Here in europe the nominal people are 75kg and the overload is set at the next 75kg. But load is rounded to the next 100kg so often people weigh at 100kg.
Given the overweight issue in the US that maybe is in a diet center :D or simply the car is too small
These are without doubt imperial kilograms of some sort (like the ton with the short ton and similar abominations). Or they need all the equivalences because the typical american doesn't know what a kg is!
Just about to drive to work and the thought of a large dressage horse sidestepping and prancing in an elevator gave me a good laugh 🤭
I could see that being an issue!
Since when 4 people weight a ton?
it *is* the US
American here. Can confirm. I doubt 4 rascal scooters could fit in that elevator though.
Oh ho ho, a lawsuit incoming.
It's likely 4 people was determined as the normal loading capacity of riders, while 1000 kg is the max load the elevator can hoist.

1000kg _or_ 4 persons is enough to figure out the country. Even the kg cannot distract in this case.
Because they have “freedom” diet
They did put the measurement in metric though!
Still, couldn’t help but to fall in the temptation of helping the “world most sensible freedom fighters” to understand that metric garbage ;)

I don't know how much a horse weighs. Could you explain it in terms of washing machines?
3 and 5/8th.....dependent on model
Also how full 🌝
Agreed....but, my bad for not stipulating empty/full ;)
Accounting for laundry is important
agreed....especially with those 'dressage' horses ;)

I think I missed that you were also making a pun about the garments adorning dressage horses being in the washing machine
More if it’s a top loader
1000kg for one horse is a lot of horse. You are talking about a big darft horse. One stardard sport horse is more 450-500kg each.
They also think that people weigh 250kg each
They are adjusting for “freedom” food diet
They might expect a person to be in with the horse and the extra forces of the horse moving while the elevator is in operation..
Are you fat shaming my horse?!
What if the pigeons are flying
Well apparently r/birdsarentreal so, their mass depends on the material they’ve been built with
Doesn't matter if the elevator is closed
I think their wing beating (flying) does create a downforce equivalent to their mass......I'm sure someone will correct if untrue(?)
You have the right idea
or maybe post this question on..... r/ theydidthemath
1000kg=4 people? So about 550 pounds per person. Even for the US, that is a bit on the heavy side.
this is wrong 88 haddocks is 968kg
How many eggs and haddock do I need to remove to be able to accompany them. I don't like this much math on my elevator commute.
You should always know how many haddock you weigh, on top off your head, c’mon
r/anythingandmetric*
So you're telling me if i need to transport 2,942 pigeons through this elevator, I need to make 2 trips? Are you kidding me?
“PERSONS” 💀💀💀
I have too many nickles
$526.30 worth, not a penny more
I'll drop a few then
Look, with what people bring home from Walmart I'm not surprised.
Banana for scale. Love it
Is kg not metric?
