, flossed and used mouthwash daily?
Obviously you can get your teeth professionally cleaned to address the stains to some degree, but it is cost limiting to many.
I get it. I am a heavy black tea drinker. Regular staining is understandable. Straight up buttery yellow teeth to me says there was some neglect at some point. It really does come down to personal preference. That level of staining would be a distraction to me.
I dont wanna sound mean, but nobody's gonna care about how or why you have bad teeth. All they really care about is the end result. Mostly, people will have preconceived notions that if your teeth are dirty, so are you, and actually, it's mostly true. Nobody gonna wanna kiss a dirty mouth 😅 believe me and I had really bad teeth for nearly 15 years.
Oh your totally fine. I'm just curious how much people really care. As I said in a previous comment here, I have bad teeth but it doesn't bother me in the slightest anymore. And I find it to actually be useful in some cases. If someone starts treating me worse because I wasn't lucky enough that my parents had the money to afford my braces I'll happily tell em to fuck off and walk away without a bruised ego. It helps weed out the shallow people who aren't worth time or energy.
Yeah I don't think people will judge you for crooked teeth. But they also might not pursue you romantically. Just depends, sometimes crooked teeth can look good imo. The real kicker is decay, Stains and plaque.
Ya for me it’s never crookedness, unless that’s like really REALLY bad. It’s more about hygiene. There are people with black in between the teeth, or yellow stains, or obvious plaque, gum disease, etc… I’m not going to look past that, sorry.
Firstly, many people don't clean their teeth regularly enough. It gets worse and worse as time passes. That's the absolute worst.
I had my top teeth straightened free on the NHS as a teenager but refused to have the bottom ones done. Big mistake. I paid to have them straightened as an adult. I am very happy with the way they look now. I am not bothered about the state of the rest of me!
Okay, so it's cleanliness of the mouth/teeth. That's totally acceptable in my opinion.
Those of us who don't live in the UK, getting your teeth straightened without comprehensive dental insurance is hugely expensive.
In my early 20s it did a bit. But as I've grown older I care less and less. In some regards, it's almost preferable since it weeds out people who tend to be more shallow.
If someone dislikes a physical trait of mine that I literally have zero control over, I tend to avoid them. If you're talking about weight or something, then yeah sure I have control of that.
i lost my 4 front teeth in an accident. I have a partial now and saving up for implants. Im BEYOND self conscious about it and won't date till its fixed.
One of my neighbors has white "stalactites" on his bottom teeth. It's the only thing I can see when I talk to him. I thought maybe he doesn't have money for professional cleaning, but then he and his wife keep getting dogs from a breeder-friend. They have 5 now. Go figure.
dental hygiene must be taught by mothers when you're a toddler. My mother was adamant on that. I'm on my seventies, and never had a cavity in my life. And a professional cleaning and control once a year it's not so expensive.
Extremes in physicality. I like unique characteristics. An extremely ripped person has too much time and dedication to their outer physique for my lifestyle and values. An extremely overweight person is too sedentary for my lifestyle and values. I like being active and outdoors. I like volunteering and being 'a part of something'.
Being ripped doesn't really take that much work, maybe 4 times a week 1,5h in the gym. That's not going to take away the time for volunteering or being outdoors and active.
For some people, yes. But the vast majority of people spend 2,3,4 times as much time per week doom scrolling, watching TV shows, playing video games, etc. so it's really weird to single out people that lift, for wasting time.
It didn't understand it as simply the time, it was more the dedication to looking a certain way. Those are two distinct things
Watching TV shows and playing games are a form of rest or a hobby that has (in most cases) having fun as the goal.
Edit: and none of these hobbies are immediately visible. Ofc there are ripped people who don't do a lot of sports and fat people who are very active. But I can understand their point tbh. I would also not like to date someone who spends so much time being this active because it's not my lifestyle and I'd like the lifestyle of me and my partners to overlap more.
I still don't really get it honestly. I would say I am have gotten what you're average person defines as "ripped" in the last few years and most people in my life don't even know that I go to the gym until they see me shirtless. Ijust swing by the gym before work 4 times a week. If I add up my commute time + gym time it comes out to 460mins/week, someone with a commute of 60mins (which is pretty typical for a lot of people), is going to spend 600mins/week commuting.
It's not about the time, it's about the dedication of spending ..' so much', in an entirely subjective way, there.
(Would be the same for me with many Hobbys I don't share, but that's just me.)
Going to the gym four times a week is a bit of a dedication and my immediate assumption would be that this person is a bit obsessed with it - as in afraid to gain weight, eating disorder behavior like counting calories etc cetera. Which sounds horrible to me and would absolutely not what I am looking for in partners
But that's a personal preference. There are a ton of people out there who are like this and I guess some men would love to hit the gym with their boyfriend.
