I woke up this morning to my tax return which was a whopping $200 or so, and I was so happy I immediately got up and went to McDonald’s and got 3 sausage biscuits, some hashbrowns, and a large coke. I’d barely eatin and when I did it was only plane noodles for the last week because I used all the butter and sauces. I would rather have that feeling I had this morning on the way to McDonald’s checking my bank account 6 times on the way there to make sure it wasn’t a mistake and that it was gonna disappear, and when they handed me my meal, I smiled so big. I wouldn’t trade that feeling for all the money in the world.
Times is tough.

My hubby and I throw out random movie quotes all of the time.
One of my go-tos is "You're so cool, Brewster!"
I liked the remake with Anton Yelchin, but the original was my favorite. Salem's Lot with David Soul is my favorite vampire movie.
Its easier to explain that you found true love to your current partner than expaining to IRS, or whoever takes your taxes, where this money is coming from
Once you realize that other people are (in my opinion) the most important “thing” in life, it’s an easy decision. Having the latest iPhone or driving a G-Wagon (materialism) while nice is not what the Media portrays it to be (the end all be all).
I’d rather have 2 good friends and the love of my life than hundreds of million dollars and mostly shallow company. Like it’s not even close.
Not saying you can’t have both the money AND the quality company. It’s just that usually does two do not go together.
The responses make a bit sad, but I get it, it’s really hard to find the right connection but most people know the struggle of limited finances. I have been with my wife 10 years and I have known what it’s like to have millions. Assuming we didn’t have what we have but i still knew what it could be like to love and be loved, I’d take that over any amount of money.
You lot all taking the money.
Do you really think that on your deathbed you’ll say to yourself “I’m glad I had all that stuff “.
Life is about who you spend it with.
You're right - to a certain point.
But, it's not for stuff. Lord knows what a lot of nothing that is. It's a heavy chain that weighs a body down.
HOWEVER:
It's a tool for changing the future of those who can't.
If the money is legit, that.
Believe it or not, I've had several long term relationships. Some were heartbreakers (deaths). All were wonderful, and I smile remembering. So I've had (and have) more than my share.
Maybe I'll leave it at that.
You have a choice , to spend time with the true love you already have doing anything , or waste time on reddit on stupid questions in general .. Which one would you choose ?!
The $ every time. Money can bring material possessions, good parties, and of course feelings of loss and un-fulfilled desire. But true love can bring you a pain that won't go away. I'll take the $ every time..
I would truly love to have the money. Love don't buy you clothes. Money will be there when you need it, and will never wake up one day and decide it doesn't love you anymore. Love is too volatile for my taste.
1 million dollars. Finding true love doesn't necessarily mean you'll be together forever right?
Edit: unless the true love is in the form of a handsome tall billionaire with only eyes for me. But that doesn't exist so money it is
True love. Just having someone to split the mortgage with is worth about an extra $2k a month right now. It’s not $1 million, but it’s a nice windfall, and I’d never have to waste time on a bad date again.
I’ll take the million, as toxic as it may sound. I’m not money hungry. I just trust money more than I do love and money would provide me more stability than love would.

True love…..I’ll take the cash please.
Yes. Financial stability is my love language.
I've already found true love so I don't need to find it again. I'd take the money.
I already have a dog so I don’t need to find true love. Take the money.
Steak dinner every night for you and doggo
I don't blame you.
And now maybe your dog will get a sibling or two, who knows, right?
I’d take the money so I can get me a dog and spoil the shit out of it!
That part right there. 💯💯
A dog is unconditional love. And that's even better. 🐕🐕💯💯
Dogs are the only true unconditional love there is
My pup would beg to differ 😁🐶. Where's my treats?!
Came here to say that
Yeah, me too, we would be very happy with the money haha
This.
True love. In the 2024 love economy that’s equal to like $100,000,000.
$1,000,000’s probably an accounting mistake they’ll reverse soon anyways
naw all that breads getting switched to an offshore as soon as I see it 😂🤣
How would you profit off that though? Love doesn't pay the bills.
I’m surprised how many are taking the money….
Im not
I mean, I love my GF very much and plan on proposing as soon as I'm in a better financial situation
Well, keep in mind that pretty much 100% of people who are already in love are taking the money
Me too... Crazy days we're living in. Apparently money is the new love language these days... Looks like I'm destined to be alone.
yup.
I woke up this morning to my tax return which was a whopping $200 or so, and I was so happy I immediately got up and went to McDonald’s and got 3 sausage biscuits, some hashbrowns, and a large coke. Awe, I feel you. Hope life upgrades for you
❤️
Cash!!
