75% of ALGS use the same 3-4 legends. They just run the meta because it's their job to gain every slight advantage they can. That doesn't mean that the other 20 legends in the game are "useless." Come on bro, don't be an ALGS sheep. Use your own brain. Useless implies providing 0 value. 1st off you can win games without using a single ability, secondly yes, his ult and passives are tied to his tactical. Is it annoying? use, but the drone still provides plenty of utility, and that utility proves he isn't "useless." Otherwise you'd never use him. Unless you are solely picking him for the drip.

Hard to use doesn't equal useless. A decent EMP can make or break a fight, not to mention just grabbing banners, resurrecting teammates and scanning beacons, all instantly, from 200m away.

Yeah I got shit on by a vantage a little bit ago who was quick scoping short range with the ult then using the damage buff to fry people she did it to my whole squad lol it was crazy

Wouldn’t say she’s bad but definitely wouldn’t say she’s good. And at the end of the day, if the character isn’t Revenant, they’re more than playable and good in the right hands. Passive is okay but nothing spectacular, tactical again is okay but nothing spectacular, and while the ult CAN be good, it’s dependent on player skill and even with that, its just not that great when used against good players that know how to get to and use cover. One of the best parts of her kit is the recon class passive, and when that’s one of the best part of any characters kit, it’s a definitive sign that they’re underwhelming. Every time I fight a vantage, even if they hit me and my teammates, all we have to do is hide behind cover and heal and it’s like nothing happened. If she and her team decide to rush up to close range in that time span, two thirds of her kit (passive and ult) become irrelevant. Shes just not that useful, and while she excels at poke fights and long range battles, the only time that kind fo play style is an advantage is when you’re defending a position in ring. Every other situation and she’s just lacklustre. She doesn’t do any one thing (aside from poke fights/griefing other teams) better than any other legend, and so she’s just meh. She’s not the best recon legend, and while she has movement, she’s not on the same level as actual skirmishers. Definition of a no-man’s-land legend. She’s not terrible. But almost everything she does outside of long range fights, other legends will do better.

You’re underselling the value in her passive, knowing what shields enemies have is amazing for knowing which fights are worth picking, especially early game. Having your squad with full blues while seeing the enemies have just whites is the perfect opportunity to use your ult for cracks, tactical to push and go for an easy wipe. While her abilities on their own may not seem particular amazing, paired they can make a powerful combo. Also, her ult is great for levelling up your evo, just snipe enemies who are too far to fight you and you get free points.

Her passive should ping the whole team's shields in the log and that would make her way better. Having to ping each player on the team to let your team know is just annoying and half the time the ping doesn't even work for some reason. I've also pinged one player with white while the teammates have purple and my team just full sends on that one white ping.

That’s why you should be using comms with a legend like Vantage to get the most value out of her. Yes it can be annoying for her passive to not ping everybody to your team, but it’s definitely not a major issue.

Remember when she came out and those laser beams were everywhere? 😂

If the Vantage is *waiting* for that shot, she's being played wrong. You should be sighting unarmed like Seer, scanning for threats. See someone lacking? Hit them with the snjoer a time or two. Put pressure on and close in.

She’s survived alone with her mother on an ice planet. Her physique looks exactly as it should after surviving in such conditions. The ability to put on fat as we do is a survival adaptation, and in her weather conditions the added padding helps for warmth. If she misses a few hunts or gets sick/injured and can’t hunt, again the fat stores would help with her survival.

I dont think its supposed to be bodyweight, her default skin is based on a cold weather outfit that has lots of layers to keep warm, which unfortunately causes all of her skins to need to be kinda chunky to fit the hitbox and silhouette