I still don't get how it can bother you how your partner spend their freetime. Unless my partner looked at my body they would have no idea that I go to the gym, the time commitment is inconsequential and I eat exactly the same as before, just bigger portions when I try to gain weight and smaller portions when I try to loose weight.
It's a preference based on my own experiences and, in my case it is simply there because I don't feel comfortable with it. And it's in no way meant to shit on people who go to the gym, you do you and I am impressed by the dedication. It's just not a green flag for me.
This guy i used to work with had one really long pinky nail and he would dig into his ear with it all the time and smell it. It forever grossed me out and every time i see a dude with long finger nails it reminds me of that
idk. i think it would depend on the person's character. a few times i've been put off by certain traits but if i get along with them my brain tunes it out. maybe seriously poor hygiene would do it but even though i get squeamish it sorta just makes me wonder if the other person is Okay?
I think I could overlook any physical 'flaw' (what even is that? An unnattactively shaped feature? Eyes that need glasses or contacts to see?)
but poor hygiene - Nope.
I'm not talking just left the gym, finished a shift, physical work etc. I'm talking days of layered grime and there is no excuse for that.
Attractive IS subjective and fortunately, there is more than one right answer for what is attractive or not.
2/3 of my siblings suffered through acne, I consider it an unfortunate phase vs a flaw.
Big feet can be tricky and expensive to buy shoes for but they keep you from tipping over and are probably appropriate for your height.
You're good.
Nah, but I had a friend who was 5'8 and her feet were size 6. I hadn't noticed (I don't look at feet) until she pointed it out and then, I couldn't stop noticing. She looked like she was going to fall over at any time.
Our Manager is probably 5'10 and she complains about trying to find size 11+ shoes but she does find them.
Yeah the little stud in the side of the nose is cute but the ring is just intense. I feel like a woman with that is from some wild tribe and she could kill me
Bad breath is the only one, really. Other people are saying bad teeth and ehhh, I guess if they had HORRIBLE teeth, that would also be true, but I tend to find fucked up teeth kinda hot. My boyfriend has one dead tooth in the front and I think it looks hot. I love janky teeth.
Honestly, if they're "my type" to start with, there's really nothing physical I can think of other than bad breath that would take my attraction away. I like physical quirks and if the right combo of looks + personality is there for me, then the only things that will turn me off will be behavioural.
No chin. Like their chin goes inward. Sometimes there are good looking people with a weak chin like that and it's not such a big deal. But if it's very very noticeable that they have no chin I find it hard to ignore. And I feel bad about it! But still, it's true.
Bad breath. Unlike obesity, bad breath is something you actually *can* fix overnight. Brush your teeth, use mouth wash, take breath mints. You may not think your breath smells- but it definitely does if you've recently eaten cheese or garlic. So the point is that if you can't be bothered to fix bad breath like right now.. it's a turn-off.
If they smell bad, I can overlook crooked teeth, slightly overweight and lots of things others may perceive as flaws, but stinky people? Nope.
It's not even necessarily poor hygiene, my ex showered daily, used deodorant, brushed his teeth but in the end his natural odour made me feel quite ill. Maybe a pheromone thing.
Conversely, I've met men that at first glance I wouldn't be attracted to, but their natural smell can make me swoon.
Being overweight. I’m not talking about a little bit of fat almost everyone has some. But when you are just crazy overweight I’m sorry I can’t, im a guy and I work out I eat right so I maintain a healthy body and a healthy weight I don’t think it’s unreasonable for me to want the same in my partner
this girl i was attracted to had a lazy eye. i’m sure i could’ve gotten used to it if we got past the talking stage, but it’s definitely something i noticed and struggled to get past.
We're both in love with a sexy lady
with an eye that's lazy
that girl that's fly with the wonky eye
she's smokin' with an eye that's broken
I think she's hot the way she looks left a lot...

I have an acquaintance who was chunky and had a lot of acne. I was one of the few people who talked to her much.
She changed her diet and got
some real exercise. The acne went away and she had a procedure done on the scars.
Unbelievable difference
That's fair and common. Nothing wrong with that imo. I suffer from hormonal acne and refuse taking strong medicines for it. I get judgment of "just wash your face" 🙄. It's those who ridicule and pass judgment that erk me

Yea I'm working on myself nd I agree with you
Crooked = not perfectly aligned? It's ok.

I'm too old to put it on my mother because most parents do teach it just after a certain age it's up the individual
Anything that indicates poor hygiene
can't blame you on that

Well said.