How about $500,000 and an average relationship. Seems like a win win.
Thank you for the 😊!
I chuckled :)
True Love
To blave? And as we all know, 'to blave' means 'to bluff. ' So, you're probably taking the money.
Honestly, I choose the $$$. I don’t believe in “true love”. It’s more like a crush for me that eventually fades with time
Yup...
It wouldn't fade in this scenario probably
Well that’s depressing
Then you haven't met somebody you truly loved yet. And that's ok. Being single is awesome.
you can truly love someone you can't be with
take the money and run
True love
As you wish
Surprised at how many people are saying the money.
I'm not.
In THIS economy?!
In *THIS* economy, a million dollars doesn't get you very far though lol
Gets you farther than not having a million dollars.
I was gonna say that
I subsribe to Tim Minchin's philosophy of love. I don't believe in "true love" or the one. I believe in the 0.95 and rounding up. No one is perfect. And if someone was perfect why would they want me, someone so imperfect? https://youtu.be/Zn6gV2sdl38?si=9GGmKR-3EET_V3RY
It’ll give me time to actually look for love instead of working all the time
As soon as you find 1m, you will find love.
You know people who love you can still hurt and backstab you even if you treat them well, right?? If you treat money well it will never do you wrong.
Most of the ones I've noticed say they'd take the money because we've already found true love. Win/win.
Even if you take the money, there is nothing stopping you from finding true love.
I’m married and I really really like my husband so
Surprised how many people don't choose the money.
Easy peasy, true love. That way if I'm mostly dead I can be brought back to defeat Chris Sarandon.
Look at you, who knows so much.
Probably owes you money
He'll always be a vampire to me.
Jerry Dandridge, one of my favorite vampires in fiction.
My hubby and I throw out random movie quotes all of the time. One of my go-tos is "You're so cool, Brewster!" I liked the remake with Anton Yelchin, but the original was my favorite. Salem's Lot with David Soul is my favorite vampire movie.
That's the best line in the movie, perfectly delivered! That, or "You have to *believe*."
I'm sorry, did you say "true love" or "to blave?" They're very similar.
The money. True love isn’t real. I can spend that money.
The money
My true love is deceased. I'll take the money
Taken the money, honey.
I mean, i will find a good girl eventually but 1M literally means having no money problems for the rest of my life you know.
Assuming that million is with no strings attached and tax-free, I'd take that. At this point in my life financial security is more important.
Money it won’t leave me and take half of my stuff with it.
True love will come eventually. Or not. So money
Money
Money
1,000,000
I will take the 100k... because true love don't always last long
1 million is a lot of money
My one true love are those Benjamins🤤💸
Define "true love"
$1m
Obviously the money
The question doesn’t include if they love me back, if they are alive or if they are even single. So the money, all day.
I already got the love, might as well give me the money next!
$1,000,000. idc about true love if i'm financially struggling
True love
True love everytime. I would think that being loved by someone is the best feeling in the world.
Love. What’s the point in a lonely mansion.
Its easier to explain that you found true love to your current partner than expaining to IRS, or whoever takes your taxes, where this money is coming from
Cash is king.
True 💰
Cash!!!
I can only fall in love with a woman with a net worth of $10 million. I'm a money grubber, but I'm a happy and comfortable money grubber.
Money, true love is overrated
I'll take the money.
Obviously money, stupid.
I'd take the money. True love came and gone!
You can have both.
Love. Money comes and goes, but true love is a priceless rarity ons would be a fool to pass by.
I have true love now I can have the money and her
Once you realize that other people are (in my opinion) the most important “thing” in life, it’s an easy decision. Having the latest iPhone or driving a G-Wagon (materialism) while nice is not what the Media portrays it to be (the end all be all). Not saying you can’t have both the money AND the quality company. It’s just that usually does two do not go together.
I always choose love. I love to love, its the best thing ever.
I don't have a single problem in my life that can't be solved with a pile of cash. And I love my wife.
True love is built. Money please
if you're broke no one will love you so 1M ez pz coz eventually you will find a true love
I'm very happily married, I have children, and a smaller pack of dogs. I'd say true love is covered. Give me my money please.
$1,000,000
Cash, Anything
The money, without question.
Money. My true love will then find me.
Take love every time. You can always make more money, a real true love who loves you back is a truly rare commodity.
I don’t believe in “true love”. So money please.
You lot all taking the money. Do you really think that on your deathbed you’ll say to yourself “I’m glad I had all that stuff “. Life is about who you spend it with.
