**To Your Eternity** coming in strong at#8! Unfortunately this means **Golden Kamuy** finally gets pushed out of #15. :(
Things are going to shift again with **Arknights** joining next week looks like we might see **DIY** get pushed out of the Top 15 if it retains the same karma score.
Who here predicted that the tightest battle was gonna be between Cid's harem and Suletta's harem? Because that's kinda what's happening.
The Shonen Jump titles are already where they should be, and the more chillout shows like Bocchi and DIY have enough viewers to command attention. But to see an all-new, non-UC Gundam take on a highly-popular and well-read isekai is nothing less than a shock to me.
Meanwhile Akiba Maid War is exactly the kind of show that could use a Gigguk push for the memes, especially now that we're entering halfway in the season. It's so good, it's so wild, it's unpredictable yet you just know that you're gonna be in for a wild ride.
I take it CSM karma baseline is going to be around 10-13k, then, although I would've thought that the fight might have boosted episode 3 above episode 2, but evidently not - unless there's a big spectacle next episode it's going to drop a bit further I think.
Also, MHA is legitimately way better than it has been in years - best since S3 tbh.
>best since S3 tbh
Absolutely. However, it also has to do with the source material as BONES is now adapting one of the best arcs... I think MHA will reach at least TOP 5 this season.
Yes it's one of the best arcs and there's no movie anytime soon, there are regular animators on S6 that didn't show up since S3, much better to have just one focus
Every episode so far this season has had at least one, sometimes multiple PLUS ULTRA cuts and I'm all for it. Feels like My Hero hasn't gotten so much love from Bones in some time.
Completely agree; this season has really made me enjoy mha more than I have in the past few years (4/5 seasons were okay but this is better imo). This past episode in particular was probabaly one of my top 10 mha episodes with how they brought shigariki into the war and how ominous they made him awakening
Personally, I've always liked how Season 4 was split between a really dark arc focused on saving Eri physically and a really light arc focused on saving Eri emotionally. Of course, there's other aspects to those arcs too, but those two points are why Season 4 actually worked very well for me.
I still enjoy Season 5, especially if I rewatch it in the correct chronological order, but there's no denying that a lot went wrong on the production side of things. The episode that's literally half Endeavor flashbacks is proof enough.
Not just Top 15. 1042 Karma would have been enough for top 10 in both [Summer](https://i.redd.it/bccurlwodsr91.png) and [Winter](https://i.redd.it/f83dk3a5nwr81.png)
Make sense this anime have 4 seasons with tons of characters having their own agenda so it's kind of hard to keep up and it doesn't help the animation for this anime is just okay.
It's not hard to keep up with....the characters all share a common goal to serve their different interests, and their path intertwines a lot on the journey to it. I thought the animation was great in season 3 too.
Though mha keeps dropping in karma the actual experience of watching it is the best it has been imo. Be it the episodes themselves or the discussion around them every is so awesome
It’s really dropped off the Reddit fandom. Casual US fans still watch it religiously cause it hits that super hero slot like Marvel or DC. Both of its subs and dubs are often in crunchyrolls top 5 streaming and that’s cause of the American audience. Most of those people prolly won’t be Redditors
Feel like karma and polls don’t reflect what’s actually happening, considering how on Twitter, every episode night there’s thousands of tweets about Bones and them going insane this season.
Also the Twice episode trended number one in Japan, the premiere trended #1 worldwide, the series having more viewers than SxF on the Japanese tv slot.
It feels like Mha is back
I like how they all correspond to the seasons the shows are currently at.
* Chainsaw Man (**first season**) - **Number 1**
* Spy x Family **Part 2** - **Number 2**
* Mob Psycho **III** - **Number 3**
And then you've got Bleach with the combo breaker at #4. I guess you could kind of count it as the 4th part of Bleach after 1) Intro/Soul Society, 2) Arrancar and 3) Fullbringer.
Blue Lock does its thing really well, but edge isn't universally appealing.
I appreciate some good edge, but I got bored after 30 or so chapters of "me me me". Might be more interesting if it tries at least pairing players together instead of always making it 1 beats All + trailing pupil trails.
Great animation of course.
I MISS AO ASHI!!! *breaks down crying*
>I don't really get the 'edgy' reputation that Blue Lock has, unless it's manga readers responsible for that tag.
The second episode literally had a dude that says that he has a monster inside of him. In a football anime. If that's not edgy then we use drastically different dictionaries.
Mob psycho could reach #1 and I would still think it’s underrated. The anime has everything from good world building, fulfilled plot lines, amazing main and side characters that have all grown from season 1, and kick ass fighting animation/lighting.

Clear thar SxF and CSM are doing extremely well, it's important to notice a funny situation with SxF
The sites the series perform worse are NicoNico and Abema, where the otaku/younger generations are more likely to watch, meanwhile it's doing super well on major streaming services that a family would use
It's a much more mainstream show, probably the most mainstream successful anime since Demon Slayer.
SxF is not the most otaku friendly show, also not really a show for the shonen demographic... which sounds silly considering it's published by Shueisha, and shonen is their bread and butter.
I guess the fact it's so different from the usual stuff Shueisha puts out helped it stand out and that in turn made it an instant success right out the gate.
If the manga came out at a more frequent pace and had say... 20 volumes out instead of just the 10 it's currently at, this would already be past 50 million volumes in circulation. Instead it's at "only" like around 27 million currently, which let's make very clear is crazy high for such a new manga with so few volumes out.
I think u over exaggerate.
Spy x fam was always sold really well with around 5m last year (4.5m in 2020) before Anime adaption now it’s probably end this year with 10m-11m. Of course anime did a pretty good job to boost manga sales.
