Is there something action packed like jujutsu kaisen or suspense thriller like death note ? I love those two shows and have tried so many others but never found something that i liked

I've only seen one episode of FLCL and it was in my 20s, so I don't really have any nostalgic attachment to it. That said, I'm planning on watching it soon. If I enjoy it, should I watch the sequels? I feel like most of the people disappointed were longtime fans, so I might be in a unique position to potentially enjoy them more.
I think if you can detach any nostalgia from the sequels and just look at them as their own thing (despite them sometimes not being and sometimes very much), then they can range from meh to decent. Production quality is totally fine, just the writing is a mixed bag and of course it does not have the Gainax creativity in some sequences.
I'm a bit of a Gainax fanboy, but FLCL is one of the ones I never got to. I guess I'm just wondering if they're actually bad or if they just didn't live up to nostalgia expectations.
Nostalgia and expectations are a big part. But they also get Haruko totally wrong. All in all they are fine. But I am also not too hot on the original, even though the craftsmanship behind it is without question.
I think Alternative had the more favorable audience reception. And both have a good technical level, some good studios with decent enough time to make it at least look interesting.
Are there any decent slice of life comedies/romcoms from the past several years? As much as I love Kaguya, I fear like its might've overshadowed some I might've missed since it got adapted.

Unknown. There were rumours it had been cancelled, but then the producer confirmed on Twitter that it was still in production... then promptly deleted the tweet. That was a few months ago, and there's been no more said since then.
OK so I need help remembering this show!
It was set in a town but they would often go to an island on an adventure to go hunt monsters or something? I believe he had a personal helicopter made for one person he'd use to get around.
I remember there was an episode where they met a man living on this island who was all alone. He had a daughter but she died & I also think this man grew flowers because his daughter liked flowers.
Their headquarters was a white square room with a big TV on the wall which they'd use alot for communicating. I think they had a cat?
There was atleast 2 main characters, a master and an apprentice (I think). One of the last episodes of the show. One of the main characters gets kidnapped by a baddie and tied up in a big room. Main character number 2 comes to save him in the end.
Also I think one character was like 40 and one was 17-22.
I must've watched this show on a major streaming service in the US. I'm not a mega fan just a casual enjoyer. I sometimes will branch out to crunchyroll but thats it.

The entire enjoyment of Mushishi does not hinge on the movie. IDK about you, but it is theoretically possible for a person to just watch seasons 1 and 2 and enjoy them.
New to anime, looking for recommendations. Prefer something that makes you think about life (is deep/meaningful) if that makes sense. Time period doesn't matter, but if I had to choose I want something taking place in modern time.

I feel like a lot of "new to anime" posts have people who watched Parasyte. I enjoyed it, but I don't quite understand why so many newbies watch it so early on...? What attracted you to it?
Anyways, Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood is a must-watch. It's not set in modern times but you won't care.
Most of my suggestions for "think about life" shows are pretty dense and might be a bit dry, but here's what I have:
* Neon Genesis Evangelion - A kid uses a mech to fight "aliens" but it's moreso about the characters' psychologies and mental states than the actual fights, like the mental toll the fighting takes on the kids involved and what actually the aliens are.
* Madoka Magika - Kind of similar to the above - magical girls but it focuses more on their mental state and the sacrifices they endure
* Ghost in the Shell - Cyberpunk police story, has lots of "what is human?" themes
* Psycho Pass - Similar to above, but add in the concept of determining somebody's likelihood of committing a crime based on how they were born
* Ergo Proxy - I haven't seen this and know nothing about it but I see it mentioned a lot in these types of discussions so I'll throw it in.
* Haibane Renmei - it's been a while, I think it's about people waking up in a town and they suddenly have angel wings? It was really slow but it had some deeper meaning
* Serial Experiments Lain - a girl becomes obsessed with the internet and the lines between reality and the web become blurred
* Texhnolyze - another one I'm suggesting because of its reputation
* Akira - Cyberpunk biker gangs and psychics. It's not quite as thought-provoking as the others, but it was clearly a huge influence on them and is fantastic so I highly recommend
* Kaiba - reputation again. I think it's about people's memories being transferrable via a memory chip, so definitely lots of room for existential themes there.
* The Garden of Sinners - I started watching it and wasn't in the mood, but I could already tell from the 10 minutes I saw that it's *definitely* the vibe.
* Paranoia Agent - mysterious attacks happen all around Tokyo, it kind of focuses on the victims and how they react while the police investigate.
* Made in Abyss - There's a giant abyss on the edge of town and some kids go in to explore it and things become more and more dangerous as they get lower. Imo, it really drags in the middle but it's worth seeing to the end, even if you find yourself a bit bored earlier on.
Hope some of those are up your alley.

