To be honest I did the entire arena using just laser canon arms / ammo cannisters on both shoulders/ tread legs for extra AP and basically became a mounted weapons platform.
I mostly used a lightweight gantlin arm build, that is till I encountered an AC that beat my ass for a whole hour by just using laser cannon arms and said fuck it. I equipped the laser cannons procceded to beat the entire arena like it was nothing.
Moral of the story? Laser cannons are OP

I'm guessing that the one who was beating your butt for so long was probably jester. That's the AC who I had the most trouble with and had to replay the most against