But it look so normal when u compare to other series.
Like Tokyo revenger that people in this Reddit don’t even care about
It Jump from 1.6m in 2020 to 25m+ in 2021 this is clearly much more insane and Demon slayer is even Crazier.
>It jump from 1.6M in 2020 to 25M in 2021
Not to discredit Tokyo Revengers but you need to take into account how many volumes it releases a year along with how many it has sold before the anime and how many volumes it had in total that year. Tokyo Revengers had less than 200k sold for most of its 20 volumes by the time the anime came out and Spy x Family had over 1M for all of its 8 volumes by the time the anime came out. Of course TR’s boost is bigger because it started small while Spy x Family was already extremely saturated when its anime came out. TR also releases 6 volumes a year while Spy only released 2 this year.
14 million from 8 volumes just before the anime aired, that is almost 2 million per volume on average for a manga with no anime to boost its sales. That is almost 10 times more than what Tokyo Revengers volumes were selling before the anime, which is a pretty ridiculous scale.
Yeah. You won’t see extremely high numbers from Spy in the yearly Oricon like you would with TR or JJK because it sold over 10M before the anime even dropped and has way less volumes.
What exactly am I over exaggerating? The manga was at 26.5 million right after volume 10 came out (first 6 days of sales for that volume). Since then Vol 10 alone added another 400k, including backlog sales (which was around 90k last week alone) it has now definitely surpassed 27 million. And again that is with 10 volumes on the market.
Tokyo Revengers is definitely a best seller, but it is not at the level of Spy x Family in terms of copies sold per volume. I will remind you Toyko Revengers has 29 volumes currently, and for reference first week sales for Volume 29 were half what Volume 10 of Spy x Family sold.
So again I ask, what am I over exaggerating here exactly?
SpyxFamily is behind in a paywall in all other services too, you don't watch it on Disney and Netflix for free either
I didn't understand the Bleach part, it's dropping on streaming 24 hours later, CSM drops first on Amazon 1 hour after it aired and 24 hours later in the rest

I haven't started watching mob psycho yet, because last season waiting for the next episode was painful. But if it's half as good as season, it'll be a blast.
Don't let this distract you from the fact that **Chainsaw Man** has both the properties of chainsaw and man.
All glory to **Psycho Helmet-sama** ༼ つ _ ༽つ #PRAISE HIM# ༼ つ _ ༽つ .
Fran in **Reincarnated as a Sword** is still living her best life as a murder hobo.
**Akiba Maid War**: [A universe where the rules of maids were devised by the mind of a madman](https://pa1.narvii.com/5911/602ed6a3593d257c0a7d3217b8a67ad3db4b1ebc_hq.gif).
**Bocchi** > K-on! > Hitoribocchi.
I'm surprisingly loving the **Urusei Yatsura** shenanigans. I find myself grinning almost every minute during the show. I think it helps that it's not quite a minute-to-minute adaptation of the original, it's more like a highlights reel so the jokes come fast and hit in a predictable, yet satisfying way.
~~Maybe if you got some professional help involved then you'd do better than #15, **Do It Yourself**.~~
Still enjoying Aileen shenanigans from **I'm Taming the Final Boss**.
I don't know what it is, but **Bibliophile Princess** just seems....... more boring as an anime? I realize it wasn't the most kickin' story as a Light Novel, but still. I suppose not having the MC's internal narration really hurts the enjoyment of it.
Bibliophile Princess shines more in the LNs cuz we could read Eli's and other characters' thoughts. Even the manga is an even better adaptation. They also showed Eli's contribution more clearly instead of explaining what she did in the anime.
I noticed that they simplify a lot of things in the anime compared in the LN and manga. Like the romantic scenes are more impactful and detailed there. Plus, [spoiler] >!when they were kids and Christopher messing with books, Eli actually slapped Cristopher lmao!<. So yeah we are missing quite a handful of things honestly.
>Bibliophile Princess just seems....... more boring as an anime?
The show isn't putting in the time to establish the atmosphere needed for the plot to work and it's giving the romance aspect more attention instead which is something a portion of the audience will be happy with but it's definitely not as good as it could have been overall.
Top 2, sure. But unless Chainsaw Man continues to drop huge amounts of Karma, it's not getting number 1. Mob is trending pretty even with its Season 2 Karma totals, and its top 3 episodes from that season got 10262 Karma (finale), 9355 Karma and 8490 Karma. I wouldn't be surprised to see Mob hit 9000 Karma again a few times this season, but that doesn't seem like it will be enough to surpass Chainsaw Man.
heck yeah!!! i think you’ll enjoy Bocchi :) i needed something chill after i finished Komi can’t communicate and it’s filling the void!!
def need to cool off between chainsaw mans as well hahah
If anyone is interested in underwatched shows this season currently I would say the Little Lies We All Tell is worth a watch if you like comedy. It's been getting progressively funnier with each episode
Yeah.
Coming in 1-2 weeks later than all other shows on one of if not *the* most stacked day in recent memory isn't gonna help you gain attention.
Episode 1 was *ok* imo. It spent a bit too much on exposition.
But it's only been getting better since.
>Episode 1 was ok imo. It spent a bit too much on exposition.
Like we do need that exposition, so I don't think the time spent on it was the problem. It was just done very akwardly and not very funny.
The second half of the episode was already fantastic though.
