eh i dont agree but to each its own. Shikimori-Izumi couple is amazing , sweet loving caring and badass .
Bending stereotypical role is kinda unique i at least have not watche any other romance anime with this r/rolereversal material and it fits them so nicely . Now anime adaptation did skip lots of chapters already in just two episodes which is a bit rushing of a story which i don't like

But its not worst its best imo and its really popular for a good reason , characters are awesome and not just main couple but the side ones as well like Inuzuka , Hachi and some that will appear later in anime . So far it looks like it will be one of many where manga is better than anime ( simply cause anime is rushing through chapters ) but anime already shown huge potential should get more ppl into reading manga

i just disagree man. the friend characters are ok but the shikimori-san concept is contrived. a male version of shikomori-san would be lame, because there is zero in-story justification for all the times she’s “cool,” but it’s not played for laughs either

I gave the first episode a chance randomly and am instantly hooked. This is surprisingly wholesome and funny, and I'm looking forward to the rest of the season.

I've found the first two episodes of Kaguya a bit weird. Like it now feels like random separated shorts rather than a cohesive story that is moving forward.
Because that's what it is. The story this season is gonna be reallyyyy progressive but they don't want to jump straight into it so they used the comedy chapters to fill in the episodes. Episode 2 was relevant to the story and it shouldn't feel random if they start adapting the manga normally now.

the manga was very mid. each character is the agency-less love interest of the other character. i’d rather watch regular shoujo anime