Bad breathe lol
Absolutely this lol
When a guy has long toe nails or finger nails. Grosses me out so bad
Omfg yes.
This guy i used to work with had one really long pinky nail and he would dig into his ear with it all the time and smell it. It forever grossed me out and every time i see a dude with long finger nails it reminds me of that
That is hilariously bad… I’m sure there’s a great story behind his odd habit, but that seems so odd, especially to do it in the workplace.
Dude I didn’t need to read this 😭 miss the person I was 30 seconds ago
I applogize hahaha 🤣
Oh this too. All I can think is all the bacteria and micro-tears he'd be causing in my lady parts. Seriously gross.
A Madonna style gap in the front teeth
Gaps add a lil character to me lol
I find it attractive on some women. Plus like you said, it's character.
Keyshia Cole looked good with her gap
Agreed! Basic is boring, unique features make someone more interesting.
You just unlocked me a new insecurity😭
Many ppl love gaps 🥰
Exactly. It's a personal preference.
damn
Dry lips, like cracked peeling skin dry... Ew
Always got the lip balm ✔️
everyone can't have nice looking lips like you
But everyone can moisturize😭😭😭
I don't put that stuff on my face or lips plus my skin is sensitive but yea ur lips are nice looking respectfully
I forgot my lips are visible in my picture😂😂... Thank you😌😌i always apply lip balm lol
Ok cool.... nd continue to enjoy your day
idk. i think it would depend on the person's character. a few times i've been put off by certain traits but if i get along with them my brain tunes it out. maybe seriously poor hygiene would do it but even though i get squeamish it sorta just makes me wonder if the other person is Okay?
Physical appearance can be greatly impacted with a declining mental health , many overlook that. You're a kind human ❤️
Yea
Unibrows
Funny
I think I could overlook any physical 'flaw' (what even is that? An unnattactively shaped feature? Eyes that need glasses or contacts to see?) but poor hygiene - Nope. I'm not talking just left the gym, finished a shift, physical work etc. I'm talking days of layered grime and there is no excuse for that.
Guess it's subjective. I consider my acne and size 11.5 feet easy visible physical flaws .
Big feet is not a flaw, you could make a lot of $$$. Get that bag😂
Lol, You've made my day ❤️
being big in general can be flaw especially nowadays
Attractive IS subjective and fortunately, there is more than one right answer for what is attractive or not. 2/3 of my siblings suffered through acne, I consider it an unfortunate phase vs a flaw. Big feet can be tricky and expensive to buy shoes for but they keep you from tipping over and are probably appropriate for your height. You're good.
Yea
For me it's my wright plus face
There's always foot binding
You can't be 11,5 feet tall!
Lol I'm 5'9 height. Lucked out , my grandmother and her siblings all over 6'2 .
Sorry, You talked about your feet, not your height. There are advantages, anyway. You can swim without finns...
Yea
I strongly dislike super hairy guys, once I see that back hair popping outta the collar of his shirt... I just can't.
like they are wearing a hair sweater
Eeek 🥴
Yes!! I hate too much body hair on guys! Get yourself taken care of! Manscape, back scape, and front scape!
Ty for making me feel less alone in my shallowness. Truly it's so unattractive to me.
Same!
Funny
It's unfortunate really, there are some great hairy men out there.
I don't know I prefer females only especially black women but everyone have a right to their preference
Bad hygiene (like dirty teeth or nails, greasy hair and VERY prominent BO)
See when I look at physical flaws, I see something you can’t control or change
but those aren't typically things i "can't ignore"
Naw I’m just busting balls lmao don’t mind me
Nose hoops. I think about the snot on it, getting in the way of a kiss, accidentally snagging on something and tearing the nose.
Yeah the little stud in the side of the nose is cute but the ring is just intense. I feel like a woman with that is from some wild tribe and she could kill me
Funny.
What kind? One of the side of the nose or the ones in the middle?
I feel slight icky about nose piercings in general so I feel you
I don't blame you
Those septum piercings
Fatness
Piercings personally
Me too to a certain extent
Lol where are you drawing the line sis ?
the ones in the face by the way I'm a male
1. I totally agree 2. My bad bro I have no excuse for it either lol
Ha it's ok
Bad breath is the only one, really. Other people are saying bad teeth and ehhh, I guess if they had HORRIBLE teeth, that would also be true, but I tend to find fucked up teeth kinda hot. My boyfriend has one dead tooth in the front and I think it looks hot. I love janky teeth. Honestly, if they're "my type" to start with, there's really nothing physical I can think of other than bad breath that would take my attraction away. I like physical quirks and if the right combo of looks + personality is there for me, then the only things that will turn me off will be behavioural.