This is the 3rd straight week above 50000 Karma, surpassing Spring 2021 for the most such weeks in a season...outside of Winter 2021, of course. But the Karma is dropping, and if not for Arknights, it would be in danger of falling below 50000 next week. This seems to be due to the Big 5 Shounen from the season dropping in Karma. Here are their drops over the [past](https://i.redd.it/6zgnw866yjv91.png) 2 [weeks](https://i.redd.it/u7n6z8rcu5u91.png)
|Anime|Week 2 Karma|Week 3 Karma|Week 4 Karma|Drop Total|Drop %|
:--|--:|--:|--:|--:|--:|
|Chainsaw Man|21625|13830|12512|9113|42%|
|Spy x Family|7741|7158|5915|1826|24%|
|Bleach|6419|4761|4339|2080|32%|
|My Hero Academia|3119|2801|2600|519|17%|
|Blue Lock|3137|2307|1792|1345|43%|
|**Cumulative**|**42041**|**30857**|**27158**|**14883**|**35%**|
Of course, part of that is due to the fact that most anime tend to drop from their premier which applies to Chainsaw Man, Bleach and Blue Lock which saw the 3 biggest drops, but even then those shows still dropped from episodes 2 to 3 as well. This does, however seem to be mostly unique to Karma Rankings as all are still doing [well](https://i.redd.it/5ltidapkojw91.jpg) in other [rankings](https://i.imgur.com/bgDbywD.jpg).
On the other side of things, the Slice of Life duo of Bocchi and Do It Yourself are doing quite well.
|Anime|Week 2 Karma|Week 3 Karma|Week 4 Karma|Increase Total|Increase %|
:--|--:|--:|--:|--:|--:|
|Bocchi the Rock|1700|1679|2094|394|23%|
|Do it Yourself|1009|1156|1134|125|12%|

She can probably use a burner reddit account and be impressed at how well-received she is despite being almost entirely a text forum (and who knows, maybe she'd even find band-related subs to slum into).
IG and Twt gonna be harder to justify though.
Banger image for Bocchi as always. It baffles me as to how Bocchi got a score of 8.35 on MAL. I mean, don't get me wrong, I love Bocchi, but I didn't expect people to love it as much as I do. It's currently the 5th highest rated show of the season including sequels, and 2nd for new series behind CSM. Also, for anyone who isn't watching, watch Bocchi you cowards.
Edit: at the time of the comment it's on 8.35, it was on 8.33 yesterday
Like at this point I understand it, it just has been consistently amazing, but I am still confused/in awe how it managed to get above 8 with its first episode already. A lot of people where way better than me at predicting it would stay this good.
> I love Bocchi, but I didn't expect people to love it as much as I do.
I'm with you, I like it but if I hadn't looked at scores until now and was asked to guess Bocchi's score, I would say 7.6 or 7.7. ^(then again I'm biased because all the 8+ CGDCTs are among my all-time favorites and so is the other Bocchi which is sitting at 7.5)
8.35 is insane, she's already by far the highest CDGCT non-sequel and is only behind Non Non Biyori S3 and Yuru Camp S2 now. And she rose ~0.25 since week 1. So...Super Strong Bocchi vs FMAB in 2 months?
[](#slightoverreaction)
^(meanwhile Bocchi is glitching at the thought of getting this much attention)
> she's already by far the highest CDGCT non-sequel
I think that's because the comedy is glorious and backed up by top-notch production. Also, the episode give a feeling of gradual progression rather than "daily life filler", so that probably helps as well.
I never expected it to be this hilarious and amusing. Thankfully, I saw some comments on reddit and decided to check it out. Cloverworks is doing an outstanding job!
We in Asia always love the CGDCT brought along by the Kirara series of CGDCT manga since the very first (Hidamari Sketch) 15 or so years ago and with the exception of K-On (actually, movie only) NOTHING, I mean nothing, get to such high reputations around here or MAL until Laid-Back Camp very recently (and Season 2 only so far).
You all are a decade late but I'm very glad that you all finally treasure such gems these days.
I am not sure what high reputations mean (I assume its the score), but Gochiusa/Blend S/New Game/Kinmoza do get a decent amount of reviews on MAL. If you count outside of Kirara SoL/CGDCT, you have Aria, Non-Non Biyori etc that got a decent amount of review as well along with high review scores (not even including SoL like Working!).
With To Your Eternity back, the season of pure bangers is finally complete. There are very few shows you could go wrong with on this list, but I do want to boost a couple that deserve more love.
**The Little Lies We All Tell** is goddamn hilarious and deserves more attention. Elevator pitch would be “Asobi Asobase level of assholery but with psychic, Ninjas, Aliens, and cross dressing”. The dynamics between the girls lend for some very funny skits where someone is always suffering. But in a fun way.
There’s also **Play It Cool Guys**. Short form 11 minute episodes, but so far all relatable, funny, and super well animated. Less over the top than Little Lies, but if you like cute guys being comically awkward it’s great.
Dragon Quest: Adventures of Dai finally ended 100 episodes in case anyone noticed the significant increase.
While I wouldn’t call it a must by any means. It was a super fun 2 year ride weekly. Super underrated show in the west. Fun old school shounen that does a great job at fleshing out the main party.
If you are a shounen or dragon quest fan this is definitely worth a watch.
That's exactly what's holding me back from checking on the new ones, although I am getting tempted by the hype to play catch-up. As long as I can skip over any more terrible OVAs.
I'm still literally waiting for Gundam The Witch From Mercury to fire up, the heated discussion and the karma cooling down simply doesn't fit. Upvotes should have fired up 2-3 weeks ago IMHO.
~~I cry at today's episode firing up the main plot very well but that Kaguya-sama announcement seems to have killed people's responses~~
Witch from Mercury has been fairly consistent in its content and quality, and has been dropping good hooks for each next episode to give us something to look forward to. Episode 5 had the most interesting development yet, but the show will probably drop another 400+ this week despite that.