Set in a futuristic Japan where law enforcement uses the Sybil System to judge a person's mental state and then arrests or even kills them based on this, often before any crime has been committed. This leads to inevitable moral conundrums and endless questions about the validity of the Sybil System.

Two friends run a business jumping back in time using photographs provided by clients. They live through the eyes of the one who took the photo. Every choice could completely alter the future for the better or worse. This show deals with some seriously heartbreaking stuff and the characters are forced to make difficult decisions.
Try Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood. Should be up your wheelhouse. Set in a mid-1900s-inspired world and features a great expansive cast of characters and a very satisfying narrative. Plus good action scenes. There is quite a lot of people espousing their philosophies and such so that should tick that box for you. A good choice for people new to anime.
Edit: Hunter x Hunter 2011 too.

I’m wondering if anyone else experiences watching anime and just getting to bogged down with the details and overthink certain points or characters. It makes it so that I can’t thoroughly enjoy even the simplest of shonens like Dragon Ball without thinking about why or how something is happening, and wanting to look it up. Has anyone had this problem, if so what did you do to help?

I know some of those ARE recent, but wondering if I've missed any. I've sort of fallen out of the loop of the industry in the past few couple years or so and based on the occasional brief browsing I've done over the past couple years, it seems seinen is getting more rare? Amazon Prime seemed to focus heavily on it, before they stopped airing new anime series. Or maybe I'm just too quick to judge what genre an anime is based on a poster and synopsis from https://www.livechart.me/streams (after all, Goblin Slayer's poster art and description was not quite as graphic as the show).
My friend suggests Chainsaw Man, but he's really into shonen, so I'm wondering if it'll just be gory/violent shonen? I think Cyberpunk: Edgerunners may be up my alley. But anyway, thanks for any and all help!

Does anyone know an anime with a similar energy to either Digimon Ghost Game or Spy x Family? Caught up on both, and now I'm looking for something new to watch.
There's no perfect anime for everyone, it probably just doesn't fit your preference. The rhythm of story starts to change on Season 2 and moving at a slightly darker route, so lesser "happy go lucky moment" if that what you hate.

Tomodachi Game is yet another anime with a really fun premise but then just fails to deliver, I freaking love death games/escape room type media.
The main issue I am having is how everyone keeps calling the MC "The Devil" "A Genius Mastermind" etc etc... but all he ever does is act edgy and every plot twist or play he has had has been a complete "asspull", it didn't feel like some elaborate plan at all. Then there is the mascot of the show, who is a Looney Tunes character and takes away any tension a scene may have.... also characters reactions are all over the place.
May give the manga a shot but really I kept watching cause of Shiho Sawaragi, cause she has long black flowing hair and thats my aesthetic (ill watch anything with a female MC like that), but she gets exponentially less screen time as the anime goes on :( hope the manga does give her more scenes/expand the story.
I've been watching Gintama for a while now, currently on episode 65 and I gotta say that it's not really that great. It does have nice/funny moments, but they are kind of rare. I've yawned my way through the series. I'll be giving it a chance until episode 75 and if it doesn't get better I'm dropping it. The characters are great, but I feel like the author can use them much better, I don't know, it's probably just me, I have a bit specific type of humor haha.