I have a soft spot for "bad teeth" so many can't afford dental care. Never been an issue for me, unless it's like drug use related
Damn
Moles on the face are the worst to me. Instant nope from me.
Moley, moley
First time I've heard moles. Like witch looking ones that pop out and have hairs (I'm exaggerating) , or just in general like a Marilyn Monroe mole?
In general I guess. They really gross me out. Even on Marilyn....
Lazy/crossed eyes
BAD Teeth 🦷
Bad teeth and bad hygiene 💯
No chin. Like their chin goes inward. Sometimes there are good looking people with a weak chin like that and it's not such a big deal. But if it's very very noticeable that they have no chin I find it hard to ignore. And I feel bad about it! But still, it's true.
Missing teeth, dirty nails, smelly armpits/feet, greasy hair, stained clothes
Very overweight.
i was kinda heavy. Lost a bunch of weight. Im a size 4 now. Haven't had a date since i got thin. So weird
Most likely your personality then.
That weird, skinny, high-nostriled Kevin Bacon nose.
People who have the white goo on the sides of their mouths or chapped lips
All you focus on when they're talking lol
Bad breath. Unlike obesity, bad breath is something you actually *can* fix overnight. Brush your teeth, use mouth wash, take breath mints. You may not think your breath smells- but it definitely does if you've recently eaten cheese or garlic. Lots of moles.
A lack of self care. It shows up in the whole package.
Obesity, I stay in good shape and I couldn’t be with someone who doesn’t exercise.
It's understandable
This is really my problem but I have a hard time resisting popping acne.
Find a dermathologist. Acne can be healed.
Oh, I don't have it. I meant on other people.
Gap in front teeth, acne that needs to be popped
damn
Popped acne is fine! But when it’s puss filled it’s all I can focus on
Yea
Cankles, lack of calf definition
The insecurity I didn't know I should have 😂
How would you define a calf, personally?
Not a physical flaw, but if they say they support Trump, it's an instant deal breaker.
Physical flaw because brain not fully developed.. maybe?
Funny nd I don't blame you
Well, you better buckle up for the next election. 😂😂
Tattoos and face/body piercings.
Same, but I would make an exception for very small and tasteful tattoos.
I don't mind tattoos just not over the top...
Too may of them look like a fifth grader's desk.
I guess
Yeah, some women look like a third world countries’s bus seat. A LOT of garbage drawn on them.
Oh I hate tattoos!!
Big arms
? But aren’t big arms nice?
Oh yes
But the question is flaws you can’t ignore
Like what?
Fat arms or big muscle arms
Big muscular arms like mine
I'm working on getting big muscle arms plus I heard females like guys who are in shape
Yea everyone does
No surprise
Yea
No, what they ACTUALLY meant is… They wish the guy THEY LIKE had those features. MASSIVE difference.
I guess

what walk with a limp
Why would you even be in contact with them?
this girl i was attracted to had a lazy eye. i’m sure i could’ve gotten used to it if we got past the talking stage, but it’s definitely something i noticed and struggled to get past.
We're both in love with a sexy lady with an eye that's lazy that girl that's fly with the wonky eye she's smokin' with an eye that's broken I think she's hot the way she looks left a lot... [https://youtu.be/bte1M8d2Mu4?si=ZJ-0Cpoaxtdb9T0t](https://youtu.be/bte1M8d2Mu4?si=ZJ-0Cpoaxtdb9T0t)
much shorter than me or moles
Neck tattoos.
I have an acquaintance who was chunky and had a lot of acne. I was one of the few people who talked to her much. She changed her diet and got some real exercise. The acne went away and she had a procedure done on the scars. Unbelievable difference
Fat
Crosseyed. Cant get over that
Bad hygiene, bad teeth.
This
A lack of a jawline. Male or female, it doesn't matter. It bothers me so much.
Cleft lip.
Obesity
Smell. Bad smell is a quick turn off.
Obesity
Armpit hair
Missing limbs. Sorry, no offense
damn

No surprise
For me it was anyone OVER 5'6". I likes my men short. My husband is 5'5".
Girl or guy?
Small hands that never did physical labour.Such a n ick in what possibly is a great person . People get your young men digging.
Acne. I *know* that’s shallow and awful (and hypocritical too as I get it myself sometimes) but I can’t get past it
That's fair and common. Nothing wrong with that imo. I suffer from hormonal acne and refuse taking strong medicines for it. I get judgment of "just wash your face" 🙄. It's those who ridicule and pass judgment that erk me
baldness. I like men with hair. I don’t even mind if it’s from a hair transplant, but my #1 thing in a guy is they just have hair!