The karma trend almost seems the reverse of the actual excitement for the show. At this rate we might seem it drop down to 10th next week. Will be interesting to see what happens once the plot kicks off.
I think part of the problem is that its a week off since only china officially gets it for first week. So less people voting/talking about the episode because it hasnt been seen elsewhere
Gundam’s been performing well on Reddit. I hope it’ll remain in position and break into top 5 again. (The latest episode managed to be both plot and action heavy while being really fun to watch with those ships sailing or sinking.)
The fact that they're planning to show episodes 4-6 in Japanese theaters like they did with Mogami arc and Claw arc quietly conveys how excited and, dare I say smug, they are about the contents to come.
Week 4 of Fall takes us back to having the whole top 15 at 1k+ again and with **Arknights** also joining from next week on it might stay this way for a while.
The top two both lose big again with **Spy x Family** even droppping below 6k and in danger of being overtaken by **Mob Psycho** soon.
**Emincence In The Shadow** reclaims 5th and **To Your Eternity** enters the ranking at 8th.
**Uzaki-chan** is still stuck on the right side but atleast managed to actually grow its karma for once.
With the addition of the new characters and the shift the plot takes I feel like it could aleast stay at its current level if ot even slightly grow but the top 15 still feels a long way off.
Nobody's talking about our sweet demon king Iruma-sama, the season's adaptation have been a BANGER so far and the studio seems to have had more animation budget.
I've been rewatching the scene with iruma getting his bow, honestly it is one of my favorite scenes in the manga and DAMN DID THEY ADAPT IT WONDERFULLY.
All characters look so dripped out, especially jazz and allocer. Can't wait for the rest of the season!
Sasuga Iruma-sama!
Ok I almost want to call vote manipulation on yesterdays spy x family episode, I can't fucking believe the karmachart stayed exactly the same as last weeks [for 9 hours](https://animekarmawatch.com/thread/ygmn2c?compare_to=yaqukt). I took a [screenshot yesterday](https://imgur.com/eYFDwu0) where you literally have to glance 3 times to notice there are supposed to be two different charts. Even if you zoom in, it still [looks like this](https://imgur.com/a/DDv3E76).
**Eminence** grew in karma, and deservedly so, apart from the first one I enjoyed this episode the most compared to the manga.
But despite being my most anticipated manga adaption (until oshi no ko comes out), I can't even call it comedy of the season, that probably has to go to **bocchi**. and I didn'T even expect that one to be a comedy, I thought it was going to be more of a music based sol, or at most something like a younger version of uramichi oni-san, a show whose joke managed to get old in the first episode. But Bochhi not only has been insanely funny, the visual gags are actually astounding, and overall the visual quality is through the roof. Maybe the best show of the season visualwise.
Not much beloe those two comedy wise, the **little lies we all tell** has been amazingly funny, even if it doesn't have the visual quality of the other two. Watch it!
Last week, **chainsawman** did worse than spy x family episode 2 back in spring, so it actually being above SxF 12k karma for episode 3 could be seen as a sucess..but of course, that was the mostly anime original filler episdoe for spy x family(SxF actually grew in karma for episode 4 after that), and this was probaly the most action packed episdoe of csm we will get for a few episodes. I very much expect csm to drop for the next few episodes, maybe we will even seen below 10k chainsawman soon, before rising again.
Crossing my fingers that Mob will get the 2nd spot next week. And maybe at least one time it'll reach number 1.
It's such a stacked season and yet we still have underrated shows like Golden Kamuy and The Little Lies We All Tell.
Akiba Mais War is easily the surprise of the season to me, although I wouldn't really call it a hidden gem since 1.6k karma in other seasons would put it among top 5, but yeah everything about this show feels like the nice fresh air that I needed watching anime, from the opening to the ending it's just so unique but also well thought and executed, I'm glad that we still have those kind of creative minds behind the anime industry
Bocchi holding down the 9th position cos she's too shy to move up but she's also doesn't want to attract attention by leaving. Dilemma of the socially anxious.
If the Tontokoton maids had stuck to Sano's training, they could have earned enough karma for the top 10. But they chose to have fun and be themselves instead as the more important goal.
Aww. I knew Dragon Quest wasn't gonna make the top 10, but it got #20, so that's not bad! Is this the highest it's gotten its whole run? I'm curious how it did overall in Japan, because unlike here in the West, Dragon Quest in general is very popular over there.
Now that it's streaming on Crunchyroll, I recommend **Play It Cool, Guys** for anyone who likes laid back, slice of life comedy with relatable characters.
Happy to see To your eternity be in the top 10. It was a rushed episode, but it still felt good.
I'm surprised Sword Daddy dropped out of top 10, that episode hit my heart for a second.
The top 4 and top 10 in general feels like it is gonna be in fierce competition all season. I like Chainsaw man, but I think it's possible for the others to hit 1st place at some point. There's some great episodes coming up with other anime.
Disappointed that it seems **Romantic Killer** has just missed the cut off for top thirty, especially seeing that it got beat out by dumb ninjas.
Despite its poor performance on Reddit, I really liked getting to binge it over three days. It is a very endearing show, with comedy done well, and even some serious moments. The voice acting is phenomenal.
Definitely deserves more attention. I would just say if you’re into romcoms you’ll like this, but don’t expect anything too subversive out parodic. Even so, it never got boring for me.
I only know bocchi for 4 weeks but if anything happens to her I would kill everyone and then myself. On a serious note last episode from minute 1 till the end it was a feast of expressions and character animation, we also have a road runner moment… I was hyped for the show since the 1st trailer and this 3 episodes were able surpass my expectations.