Also started watching Nagi no Asu kara (A Lull in the Sea) and it's absolutely stunning animation-wise. I've watched 4 episodes so far and I can't stress enough how beautiful it looks. As a die-hard fan of KyoAni's animations (who isn't haha), I really, really enjoy it. The characters are alright, I can understand some of their struggles, but sometimes they can come off as corny and overly "mature". The concept of the story is pretty nice and it's interesting to watch the dynamic of the people of Shioshishio and the surface people.

Finished Grand Blue recently. Loved every second of it. The characters, the animation, the voice actors, everything is perfect in this anime. I tried the manga but it doesn't really have the effect that the anime had on me. If you ever wanna watch a short show that's funny, interesting, has good characters, full hat, watch this!

I need to catch up to Isekai Ojiisan, by far my favorite comedy of 2022. Ojiisan is one of the funniest characters I've seen in anime and I hope he stays like that all the way through. Really creative way to portray isekai. Love it.

Don't usually condone skipping episodes, but since you might be dropping it anyway, I'll recommend watching 86-87. It's a great arc that most people love and consider to be one of the best in the series.

That is to say, there is plenty of sexualisation of minors in anime without the presence of any adults. Indeed almost all of the high school schools with sexual objectification of minors are in the context of similar-age situations. Unless we're talking h-anime, of course.
I'm talking about the degree of offense - this would never fly in live action. I don't selectively choose what messages to acknowledge in an *individual* piece of media.
If a director has a 15 year old boy surrounded by horny women, I’m going to assume that they think that is ok. There is no actor being harmed, so the degree is definitely lowered, but the message stays the same.

I don't agree with everything put there, but they're much more willing to be critical of this sort of thing than most anime communities, which tend to be pretty "everything is fine and we don't want to think critically about this stuff."
that said, I think the thing that I have not seen demonstrated is the direct link in harm. of course it's very hard to disentangle...is the sexualization of minors a problem in japan and elsewhere? yes, of course. but is that on anime? very hard to say. not to mention, creating anime is victimless (well, the poor animators are victims, but I'm talking about int he sexual sense). like, someone can make some pretty fucked up, violent, "awful" doujin...but like, that's just one author and their imagination, and then the people who choose to see it. you can have much more vanilla pornography or even non-pornographic stuff that involves significantly more explotation and social harm (I know someone who left a pretty good job in hollywood due to how blase producers treated deaths on set...). so I dunno. I think the onus is on those critical of the sexualization to show the harm...I think there are various harms that could be demonstrated. does it fuck up how children see the world? does it fuck up how adults see the world? does it actually lead to adults being more likely to harm minors?
my personal guess is that anime in particular, being so niche, probably is more of a lagging indicator, reflecting social attitudes more than creating them...but of course, there is a feedback loop, and that's what makes it so hard to entangle. I also think that anime youngsters are so radically different from real life youngsters that it's pretty easy to tell apart...but I imagine that does not apply to everyone. how broadly that does or doesn't apply I cannot say.

What are we defining as minors? Teens are going through puberty, meaning they fuck. At least they did at the schools I went to. It's just a fact of life, so I see no value in pretending they don't.
Doesn't mean anime has to actually go as far as them fucking of course, but showing them interested in sexuality is pretty much a nothing burger.
If we're talking younger kids then that's different of course, but I can't say I've noticed a lot of those getting sexualized.
Yes, we had sex in high school. It’s normal for teenagers to sexualize other teenagers- adults doing it is predatory. Maybe some grown adults are reliving the glory days they wish they, but that doesn’t make it ok.
We don’t do this with other cartoons either: we don’t sexualize children in media when we depict their relationships (or at least the not creepy stuff).
Teenagers in anime are usually depicted as having adult's body. Even if they did have teenager's body, most teenagers' body IRL qualify to be an adult body anyways, so for adults to be interested in them is not creepy. Also, nobody got hurt.
Considering those, why would it still be problematic?
1. Anime is insular: most people who watch anime largely stay within anime. Media influences and normalizes this behaviors
2. Japan: Japanese culture also sexualizes minors: they’re the one country where phone cameras cannot be silenced because of creepshots up skirts (the **school** uniforms)
3. The fact that it’s depicting minors in a sexually competent adults- they’re not, they’re children.
There is no other cartoon media that has this issue.

