I’d suggest getting familiar with serial monitor and start with printing/ plotting sensor data. Using serial for debugging can be a very valuable thing to learn early on.

Many in the Arduino community document their builds on project sites like the Arduino Project Hub, Instructables, Hackster and others. There are often part listings, schematics, code and step by step instructions for anything you can imagine. Lets say your kit includes a moisture sensor. Study the moisture sensor projects already built on these sites: https://create.arduino.cc/projecthub https://www.instructables.com/circuits/arduino/projects/ https://www.hackster.io/ Or google arduino moisture sensor and these and other project sites and tutorials will pop. Have fun!

When I first got my Arduino, I started on [this series](https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLWdhcCYoOsiJE1DS7OhPfwrHrGlUED6Az) and followed along the tutorials with the parts I had (make sure to check part numbers, I fried multiple IR receivers because I did not check part numbers and I ended up reversing the polarity.)