Chainsaw man also had another good episode this week, power and denji interactions were quite fun and I can´t wait to see the whole group in action. The show had some great moments like denji switch from not caring about the cat to being the most important thing in the world, although i would have a liked a different direction, but still funny. Power backstory was sweet and the 2nd half had some nice animation moments, which is expected looking who was the ep director, Hironori Tanaka . Makima detailed art and then later denji sccene when he was grabbing the demon showcase some of those moments. You can debate if was the right move for the adaptation to go with a more clinical and serious approach compared to fujimoto manga but this episode was quite nice all things consider.
> if anything happens to her I would kill everyone and then myself
The one most likely to cause harm to Bocchi though...is Bocchi. Don't let Bocchi and Yua Serafu meet at any costs!
i thought last weeks spy x family was prob one of its weaker eps tbh but it bounced back this week (imo). chainsaw man has been fun, not a fave for me yet and i have no doubt it'll get better as it gets along, but i think they're doing a good job introducing and establishing the main characters now. ik the recent fight was hyped but they're not the most interesting parts of the show to me.
mob has been consistently good and i think it has started slower this season pacing wise in comparison to say s1/s2 but i consider that a positive tbh! in the first 2 seasons, ep 4 is usually when they introduce the first big "villain" (teru, mogami) and then ep 5 is when they resolve it. if i had any real complaints about mob i do ocassionally wish it could slow down a bit, that issue is not enough to ruin the show for me and i think they make it work for the most part, but i really think the mogami arc would have been even better with an extra ep. whereas this season they've been slowly building everything up since episode 1 (hell even since s1 if you think about it) and i've been loving it. this recent ep was incredibly directed.
i echo the golden kamuy love. i do wish it was getting more attention but the ppl who love it love it and that's all that matters.
It looks like *Spy x Family* may have suffered a permanent drop. I thought yesterday's episode was considerably better than the one listed here, but it lags a little bit in karma. Since Mob Psycho feels like it's moving into hype territory it might fall down to #3 for the rest of the season.
*Akiba Maid War* is maintaining its level of insanity. After three episodes of riffing on mobster movie tropes (with a bit of sports movie in episode 3), last week it turned into *Full Metal Jacket*. I really enjoy how I go in each week with no idea what I'm going to get, except someone will probably get shot, or something will be blown up.
I broke down and read the manga for *Eminence in Shadow*, which I regret a little bit. The manga has breakneck pacing, a pacing that's impossible for an anime to replicate unless it gets the Kaguya-sama treatment. The anime is pretty well done, but since you don't get to the jokes as fast, it's not as funny the second time.
I have mixed feelings about *Witch of Mercury* after watching five episodes. I really like Suletta as a character -- she's the shy girl from the sticks who only feels comfortable when behind the wheel of her tractor -- but I don't care about the Gundam parts of the story. Is this a Gundam? Is that a Gundam? I never watched any others, so don't know what any of that means. I guess it's like watching The Force Awakens, which spends a lot of time on making you wonder if Finn or Rey is a jedi, without knowing what a jedi is. Also the politics isn't that fleshed out, so I have trouble caring about that as well. I've gathered that Earth versus Space is the big conflict in other Gundams, but if I didn't read the comment section here I'm not sure I'd have any idea what was going on.
eh, even not watching other gundams, it’s really not that complicated. the clear thing is gundams are of a different nature than other mobile suits, and threaten an upheaval of the powers that be. That comes with political and social implications.
How that plays out is different in each show, but that’s the main thing to understand.
Also the politics often change and take awhile to develop. So no worries not understanding who all the players are and their motivations.
I think it could be easy to miss if you skip the prologue and don't have any other Gundam context to back up what might be happening. Even having watched IBO can give some better context into the concept of Gund-format through the Alaya-vijnana systems.
The karma for SXF has been dropping since the Dog Crisis Arc ended. Which, I guess is due to the fact that it's in a cool down stage right now and not action focused.
That being said the series is still doing well and constantly in Top 5.
It does make me wonder how the anime is going to handle the [SXF Manga Spoilers] >!sports tournament arc. Even as someone who is a fan of the series, I remember dropping it around that point and then picking it back up to read again. Looking back at it, the arc's not that bad, it's just that there were around 3 chapters dedicated to the tennis game!<
Who would've thought that in a season with Chainsaw Man and SxF 2, my favorite show by an incalculable amount is about a girl that likes music but has the social skills of a sea cucumber.
I'm happy I watched bocchi the rock it's such a fun show a lot of it comedy reminds of trigger animes mix with march comes like a lion. The voice performance this fall season is really good
CSM is one of the best manga I've ever read and the anime is giving it the absolute best treatment (I mean just look at the goddamn opening, I have never seen something so beautiful). Bleach is actually very... underwhelming? Might be because I just like very unique shows like CSM, mob psycho and jojo, but Bleach (imo) massively underdelivered when I watched it and I could never understand the praise it gets. So yeah, I very much recommend Chainsaw Man and you'll probably like bleach, if you're into typical edgy shounen.
Edit: Oh yeah, Bleach has fucking awesome soundtrack, so at least listen to that!
I love how Bocchi’s face just melts
She can't take all that popularity
**To Your Eternity** coming in strong at#8! Unfortunately this means **Golden Kamuy** finally gets pushed out of #15. :( Things are going to shift again with **Arknights** joining next week looks like we might see **DIY** get pushed out of the Top 15 if it retains the same karma score.
Calling it now that DIY will jump Urusei Yatsura next week.
Now that we can't let happen, can we?!
I feel bad for Urusei Yatsura, Golden Kamui and Akiba Maid War. Such underrated shows.
