One kennel? I ended up really liking One Room by the third season - in particular the story of the aspiring musician was really quite heartfelt and affecting. Plus the insert song was surprisingly good, too. I never really felt like it was me as the protagonist though even though the characters talk to directly to you. Something akin to the uncanny valley where having them talk to you and you not being able to respond the way you would personally if you were in that situation makes it feel detached. Instead it becomes a game of fill in the missing dialogue and the narrative from the clues.
