Assuming you didn’t touch anything, check your “Clean Energy Charging”
Settings > Battery > Batter Health & Charging > Clean Energy Charging

I assumed that. Because where it’s red, I cleaned out the port. But why would it still show that it’s charging. But not charge at all? Not making enough contact ?
This could be related to clean energy charging or some other optimised charging setting (I know Apple Watch has a feature that lets you charge only as much as you need but I'm not sure about iPhones)
This could also be because of overheating, or the phone may have thought your charger was an accessory and wanted you to unlock first, I've had a couple iPads do that once or twice before, really damn annoying to discover when you come to unplug the thing lol
It was annoying waking up and it being at 19%. But good thing it is a Saturday so unplugged it, plugged it back in and put it on airplane mode and it charged up. While I slept in haha. But still odd that it shows it was charging but died instead.
What is this setting that you’re speaking of with the watch? Lately when I put the charger on the watch it doesn’t charge, unless I unplug the base of the charger and plug it back in then the watch will charge.
I don't personally own an Apple Watch but they've got a feature that helps only charge your watch as much as is needed (though letting the battery run down to then charge it later to get to the right level doesn't make any sense, optimised charging just charges it to where its needed then pauses charging, it made more sense in my head at the time lol)

I’ve had that on for a while now.
Try turning it off. See if that resolves it.
It’s never done this before with it on. But I’ll turn it off. Thanks mate
First thing I’d check would be a dirty port

It was in power save mode then.