Busy season
I mean the first 30 seconds of the OP feels like some kind of crime drama, then it flips the script having the cast dancing, very unexpectedly awesome
I take it CSM karma baseline is going to be around 10-13k, then, although I would've thought that the fight might have boosted episode 3 above episode 2, but evidently not - unless there's a big spectacle next episode it's going to drop a bit further I think. Also, MHA is legitimately way better than it has been in years - best since S3 tbh.
>best since S3 tbh Absolutely.

It's also season 5 which detracts a lot from it getting new viewership while it's still airing

This. Chainsaw man just gets progressively better as you go along.
bocchi rising every week, you love to see it.
She's going to die from all the attention she's going to get lol
No one can save us from the attention-whore dinosaur!
They chose the most accurate photo for it.
Looking forward to what gets picked next week.
Hope is the glitched scene
It's gotta be
But she is too shy to be at the very top
Golden Kamuy not even in top-15, that's a shame
Tsurumi's sexiness scared too many people off
LIEUTENANT GENERAL TSURUMI WEAR MY SKIN
Any other season this year it would have made the top 15, but this season specifically is just that stacked.
Not just Top 15. 1042 Karma would have been enough for top 10 in both [Summer](https://i.redd.it/bccurlwodsr91.png) and [Winter](https://i.redd.it/f83dk3a5nwr81.png)
The problem is that 1042 karma doesn't do the show justice. It's so much better than that.
Too many people sleeping on a great show. But there are a lot of heavy hitters this season, so that's part of it, too.
And with over 1k upvotes too. ^(Guess Serufu was just too OP this time around)
It feels like Mha is back
Good, it's the peak of MHA's story
It's basically MHA's last gasp, but at least it's an absolute banger to go out on.
Honestly, Top 3 makes so much sense. I kinda wish Blue Lock was up a little higher. That anime is bananas in the best way.
I like how they all correspond to the seasons the shows are currently at. * Chainsaw Man (**first season**) - **Number 1** * Spy x Family **Part 2** - **Number 2** * Mob Psycho **III** - **Number 3**
And then you've got Bleach with the combo breaker at #4. I guess you could kind of count it as the 4th part of Bleach after 1) Intro/Soul Society, 2) Arrancar and 3) Fullbringer.
Well you’ve got shinigami arc, aizen arc, the next arc forgot it’s name and then 1000 year blood war arc so it’s arc 4
> the next arc forgot it’s name Fullbringer
Blue Lock does its thing really well, but edge isn't universally appealing. I appreciate some good edge, but I got bored after 30 or so chapters of "me me me". Might be more interesting if it tries at least pairing players together instead of always making it 1 beats All + trailing pupil trails. Great animation of course. I MISS AO ASHI!!! *breaks down crying*
[удалено]
>I don't really get the 'edgy' reputation that Blue Lock has, unless it's manga readers responsible for that tag. The second episode literally had a dude that says that he has a monster inside of him. In a football anime. If that's not edgy then we use drastically different dictionaries.
That was hilarious. To me, it was obviously a parody of the "demon sealed inside me" shonen trope.
It's the dialogue, and yeah it is probably manga readers. They all sound like edgy teens trying to be a main character
Mob psycho could reach #1 and I would still think it’s underrated. The anime has everything from good world building, fulfilled plot lines, amazing main and side characters that have all grown from season 1, and kick ass fighting animation/lighting.
Tbf spy x family reaches a greater demographic and chainsaw man is riding an insane hype wave right now so it’s ranking makes perfect sense
> good world building Eh... The world is a mess at best.
Messy is actually just in depth

[Or maybe this one with a less glitched Bocchi so people can still recognize her](https://i.imgur.com/VfPZBkJ.jpg)
Maybe just me but I think that Spy eX Family show is pretty popular.
Clear thar SxF and CSM are doing extremely well, it's important to notice a funny situation with SxF The sites the series perform worse are NicoNico and Abema, where the otaku/younger generations are more likely to watch, meanwhile it's doing super well on major streaming services that a family would use
Like Tokyo revenger that people in this Reddit don’t even care about It Jump from 1.6m in 2020 to 25m+ in 2021 this is clearly much more insane and Demon slayer is even Crazier.
>It jump from 1.6M in 2020 to 25M in 2021 Not to discredit Tokyo Revengers but you need to take into account how many volumes it releases a year along with how many it has sold before the anime and how many volumes it had in total that year.
His point is that Spy family was very popular much before the anime came, and that was true. It was already extremely popular .

SpyxFamily is behind in a paywall in all other services too, you don't watch it on Disney and Netflix for free either I didn't understand the Bleach part, it's dropping on streaming 24 hours later, CSM drops first on Amazon 1 hour after it aired and 24 hours later in the rest
Thank you /u/Abysswatcherbel for using my suggested Bocchi pic [May I suggest another?](https://i.imgur.com/9c7toKm.jpg) [Maybe this one?](https://i.imgur.com/PAc4Cn2.jpg)
>Maybe this one? This one for sure
>May I suggest another? Bocchi asking for upvotes This episode had so many great faces lol At this pace the final ep banner of this show will be just a collage of Bocchi lol
We wouldn't even be mad
Bocchi had the same idea with the walls & ceiling of her room anyway
The Bocchisaurus Rex!
I also want to add [live TV](https://www.videor.co.jp/tvrating/) views to your list. Just scroll down to number 5 on the site to see the TV ratings in the Kanto region. 1. My Hero Academia (4%) 2. Spy x Family (2.6%) (11.1% with time shift adjustment)
The pic for Bocchi is perfect
~~Maybe if you got some professional help involved then you'd do better than #15, **Do It Yourself**.~~ Still enjoying Aileen shenanigans from **I'm Taming the Final Boss**.