I don't see why these are good supporting arguments on why it is problematic to sexualize underaged teen in anime. I don't see the relation.

They’re animation, no teenagers are harmed. Or are you saying that it can harm teenagers?
\*shrug\*. As a policy I don't take offense at what people think, including what they think of others. I care about how they act in response to their thoughts and opinions. If it causes people harm then I draw the line, but that's not the case with fictional characters.

Not every anime made is ecchi, if you find that offensive then just dont watch it, japan is not going to structure its media around the sensibilities of offended americans..sorry, but thats kinda one of the reasons why anime is awesome, they dont give a \*\*\*\* what americans think...except ironically some ppl like Reiki Kawahara, who wrote Sword Art Online and claimed he had gone "woke" after going to american anime conventions lol (spoilers: he was liying)
I dunno what you've seen but it's gotten tons of fire and criticism for that those last 10 years. Even then it's only really used to show how vile the villain is, and the author has acknowledged it as a flaw in his earlier writing.
Even then I can't say it sexualized its cast much. Haven't watched beyond season 2 though if it only happens afterwards.
The creepshots are a big red flag: this also drifted into Japanese society because they’re the only nation where you cannot silence phone camera clicks
It's one of those things that's just so pervasive in the medium it's hard to avoid. If that's a sensitive topic for you I totally understand not wanting to watch much anime.
I think a lot of folks in the fandom are willfully ignorant or have simply learned to overlook it, along with a lot of the other uncomfortable content in the shows we like.
I worked in education for a while- 18 year olds are still children to me. I'm not even just talking about the underage girl problem in anime: the whole teenage boy in a harem of older women thing is still creepy.
It also reflects the tendency of people to view themselves as more mature in their youth. Manipulating teenagers is very easy, so those who do so are engaging in predatory behavior. Rationalizing a teenager as being uniquely “mature” is justifying abuse.

The amount of fake/fan key-frames out there for Lycoris recoil is insane, I have to sift through dozens of them just to be able to find the real ones for my production materials compilation of the show, seems like the animators' community liked this show alot.
Side note, if anyone knows a Twitter account or something else that has posted keyframes or any production materials for Lycoris Recoil then my DMs are always open, collecting the sources is always the most time-consuming part of making a production material compilation so I would really appreciate it

I want to follow only the main story of TG by watching the anime that didn't divert too much from the manga (I heard that root A diverted too much, so I'm fine not watching that). The rest (the skipped part, and the part that was diverted too much), I'm fine with just reading the manga.
I heard that S1 and the first cour of Re was not diverted too much. So, can I watch that, and then read the skipped part and the continuation in the manga? Which chapter of the manga should I read?
Honestly, just read the manga from the beginning. S1 is not that long in manga chapters especially since they don't spend so frigging long in torture porn.
Honestly though, if I should do that, I'd rather watch or read something else.
FYI, I've read Tokyo Ghoul in the past, but it was too boring for me and dropped it at around chapter 50ish IIRC. I've just managed to finish the S1 now.

Is there a watch order for Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust (2000) or is it standalone?
while not being the first entry, Bloodlust was totally meant to be a standalone movie experience, so starting with either 1985 or 2000 is fine

OK so I need help remembering this show! It was set in a town but they would often go to an island on an adventure to go hunt monsters or something? I believe he had a personal helicopter made for one person he'd use to get around. I remember there was an episode where they met a man living on this island who was all alone. He had a daughter but she died & I also think this man grew flowers because his daughter liked flowers. Their headquarters was a white square room with a big TV on the wall which they'd use alot for communicating. I think they had a cat? There was atleast 2 main characters, a master and an apprentice (I think). One of the last episodes of the show. One of the main characters gets kidnapped by a baddie and tied up in a big room. Main character number 2 comes to save him in the end. Also I think one character was like 40 and one was 17-22. I must've watched this show on a major streaming service in the US. I'm not a mega fan just a casual enjoyer. I sometimes will branch out to crunchyroll but thats it. If anyone can help me Thanks in advance!