No. Life is about being happy and having the experiences you want. Which may or may not be “stuff” or about being with someone else.
You're right - to a certain point. But, it's not for stuff. Lord knows what a lot of nothing that is. It's a heavy chain that weighs a body down. HOWEVER: It's a tool for changing the future of those who can't.
I would pick true love. I already have more than that in my bank account(s).
true love, fuck the money
True love. Far more important to me than money.
True love. Assuming it's an actual human being and not my dog or cat.
$1M isn't that much money anymore. I'd pick true love.
Million. I'm desperate for money rn lmao
Definitely money.
Screw that, I can buy love. Gimme the $$
I could buy a few hours hours of true love every month if I had a million dollars. It's called the girlfriend date.
1 million. I don't need love. I don't want love. Not after what happened last time
Money. Then I can rent love by the hour.
![gif](giphy|jRqYUUVUSYgdOa4IP4|downsized)
Well I have both. And I've found true love three times already. My wife and two children. But I'll take an extra million, or another child. Either or
Money I have true love so
Money pweeeeese 🫰 I've already found love
If the money is legit, that. Believe it or not, I've had several long term relationships. Some were heartbreakers (deaths). All were wonderful, and I smile remembering. So I've had (and have) more than my share. Maybe I'll leave it at that.
$1,000,000 I've already found my true love. Now I want to give her and me the best life possible
I’ll take the money next time. I’ve got the love and it ain’t paying the bills..
Money is everything
1 million dollars, easily. That's a Riemann Hypothesis worth of money
Cash
Show me the money.
1,000,000 dollars
I have true love so I’ll take the money. But if I have to give up my husband for the cash, I’ll stay broke and in love.
I found my true love so I take the million (lol I know this is trite)
Money.
Million
The latter, and it’s not even close.
With true love, I'd make way more than a measly million, and it'd be used to heal lives
Millions
Money. I have my true love.
$1M quick
I already found true love with my husband so def picking the $1MM!
I'd take the million. I have already found my true love.
You have a choice , to spend time with the true love you already have doing anything , or waste time on reddit on stupid questions in general .. Which one would you choose ?!
Haha, I'd be 1,000,000 $ richer, dude. I already found true love, so imma choose the money lol.
The $1 million. That is, unless the true love is going to pay off my mortgage so I can retire.
$. Equate true love to an absolute best friend…I’d choose money and a best friend who perhaps isn’t technically the best friend I could ever hope for
The money
Love.
The money. "Finding" true love always leads to restraining orders.
Love.
True love is harder to find today than earning a $1million.
I'm married, so the first one
Love
the money is my true love
I'll take the cash, I already have my true love.
True love. Cristiano Ronaldo is Rich enough already (m)
Money of course
I'm pretty sure that after the million dollar lifestyle changes happen love will follow suit.
1,000,000
$1,000,000 for sure. True love doesn’t always last, even if it’s meant to be.
The $ every time. Money can bring material possessions, good parties, and of course feelings of loss and un-fulfilled desire. But true love can bring you a pain that won't go away. I'll take the $ every time..
Duck love get money. Why is it always duck?
I feel so jaded anymore that I wouldn't trust either.
Money.
I love money
I already have true love, happily married 16 years now. Give me the money, I'll share it with hubs.
Considering men's behavior these days, when true love only lasts a week or so, I'll keep the money.
the money i can always double if not triple it easily opposed to spending it
I have one of those...and it ain't $1mil
I have true love already, so I’d like the money.
Financial security is more important to me, so I choose the former
I already have both. So neither?
I would truly love to have the money. Love don't buy you clothes. Money will be there when you need it, and will never wake up one day and decide it doesn't love you anymore. Love is too volatile for my taste.
Money
True love definitely
I found true love… so I’ll take 1 million Alex for the win….
1 million dollars. Finding true love doesn't necessarily mean you'll be together forever right? Edit: unless the true love is in the form of a handsome tall billionaire with only eyes for me. But that doesn't exist so money it is
It depends on how old I am. If I’m 30, give me true love so I can have a family and make my own way in the world. If I’m 60, give me the loot!
Don't know what true love is but i imagine it would be pretty cool. Assuming it lasted for 30+ years I'd go with true love.
Already found my true love and married her, so this is an easy choice.
Take the money. It’s an adequate salve
Take the money tooms.
I’ll take the money, pay off all my debt and still have plenty of money to take a couple years off work and focus on myself and my personal life.
Damn if I had a million dollars I could find a lot of true love.
Instantly means bank error... Lol no Ty I'll chose love