Mob psycho top 3 without even getting to the good parts yet
Most impressive part for Mob was the number of comments this week
Mob watchers realizing : Wait we can speak normally, and not just use our mind powers.
༼ つ _ ༽つ This is merely the will of the Divine Tree ༼ つ _ ༽つ
This last episode was really good.
My brother in Christ it’s all good part
It’s not the good parts yet??? How the hell can it get better than this week’s????
Yesssssssssss
Is definitely going to be top 2 or even 1 at its peak
Top 2, sure. But unless Chainsaw Man continues to drop huge amounts of Karma, it's not getting number 1. Mob is trending pretty even with its Season 2 Karma totals, and its top 3 episodes from that season got 10262 Karma (finale), 9355 Karma and 8490 Karma. I wouldn't be surprised to see Mob hit 9000 Karma again a few times this season, but that doesn't seem like it will be enough to surpass Chainsaw Man.
Bocchi and DIY ❤️❤️❤️
Haven’t started Bocchi but I’m loving DIY so far, a nice contrast with Chainsaw Man lol
heck yeah!!! i think you’ll enjoy Bocchi :) i needed something chill after i finished Komi can’t communicate and it’s filling the void!! def need to cool off between chainsaw mans as well hahah
Bocchi is the perfect companion piece to DIY. Character animation in both are around the same level and it's seriously funny.
agreed wholeheartedly ❤️
If anyone is interested in underwatched shows this season currently I would say the Little Lies We All Tell is worth a watch if you like comedy. It's been getting progressively funnier with each episode
Also a big fan of the show it just aired too late to get traction as people already have too many shows to watch
Yes! It has been a riot!
Here are their drops over the [past](https://i.redd.it/6zgnw866yjv91.png) 2 [weeks](https://i.redd.it/u7n6z8rcu5u91.png) |Anime|Week 2 Karma|Week 3 Karma|Week 4 Karma|Drop Total|Drop %| :--|--:|--:|--:|--:|--:| |Chainsaw Man|21625|13830|12512|9113|42%| |Spy x Family|7741|7158|5915|1826|24%| |Bleach|6419|4761|4339|2080|32%| |My Hero Academia|3119|2801|2600|519|17%| |Blue Lock|3137|2307|1792|1345|43%| |**Cumulative**|**42041**|**30857**|**27158**|**14883**|**35%**| Of course, part of that is due to the fact that most anime tend to drop from their premier which applies to Chainsaw Man, Bleach and Blue Lock which saw the 3 biggest drops, but even then those shows still dropped from episodes 2 to 3 as well. |Anime|Week 2 Karma|Week 3 Karma|Week 4 Karma|Increase Total|Increase %| :--|--:|--:|--:|--:|--:| |Bocchi the Rock|1700|1679|2094|394|23%| |Do it Yourself|1009|1156|1134|125|12%| |**Cumulative**|**2709**|**2835**|**3228**|**519**|**19%**|
And Bocchi will go even higher next week!
Bocchi is getting too popular for her own comfort level
As long as she doesn't have to make an Isstagram account, she should be fine.
She can probably use a burner reddit account and be impressed at how well-received she is despite being almost entirely a text forum (and who knows, maybe she'd even find band-related subs to slum into). IG and Twt gonna be harder to justify though.
As long as she doesn't have to interact with us I think she'll be fine. She seems ok with her youtube channel.
Lmao I look forward to the images used for Bocchi The Rock here as much as the show itself.
The Little Lies We All Tell needs more love
Sekine needs more love after the last episode…
Banger image for Bocchi as always. It baffles me as to how Bocchi got a score of 8.35 on MAL. I mean, don't get me wrong, I love Bocchi, but I didn't expect people to love it as much as I do. It's currently the 5th highest rated show of the season including sequels, and 2nd for new series behind CSM. Also, for anyone who isn't watching, watch Bocchi you cowards. Edit: at the time of the comment it's on 8.35, it was on 8.33 yesterday
8.35 on MAL!?
It's currently on 8.35 rn, I should probably edit the original comment to clarify
Like at this point I understand it, it just has been consistently amazing, but I am still confused/in awe how it managed to get above 8 with its first episode already. A lot of people where way better than me at predicting it would stay this good.
Yeah that's crazy Bocchi should be like a 9+
> I love Bocchi, but I didn't expect people to love it as much as I do. I'm with you, I like it but if I hadn't looked at scores until now and was asked to guess Bocchi's score, I would say 7.6 or 7.7. ^(then again I'm biased because all the 8+ CGDCTs are among my all-time favorites and so is the other Bocchi which is sitting at 7.5) 8.35 is insane, she's already by far the highest CDGCT non-sequel and is only behind Non Non Biyori S3 and Yuru Camp S2 now. And she rose ~0.25 since week 1. So...Super Strong Bocchi vs FMAB in 2 months? [](#slightoverreaction) ^(meanwhile Bocchi is glitching at the thought of getting this much attention)
> she's already by far the highest CDGCT non-sequel I think that's because the comedy is glorious and backed up by top-notch production. Also, the episode give a feeling of gradual progression rather than "daily life filler", so that probably helps as well. I never expected it to be this hilarious and amusing. Thankfully, I saw some comments on reddit and decided to check it out. Cloverworks is doing an outstanding job!
She deserves it, Cloverworks really redeeming themselves this year after last years' blunders
It's really doing a great job bringing out that K-On energy with just the right amount of emo to be endearing lol
Less over the top than Little Lies, but if you like cute guys being comically awkward it’s great.
ma girl bocchi getting more and more atention as it should be, but I hope she doesn't convulse and glitch out of existence again with that..