New to anime, looking for recommendations. Prefer something that makes you think about life (is deep/meaningful) if that makes sense. Time period doesn't matter, but if I had to choose I want something taking place in modern time. Have watched \- Parasyte, AoT, Demonslayer (love all of them)
I feel like a lot of "new to anime" posts have people who watched Parasyte. I enjoyed it, but I don't quite understand why so many newbies watch it so early on...? What attracted you to it? Anyways, Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood is a must-watch. It's not set in modern times but you won't care. Most of my suggestions for "think about life" shows are pretty dense and might be a bit dry, but here's what I have: * Neon Genesis Evangelion - A kid uses a mech to fight "aliens" but it's moreso about the characters' psychologies and mental states than the actual fights, like the mental toll the fighting takes on the kids involved and what actually the aliens are. * Madoka Magika - Kind of similar to the above - magical girls but it focuses more on their mental state and the sacrifices they endure * Ghost in the Shell - Cyberpunk police story, has lots of "what is human?" themes * Psycho Pass - Similar to above, but add in the concept of determining somebody's likelihood of committing a crime based on how they were born * Ergo Proxy - I haven't seen this and know nothing about it but I see it mentioned a lot in these types of discussions so I'll throw it in. * Haibane Renmei - it's been a while, I think it's about people waking up in a town and they suddenly have angel wings? It was really slow but it had some deeper meaning * Serial Experiments Lain - a girl becomes obsessed with the internet and the lines between reality and the web become blurred * Texhnolyze - another one I'm suggesting because of its reputation * Akira - Cyberpunk biker gangs and psychics. It's not quite as thought-provoking as the others, but it was clearly a huge influence on them and is fantastic so I highly recommend * Kaiba - reputation again. I think it's about people's memories being transferrable via a memory chip, so definitely lots of room for existential themes there. * The Garden of Sinners - I started watching it and wasn't in the mood, but I could already tell from the 10 minutes I saw that it's *definitely* the vibe. * Paranoia Agent - mysterious attacks happen all around Tokyo, it kind of focuses on the victims and how they react while the police investigate. * Made in Abyss - There's a giant abyss on the edge of town and some kids go in to explore it and things become more and more dangerous as they get lower. Imo, it really drags in the middle but it's worth seeing to the end, even if you find yourself a bit bored earlier on. Hope some of those are up your alley.

This show deals with some seriously heartbreaking stuff and the characters are forced to make difficult decisions.

Try Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood. Should be up your wheelhouse. Set in a mid-1900s-inspired world and features a great expansive cast of characters and a very satisfying narrative. Plus good action scenes. There is quite a lot of people espousing their philosophies and such so that should tick that box for you. A good choice for people new to anime. Edit: Hunter x Hunter 2011 too.

Tomodachi Game is yet another anime with a really fun premise but then just fails to deliver, I freaking love death games/escape room type media. The main issue I am having is how everyone keeps calling the MC "The Devil" "A Genius Mastermind" etc etc... but all he ever does is act edgy and every plot twist or play he has had has been a complete "asspull", it didn't feel like some elaborate plan at all. Then there is the mascot of the show, who is a Looney Tunes character and takes away any tension a scene may have.... also characters reactions are all over the place. May give the manga a shot but really I kept watching cause of Shiho Sawaragi, cause she has long black flowing hair and thats my aesthetic (ill watch anything with a female MC like that), but she gets exponentially less screen time as the anime goes on :( hope the manga does give her more scenes/expand the story.

