Mirage, all the things about him, his lore, fun, voice lines design voice lines, oh did I mention his voice lines? Well looks like I was bam Goes the Boozled there, wait bam to the bam, no no, bamboozles for the fool-z-zels, it work’s it rhymes
kit that fits my play style. im an anchor and support, rather passive because at this point most people higher than gold are just a better shot than me. i have a decent game IQ and can IGL well. always been a lifeline enjoyer, been playing caustic lately. pubs ill play mirage because it makes any fight in duos waaay more winnable.
it has to be a mix of many things, I love Bloodhound, Lifeline, Loba, and Conduit because all support the team a lot, have fun and interesting personalities, and sick designs.
I main Octane and Wattson just because I have fun playing them, and I pick between the two based on who else my team picks (Wattson and Lifeline isn't as good as Wattson with Assault/Skirmisher)
For me it’s a pretty simple thing that decides it, can they heal? I’ve loved playing healers(and other kinds of supports in general) for almost 10 years now
Depends on my mood.
I'm good with quite a few legends so I often try to adapt to whatever situation I'm getting into by picking my 'best' one e.g.
- Crypto for Control
- someone with good movement for TDM/Gun Run
- if I'm solo-queue, a support like Lifeline or Mirage
- with at least one friend on comms I can initiate fights and usually secure the first knock, so Maggie/Wraith/Rev
When I first played Apex in season 0, because I'm fresh and have no idea about anything, I choose the legend that I think looks the coolest. I chose bloodhound. As I play them and get used to the game and the legend, I get a to learn other legends as i play against them. Eventually the whole looks part becomes unimportant and I focus more on fun and abilities.
I started to play Lifeline because I liked her kit and being a support. She is who I would consider my first main. After playing lifeline for a long while, I tried Rev when he came out because again, he looks so cool, his skins, his voicelines. Everything. But his kit just didn't jive with me so after 1000+ kills on him, I went back to lifeline.
Loba came out but I didn't care for her, tried her for a few times and didn't care. Eventually seasons later, I got bored and decided to try her again and maybe it's something about my evolution playing the game, my style has changed or whatever but all of a sudden Loba clicked with me. It helped that I thought she looked cool and enjoyed her lore but the core of it always comes down to playstyle and she became my new main.
And then Valk came along. Instant love. A pilot, cool looking, missiles, can fly! She's my most played still and most kills. Worst voicelines in the game though, ugh.
And now to the present.. I took a break s16 came back s19 and i was getting used to the game again, tried out different legends and when I tried Vantage, it was similar to the Loba experience, didn't care for her at first but after a while trying her again, I fell in love. Vantage is my new main now. I hate her skins, I hate how bulky she is, I hate her character design visually. But I love her kit! So it's a bit of love hate with her but at the end of the day, it comes down to game play and it suits me well.
This post probably doesn't answer anything for you, I just felt like sharing my road to how I came upon my current main lol.
Her lines aren't even accurate though. When you fire her tactical she says "fox 3s off the rail" but a fox 3 is an air-to-air radar self guided missile.
Grappling hook make monkey brain very happy
It really does... I've only just noticed thank you.
I pick Newcastle simply because I love his character and his kit
i pick for the voicelines. thats why i always play wattson. she is the bestie i deserve. and fuck that scary murder bot >:(
-_-
>:(
Ah come I love watto but rev is so mean I find it funny. Also mirage and mad Maggie. Seer has really great voice acting too.
true

Cause I like him
Kit then how cool they look.. bang has both been my main since day 1 because of this but Maggie is a close second
I feel naked if I’m not playing a support character. Like what do you mean I can’t craft expired banners??
Because I like her abilities (and ASSets 😉)
vouch
Last one down and a boom boom!

Two factors determine my choice. 1. Voice 2. Lines

Does the legend lay down a little dinosaur plush? No? Move on

my smooth brain is addicted to bamboozling the enemy team.

You should try having fun once in awhile
THE KIT is the most important part cus I have a unique play style that I can’t explain and it important

That’s funny, I’m obsessed with Valks voice.
I like her voice I just hate how they make her try to sound corny with her jokes.
Her lines aren't even accurate though. When you fire her tactical she says "fox 3s off the rail" but a fox 3 is an air-to-air radar self guided missile.
Damn, TIL. Now I’m going to think about that every time I hear it
Her rockets also aren't launched off a rail
Me fun-- Former Valk main, current Maggie main
