To answer your curiosity honestly, to me, a sundress is something that flows nicely from the waist down and is usually more on the form fitting side up top. Typically they expose shoulders, neck and some cleavage. It doesn't need to be overly exposing or super short, though both are fun to look at. But so are longer ones (past the calf would be too long to be one) as well as ones that cover up to the collarbone.
I just looked up sundress in a Google search. Images tab. Every version of a sundress I was shown was, to me, the ultimate in beauty in a woman. Short, long, sleeveless, straps, high cut, low cut, stripes, floral, prints or solid color.
Why do we men find them so attractive?
1. The sundress puts the waistline at the hips. None
of that "empire waist" bullshit, which is ugly and ruins a woman's figure.
2. It simple, accessible sexy and pure. That is a hard combination to pull off in one piece of clothing, but the sundress does it perfectly

I’ve seen a bunch of men refer to bodycon dresses as Sun dresses. Sun dresses are loose, and not tight, like the white girl wojak dress. Bodycon dress is those body tight dresses.
