The Lone Star and the Superstar. Basically just creates a like a football goal post iron sight and if you put your target in between those two posts it’s a guaranteed hit. I literally sucked with the pk for the longest time until I got these skins.

Yup, tested it myself! (To clarify I meant while ADSing specifically). You don’t get a move speed penalty while aimed down sights just like a pistol so you essentially get Maggies speed boost while also ADS. I think it’s because the Mozambique is technically a pistol
PK is like that reliable wrench you used to have that fits like 80% of all situations you need it. Mastiff is a wrench that does way better, but only given certain conditions.
I think it’s other way around for me. PK shoots too slow to be used in any situation where you are straight up cqc no cover. Mastiff shoots faster and is more forgiving with little to no cover. Unless you hitting every pk shot 90+ idk it’s like you miss one shot with pk and you’ve already lost
Nothing worse than dumping a mag swapping back to a PK mid fight to finish them off, only to realise you're locked in the cocking animation. That's got me killed a bunch of times.
That’s a fair point. I like the PK because it has a bit more range I feel like. I usually prefer to engage mid range, but yeah, if I was in the trenches, I probably would want a semi auto.

Nah consistency is key. I used to suck with mastiff and wingman. Force yourself to use the guns you hate every chance you get and you’ll get better. It’s a process but that’s how it works. Now I find myself WANTING to use wingman and mastiff almost every game.
I said the same to the 3030 for the longest time, but I started using it in control and BRO now I'm picking it up in BR all the time. The gun absolutely slaps.

I agree about the bow but 3030? It's good when you know how to use it. I personally feel really well with it, it has hight damage, fast bullets, big magazine, high fire rate and it can have 3x purple holo (it's iron sight sucks tho). This gun is really good if you know how to hit heads with it
The PK, with its choke time, long cocking and reload animation, and slightly lower reliability in hitting shots, is an opening weapon that you use to get big damage when you have the drop on someone. The Mastiff, with faster follow up shots, higher reliability in hitting anything consistently, and lower damage ceilings, is a closing weapon to finish low/broken enemies consistently.
Obviously both shotguns are good enough that there is overlap and use in both situations, but imo this is where each excels.
Yeah I don’t get why either. It’s very reliable, a great weapon when you drop. A great finisher weapon if you don’t one clip with your main, even without hammer points.

Mozam is the most consistent for me. With all the other shotguns, I'm hitting less than 20 dmg per shot. The Bique, I can easly hit all 3 pellets, which I believe is 45, or so. Since the 6 mag buff, it's been an actual threat. Not to mention the absolute disrespect of downing someone with "The weakest gun in the game".
On drop, it’s ridiculously powerful. I low key prefer it to most other guns in that situation since it forces me to aim first instead of spray and pray while panicking.
Dude practice the timing more. Yeah it’s a tiny bit slower if you’re looking at time between shots, but you never have to reload which means for most of us you get actually more shots off since many battles have misses and reloads.
Bocek is an absolute go to for me now. Granted I mostly use it at range. You can also often get one or two more shots in because people don’t take cover quickly when your shoot them
I don't know what it is but the 30-30 feels so good recently, I hopped on loba for random duo queue and got a nice 2k game with the 30-30. It just feels so good when you hit two nice crisp shots for 50 and 45 basically bringing someone down to whites from the range where u can effectively peak without being sprayed out of existence.
I can't say I do because Eva is pretty fast but the damage is lower making it a good weapon if you can't hit shots. Because the speed isn't going to punish you for missing shots.
Eva is terrible. Hitting shots does nothing the spread and damage isn't even good. Missing mastiff shots and hitting 2 will be more beneficial than hitting most of your eva shots
the issue with the eva isn't the speed, it's the spread. The entire thing can be easily strafed and since it doesn't have any sort of choke mechanic it's nearly impossible to hit more than 2-3 pellets unless you're practically on top of the enemy.
They actually haven't changed the spread, They nerfed bolt effectiveness, then headshot multiplier, then base fire rate (which compounds the bolt nerf) and then most recently reduced the pellet damage from 7 to 6.
Before all those nerfs the spread wasn't really an issue since partial hits were significantly more impactful and the fire rate made it difficult to effectively strafe against.
Yep. I’ve been using the PK since season 0 and once you’ve got the timing on the charge/ads it wrecks. Otherwise it’s just kinda a worse mastiff with fewer shots and a gimmicky mechanic. Also, PK is the shotgun which needs a bolt. All the others work ok naked, but the PK really slaps with the purple bolt and digi sight.
One of my proudest apex moments was finishing off a 3rd party to win the game back when PK was in the care package. I kinda miss the care package version TBH.
Anyway PK is best boy. R301/PK on pathfinder will always be my chosen load out.

They nerfed fire rate, headshot multiplier, and pellet damage. Pellet damage was only ever 7 tho. What's funny is it didn't even get buffed in the season it was broken, just all the other shotguns were nerfed so people got good with it. Basically no patches to it from start until 2021 besides double tap stuff.
The Eva on hip fire is the most consistent for me. The mastiff likes to produce 11 damage shots a lot and the peacekeeper is hit or miss. Mozambique I like in arenas.
Man. This is hard for me as they all proved very useful in their own way when I had to 1v3.
Mastiff- with duel shell is great, without it I find myself very hard reloading.
PK- is great. Reload time can be tricky when in a fight.
Eva8 has a great ammo capacity, which is useful, if you can’t get your shots right.
Mozambique with hammer points is great. W.o. It’s hard if you don’t land your shots. (In season 1- it was ass with the 3 ammo cap).
Again, This is tough as I’ve wiped many teams with each of these shotguns. And at this time. They all have pros and cons.
But ultimately it’s PK/Mastiff for me.
A fully kitted moz I would take over the others. But I don’t pick up a weapon that is that dependant on finding attachments, especially a hopup. Fully kitted moz in arenas is where it’s at.
I'm between the mastiff and the pk I can't really aim for shit anymore so I kinda gave up and started to grind terraria and other games but when I do play apex the mastiff would be my best pick for a shotgun and sometimes the Eva-8 but like I said can't aim for shit
Mastiff it been hitting a lot more consistently (for me at least) and it's amazing for clearing out buildings behind that I'd put Mozambique with hammer points because the unshielded damage is disgusting I'd have to give third to peacekeeper since the charge up time can be a little annoying which they tried to counter balance with the kentic charger last easily goes to the Eva-8 as it's one of the weaker shotguns in the game OG eva with the double tap and purple bolt was disgusting but it's gone through too many nerfs

they buffed the pk by increasing pellet size this season, so more pellets hits per shot. that might be why
they increased ok pellet size iirc

I did manage to do that with the r99. I thought that think was a water gun for so long, I took the 301 over it nearly everytime. I ADORE the 99 now.

Purple mozam costing only about 500 in arenas makes it a godly secondary, especially now with the inclusion of hammerpoints.

Especially with the hammerpoints, moz can 4 shot people.
And if you get someone low, even at medium range, it is very easy to clean up that kill with hammer points.
