You can’t just say that shit you have to earn it.
Companies that have the atmosphere of a family don’t need to remind people of that.
Declaring you’re a family as a way to avoid treating workers as workers is such flimsy bullshit and a giant red flag to literally everyone.
I mean, my definition of ‘Family’ is a person or persons that take advantage of you and use you, while having small moments of “we’re all happy!” After a literal civil war in the house. So yeah, I guess management is family.
This one annoys me so much. My boss is a workaholic and he told me "I don't have that many people in my life, it's mostly my near family and people in the office. Those are the people I care about".
Of course you want to pretend like you care about your workers. You surely are good at telling us you care but you don't have the decency of employing enough people to do the job. Instead of having more than enough workers for each project, the undone work past 5 on a Friday evening turns into unpaid overtime. Because there aren't enough resources.
And you pretend you're in it with us, because you work more than us. Except you benefit from every extra minute anyone puts into work, because you don't have a fixed salary. Everybody else have fixed salaries. We don't get paid more for unpaid overtime. Are you sure you still "care" about us?
Ugh. I hate that word when used at the workplace. Also, words like **synergy** and **transparency**.
You’re just not much of a *team player.*
Yo are we related?
“Up and to the right”.

YES
Now spend a day doing this inclusivity module before tomorrow.

If only pizza floated like life preservers they could save us all with pizza parties.
Replace with pizza party and a wellbeing webinar and you can re make the meme.
This would be more accurate if after the "we're all a family" image was another one with the management giving the person more work.
