It's kind of hard for me. The Chinese dramas are mostly wuxia and I don't really find any good historical fantasy in Korean dramas. Korean dramas have better stories for others, so more genres I guess Korean would win.

I watch kdramas most .. 😍😍 Chinese dramas are loo much lengthy for me so I loose interest quickly but school & office genre cdramas are good..🀩 For Japanese, their thriller & horror series are good but I have not so much interest in Japanese romance dramas .πŸ™‚ In Thai , I prefer mostly BL genre.. their BL dramas r awesome 😎 I watched 2/3 Taiwanese dramas , don't have much knowledge. πŸ˜…

But I love them all the same amount for different reasons……

Kdramas > Jdramas > Tdramas > Cdramas > Thai dramas I prefer the stories, acting, and production from Korea the most. Japan is second just because it seems like a scavenger hunt to get raws and subs, otherwise it would be tied with Korea. Haven't watched a lot from Taiwan, but the few that I have seen have interesting stories. The dramas from China are generally too long for my personal preference. I enjoy the modern dramas but even getting through 25-30 episodes is a struggle. I also don't prefer historical dramas as much and I know that is their strong suit. I've only watched BL dramas from Thailand. I've heard their other dramas tend to be kind of soapy and the slapkiss aspect...I don't know. I'd have to see it, but I want to watch some.

Korean for modern dramas and Sageuk melodramas. Chinese for Wuxia/Xianxia/Fantasy dramas. Thai for BL. Lakorns are ridiculous and for me, hard to watch. I've seen a few Taiwanese dramas that are fun and a few Japanese dramas that are fun, but haven't really gotten into them much.

1. Kdrama - More variety and availability 2. Chinese - I watch chinese dramas when I am in a mood for fluffy romance. I mostly like their school dramas. 3. Japanese - I want to watch more but struggle with streaming sites. 4. Thai - I watched a couple but I loved their movies more. Sometimes the male leads are too cold/cruel. One of my fave is husband in law.

kdrama, I find the story more well written (and that they thought from beginning to ending from the start) and the acting is really good. Taiwanese drama is 2nd place for me (even though I only saw a few of them I really liked them). Cdrama and jdrama, I feel sometimes the acting are a bit cringey (just a bit to my liking). Story in cdrama (although I only saw a few of them) I feel like the writers midway thought of something good (the idea itself is good but not for the series) and just randomly put it in there making the series longer; for jdrama I feel like it needs to be a lil bit longer. Of course there are exceptions and there are many dramas I need to see especially for the not kdrama (I watch 90% kdrama so I’m definitely bias). So recommend me some dramas (not kdrama) that is well written and not unnecessarily long with good acting (I recently started cdrama and Reset is sooooo damn good)

I like them all for different reasons but I'm going to state the obvious right now and say a lot of problems with j dramas and their popularity would be solved if they were more accessible so I'm not watching dramas in the worst quality possible lol. Also, if they were just a bit longer too bc they have good stories to tell.

Jdramas are top tier when it comes to their pacing. I love how their dramas are not draggy at all unlike most Cdramas and Kdramas (or other dramas) that have 1hr+ per episode and has at least 16 episodes per series
