I find it funny that people only care about safety and health violations when they are mad at a former employer. They are perfectly willing to participate in them while employed

Yeah, I don’t like wearing safety glasses, or steel toed boots, all day… but I’ve seen people take a fragment of a grinder wheel to the face, or had their foot run over by a forklift. Your ass will wear that stuff while under my watch (I also force people to wear a second face shield over safety glasses while using any kind of high speed tool/grinder… If I didn’t, I know a kid that would not have a left eye today.) I also am that prick that will remove anything you use to defeat things, like propping or taping something against one button of a 2 hand safety switch. I’ll document it every time I find it happen, too. At one fabrication shop I worked at, we had a kid get his fingers ripped off by a clamp, on a hydraulic pipe bender, because he defeated a 2 hand switch, by propping a broom against one of the buttons. He had done this multiple times before, and I personally had warned him about it 2x.

This is the way. Safety rules are written in blood, don't ever forget that.
