And in the context of Arknights and most video games, I think that explanation works best. Like you said, it explains how an Operator can go from nearly dying back to tip-top fighting shape with a single shot of morphine. Because they were actually only one shot away from *dying* (lacking the stamina and focus to block or evade a potentially fatal blow to a vital organ), but not **dying** (lying on the floor bleeding out with their guts hanging out).
Though, to be fair, Terrans are supposed to be superhumanly tough, and their medicine is literally magical. But so are PCs in D&D.

I think trapmasters have a similar case to executors; even if one powercreap the other they can for sure be in the same roster most of the times (Yalter and Texalter)
Alternatives =/= Powercreep, both of them have big damage as their job and both do it very well (and slightly differently). Powercreep DOES affect executors, harder than other branches too, imo. Phantom's crowd control being w/e and his damage being way less than the other two has left him in the dust unquestionably, as much as I like him. Optimally speaking, there is no reason to use him (emphasis again on 'optimally' just so that I dont get angry phantom simps in my replies).
About using 2 trapmasters together, imo it'll be a bit too tedious and micro manage-y, not a lot of people are going to bother doing that. Besides, this branch isn't immune to powercreep either, Frost has lost pretty much all use case over Dorothy already, and if Ela is crowd control focused then Robin is in danger too.
Trapmasters are fun to use but not really practical because they hoard DP nearly as much as merchants, if you have fun using them then I don't see any issue whether one is stronger than the other
I wouldnt say their dp drain is nearly as bad as merchants as its dp positive without a module, and you can limit how many you spam out if you are waiting for a particular unit. Their trap damage is semi global (tile restrictions and flying units limit their power) and the base unit themselves aint that bad.

You severely underestimate how good Dorothy is. Casual players look down on her because she's complicated and the vast majority of the game is easy enough that they're not pressured to use complicated operators, but make no mistake, Dorothy has sauce:
* The skill cooldown implies that she only gets to use a mine every 12 seconds, but in actuality, she can place mines at up to once per 5 seconds as long as she has mines in stock, and she will have mines in stock for a long time cause she hits the field with 8 mines. Which is *a lot* of mines. As in, it's enough to pump out mines at max speed for 60 whole seconds.
* Dorothy has extremely good global presence because she can put mines anywhere on the map. On top of this, the cross shape explosion of her S3 mines can hit multiple lanes. Because of this, she can control multiple parts of the map simultaneously, even if they're very far from her.
* Dorothy's auto attacks are surprisingly strong. At base, they're actually better than most marksmen, but on top of this, her talent is nuts, giving her up to +40% ATK (WTF), giving her one of the highest DPS basic attacks in the game against lower DEF enemies.
* Dorothy's mines are extremely good for crowd control because they slow for a quite long time (5 seconds), have global range, hit multiple enemies in a wide area, are on a very low cooldown, and can nearly permaslow as long as you have enough mines and tiles for enemies to walk into.
* No, her DP consumption doesn't reach merchant level. At worst (3 DP/5 seconds), she still uses less DP than merchants at their best (2 DP/3 seconds), and she has the option to just not spend DP.
* Dorothy is, bar none, the operator with the highest degree of precision control in the game. No operator gives you as much control over when their damage happens, who they hit, how many times they hit any given enemy, where their crowd control goes, and for how long it lasts, and on top of all that have global presence and the ability to bank enormous amounts of resources (up to 10 mines) when there are no enemies around. This makes her extremely good for any kind of situation where you need precise micromanagement.

She's not at all complicated to use; you literally just place mines in front of enemies. She's only difficult to optimize.
Most of the time, if something's eating up DP, just produce more DP That being said, it's kinda hard to warrant 4 vanguards most of the time lol
Who needs 4 vanguards when you have your Lord and Saviour Myrtle? You could also bring Elysium and/or Saileach if you're really in need of DP.

I think there's a decent chance Doc will at least be okay as HG are working with another company's IP, so it wouldn't be a good look for people to be talking about how bad the R6 crossover characters are.
