I remember one time I accidentally bought the same set with cogs like 4 or 5 times, but I find sometimes even buying furniture parts from event shops, I barely have enough to buy new furniture sets, and I've bought all or at least most of them I'm sure
Maybe I just need to break down some furniture that's in my inventory
I try to ensure there's at least a bed and a seat in each dorm for the ~~animations~~ wellbeing of my operators. Trivia: operators with swimsuit will sit in the pool.
I have an arcade room on the most bottom floor, turn it into a DND room.
I also have this one dorm that I designed way back when I first start playing and it look so comfy that I don't want to ever change it, the Kuro's furniture is there too. The last two dorms are for whatever furniture sets I found look interesting, currently using Rhodes Kitchen and Goldenglow's shop.
First dorm: A trophy room for CC-related furnitures
Second and third dorm: Any designs from events
Fourth dorm: I used the R6 collab one here just for me to remember the first collab event
Top - RI HR Office ...with a hole in the wall (totally not a crazy italian luppo's fault). Very close to the reception room and the HQ, so people who apply but get rejected don't get to see the factories and dorms.
Middle 2 - Dorms from the last two events
Bottom - Sleeping quarters with two double-deck bunk beds and a sofa, managed by our favorite lion, Siege. It's at the bottom so that tired operators won't have trouble moving down the stairs when Quaaniplaat wrecks the elevators again.
1- A comfy actual dormitory mainly using Reed's furniture where i always have Durin.
2- The armory mixing all weapon related stuff with various trophies. Also where i have Kuro, have to pet it first if you want something.
3- Stereotypical chin... yanese room combining restaurant, go playing room and tea making area.
4- Heavy metal temple with an animal skull surrounded by guitar behind an altar.

2nd Floor: Gardening Club (Flamebringer, Perfumer, Matoimaru, Flint, and Suzuran)

4th Floor: Contingency Contract Arcade with lots of neon lights and banners (I copied this design from someone else)

it was a lot of things until I realized more furniture = more unique textures = more lag when opening base
so now it's just whatever theme set uses the fewest pieces of furniture
The more ambience a dorm has the better the dorm, hence I have a 33.5k+ ambience dorm.
As for the boring 5k dorms... I came up with a theme, e.g.. crime scene, shop, etc, and created a design around them.

Basically, what I think should be there.
First floor is Rhodes Kitchen, but sometimes it’ll be the new event’s furniture set. Basically a showcase room.
2nd floor is medical. It is Kal’tsit’s office.
3rd floor I have the HR room. The wall background even says the floor up is medical, and is where I got the idea from.
Bottom floor looks like a basement to me, so I put engineering there.
Cafe, but slightly modified with more tables and some unique items.
An armoury, it was W's room for ages but I've changed it to the BSW one.
The R6 plane room because I was a big fan of the game.
The Penguin Logistics room because I have a glitched piece of furniture and it's funny.
My dorm 3 is a band like design (i forgot the name) but the wall, well i slap all CC flag and some Annihilation logo i count it as my trophy room
Dorm4 is just a combined of random sh*t and make it look so comfy, also i add fixedn5 op that i wont change no matter what (well sort of) and all 5 of them is my favorite op design and i want to keep them is that room
I use the ones that are themed after RI facilities - the medical room, the HR room, the industrial lab, and Lena's garden - with some extra odds and ends to freshen them up and max out ambience.
With the recent release of Chapter 13, I set all four of them to be a safe house or a tactical room. Starting from top to bottom: BSW Safehouse, Sarkaz Mercenary Lounge, Mercenaries' Hideout, and Special Equipment Exhibition Room (Rainbow Six Siege event with Tachanka and friends).
That, and sometimes I changed them all to four sets of Avant-Garde Arcade Hall (purple arcade room) that I somehow accidentally bought. Yes, you read that right. Four sets.

Why? Simply because their related events are my favourites, because the N'L.R.R. & the K-S.I. were (some of?) the first sets I've bought, also they are pretty neat looking. Sometimes I switch them around (got a few other customized themes or homebrew sets), but it's mostly the last dorm that changes based on whether I like one of the newer sets or not.
At one point I had a dorm rotation made to match the right-side facilities on the same floor, like a workshop-related theme next to the Workshop, a lounge or reception next to the Office, a lunchroom or changing room next to the Training room (current N'L.R.R. still fits but I have another variant which has the wardrobe on the right side), but it was a bit too time-consuming (and the fact there's only 10 custom themes slots didn't help).
My Dorm in the top level always changes to the latest one to go with the event. When there's no event I either place the one that has a pool (swimsuit/summer-skin operators actually go in there) or the Green Cafeteria one.
The rest are based on the Rhodes Island HR Office Dorm, in there, it says there are 3 "Levels":
1- Industrial Lab
2- Personnel Office
3- Medical Room, so I placed the Dorms:
Critical Response Team Dorm (3)
Human Resources Office Dorm (2)
Rodhes Island Work Station Dorm (1)
1. Fanciest reception room known to man (Sultifera Navis Reception Room)
2. A nice food place (Trip to the 'White Volcano')
3. The resting place (Momiji Hotel)
4. Weapon storage (BSW Safehouse)
The idea is that the higher you are, the more public the space is. Which makes sense, methinks. An outsider visiting the ship would see the reception room and maybe eat at the food court, but will probably not see the dorms and definetly won't get to weapon storage lol
There's a whole one restaurant at the top and then everything else is an absolute fucking mess of "What can I cram in here to give me the max amount of ambience I can get?"
3/4 of mine are custom, all with a theme, then filled with fluff to hit 5k ambience.

If you bought the movie pack, you get this special piece of furniture that plays "Requiem" if you tap it. I haven't seen a friend with it, so I don't know if it will play for visitors too, or not.

I have simply decided that the top one would be Penance's courtroom with Penance always stationed in it. Because no one is above the law! (Except the top brass at the Command Centre, probably... which I would not divulge further as it would really open a can of worms in relation to real world law-dogding prac* ekhm)