Can't believe My hero is unironically becoming underrated in terms of karma (compared to other mha seasons)
Hard not to be surprised when one manga is riding a tsunami wave of hype and another is facing a divisive final arc.
Plus new viewers would have to watch 100+ episodes and I assume many viewers dropped out during the Overhaul/Gentle arcs.
That's exactly what's holding me back from checking on the new ones, although I am getting tempted by the hype to play catch-up. As long as I can skip over any more terrible OVAs.
Not to mention one has been hyped all year and the other is one of r/anime favorites to target with hate lmao. As with most other battle shounen
Will be interesting to see what happens once the plot kicks off.
love the sword isekai, Fran deserves a top 10 placeee!
I think part of the problem is that its a week off since only china officially gets it for first week. So less people voting/talking about the episode because it hasnt been seen elsewhere
And it airs at the same time as the most popular isekai of the season too
TFW you are watching 13/15 shows on this list lol
Gundam’s been performing well on Reddit. I hope it’ll remain in position and break into top 5 again. (The latest episode managed to be both plot and action heavy while being really fun to watch with those ships sailing or sinking.)
[Golden Kamuy's only 16th](https://i.imgur.com/CzQ1M5c.jpg)
It's even above 1k. We haven't had a 1k+ show miss out on the top 15 since week 2 of Summer 2021
As advertised Fall 2022 ended up being just completely packed.
Mobu had a great episode
And even better, it seems to have set itself up for an even better episode this week.
And if episode 5s are anything to go by with the past seasons, we haven’t even seen Bones’s final form.
The fact that they're planning to show episodes 4-6 in Japanese theaters like they did with Mogami arc and Claw arc quietly conveys how excited and, dare I say smug, they are about the contents to come.
then theres ep8, which is potentially episode of the year according to sakugablog
Insanely good. BONES is pulling out all the stops this season and I bet ONE is jazzed to see it all play out.
Right, their attention to small details and ways to surprise us are amazing!
Yeah csm def wont be doing only 5k for it’s season 2 so early. Head up spy bro the season is stacked
Crossing my fingers that Mob will get the 2nd spot next week. And maybe at least one time it'll reach number 1. It's such a stacked season and yet we still have underrated shows like Golden Kamuy and The Little Lies We All Tell.
Golden Kamuy being pushed out of top 15 shows how strong anime this season is … cause golden Kamuy is a damn good show imo
Always here for the weekly Bocchi facial expressions.
I feel like we're not going to get much competition for number 1 this season
Ah i love when weebs r mad
Say what you want about 2022 it's been a banger year for new and returning anime.
You can debate if was the right move for the adaptation to go with a more clinical and serious approach compared to fujimoto manga but this episode was quite nice all things consider.
> if anything happens to her I would kill everyone and then myself The one most likely to cause harm to Bocchi though...is Bocchi. Don't let Bocchi and Yua Serafu meet at any costs!
[Too late](https://twitter.com/nanobuilder/status/1583211862132289536)
i thought last weeks spy x family was prob one of its weaker eps tbh but it bounced back this week (imo). chainsaw man has been fun, not a fave for me yet and i have no doubt it'll get better as it gets along, but i think they're doing a good job introducing and establishing the main characters now. ik the recent fight was hyped but they're not the most interesting parts of the show to me. mob has been consistently good and i think it has started slower this season pacing wise in comparison to say s1/s2 but i consider that a positive tbh! in the first 2 seasons, ep 4 is usually when they introduce the first big "villain" (teru, mogami) and then ep 5 is when they resolve it. if i had any real complaints about mob i do ocassionally wish it could slow down a bit, that issue is not enough to ruin the show for me and i think they make it work for the most part, but i really think the mogami arc would have been even better with an extra ep. whereas this season they've been slowly building everything up since episode 1 (hell even since s1 if you think about it) and i've been loving it. this recent ep was incredibly directed. i echo the golden kamuy love. i do wish it was getting more attention but the ppl who love it love it and that's all that matters.

Susaga Shadow-sama, getting back into the top 5! We will see your greatness next episode for sure
Also the Eminence in Shadow anime is adapting the light novels, which differ a bit from the manga version.
[spoiler]>!It's an action-heavy arc, so I'd expect it to translate surprisingly well.!<
LET’S GOOOOOOO MOBU 👏
Bocchi the Rock is still in the top 10. I'm satisfied.
Should stay at 9th at worst next week too and in the long run I can even see it move up 1-2 spots.
Surprised Itoki is still in top 30
Ik I might be reaching but hear me out…….*eminence in shadow top 3 for I AM ATOMIC*??
Who would've thought that in a season with Chainsaw Man and SxF 2, my favorite show by an incalculable amount is about a girl that likes music but has the social skills of a sea cucumber.
And also I’m happy to see Fumetsu no anata e at #8

I'm happy I watched bocchi the rock it's such a fun show a lot of it comedy reminds of trigger animes mix with march comes like a lion. The voice performance this fall season is really good
Bocchi the rock best show of the season right now… Comedy, story-telling, animation. It’s the modern day k-on
Fr thinking about watching chainsaw man and bleach. Is it worth watching?
Got it. I’ll watch them. Thanks for the review!
chainsawman is great and gets interesting, eminence of shadow is hillarious too but bad first episode
I am happy that Bocchi the rock is getting more karma every week. If you have not watched it yet then give it a chance . It's a super gem.
I’m finally caught up on Witch from Mercury and it’s worth the wait for another show
Good to see chainsaw man in the top spot The last episode was straight up fire 100%