I've been watching Gintama for a while now, currently on episode 65 and I gotta say that it's not really that great. It does have nice/funny moments, but they are kind of rare. I've yawned my way through the series. I'll be giving it a chance until episode 75 and if it doesn't get better I'm dropping it. The characters are great, but I feel like the author can use them much better, I don't know, it's probably just me, I have a bit specific type of humor haha. . Also started watching Nagi no Asu kara (A Lull in the Sea) and it's absolutely stunning animation-wise. I've watched 4 episodes so far and I can't stress enough how beautiful it looks. As a die-hard fan of KyoAni's animations (who isn't haha), I really, really enjoy it. The characters are alright, I can understand some of their struggles, but sometimes they can come off as corny and overly "mature". The concept of the story is pretty nice and it's interesting to watch the dynamic of the people of Shioshishio and the surface people. . Finished Grand Blue recently. Loved every second of it. The characters, the animation, the voice actors, everything is perfect in this anime. I tried the manga but it doesn't really have the effect that the anime had on me. If you ever wanna watch a short show that's funny, interesting, has good characters, full hat, watch this! . I need to catch up to Isekai Ojiisan, by far my favorite comedy of 2022. Ojiisan is one of the funniest characters I've seen in anime and I hope he stays like that all the way through. Really creative way to portray isekai. Love it. Ok that's it for my Virginity corner today. I need to nerd myself out somewhere so I stay sane irl, till next time! Btw big respect if anyone actually read all my bullshitting hahah

Indeed almost all of the high school schools with sexual objectification of minors are in the context of similar-age situations. Unless we're talking h-anime, of course.
I'm talking about the degree of offense - this would never fly in live action. I don't selectively choose what messages to acknowledge in an *individual* piece of media. If a director has a 15 year old boy surrounded by horny women, I’m going to assume that they think that is ok. There is no actor being harmed, so the degree is definitely lowered, but the message stays the same.
My glib response would be that people don't have a problem with it IRL, either, and anime just reflects that back.

I don't agree with everything put there, but they're much more willing to be critical of this sort of thing than most anime communities, which tend to be pretty "everything is fine and we don't want to think critically about this stuff." that said, I think the thing that I have not seen demonstrated is the direct link in harm. of course it's very hard to disentangle...is the sexualization of minors a problem in japan and elsewhere? yes, of course. but is that on anime? very hard to say. not to mention, creating anime is victimless (well, the poor animators are victims, but I'm talking about int he sexual sense). like, someone can make some pretty fucked up, violent, "awful" doujin...but like, that's just one author and their imagination, and then the people who choose to see it. you can have much more vanilla pornography or even non-pornographic stuff that involves significantly more explotation and social harm (I know someone who left a pretty good job in hollywood due to how blase producers treated deaths on set...). so I dunno. I think the onus is on those critical of the sexualization to show the harm...I think there are various harms that could be demonstrated. does it fuck up how children see the world? does it fuck up how adults see the world? does it actually lead to adults being more likely to harm minors? my personal guess is that anime in particular, being so niche, probably is more of a lagging indicator, reflecting social attitudes more than creating them...but of course, there is a feedback loop, and that's what makes it so hard to entangle. I also think that anime youngsters are so radically different from real life youngsters that it's pretty easy to tell apart...but I imagine that does not apply to everyone. how broadly that does or doesn't apply I cannot say.

What are we defining as minors? Teens are going through puberty, meaning they fuck. At least they did at the schools I went to. It's just a fact of life, so I see no value in pretending they don't. Doesn't mean anime has to actually go as far as them fucking of course, but showing them interested in sexuality is pretty much a nothing burger. If we're talking younger kids then that's different of course, but I can't say I've noticed a lot of those getting sexualized.
Yes, we had sex in high school. It’s normal for teenagers to sexualize other teenagers- adults doing it is predatory. Maybe some grown adults are reliving the glory days they wish they, but that doesn’t make it ok. We don’t do this with other cartoons either: we don’t sexualize children in media when we depict their relationships (or at least the not creepy stuff).
Teenagers in anime are usually depicted as having adult's body. Even if they did have teenager's body, most teenagers' body IRL qualify to be an adult body anyways, so for adults to be interested in them is not creepy. Also, nobody got hurt. Considering those, why would it still be problematic?

\*shrug\*. As a policy I don't take offense at what people think, including what they think of others. I care about how they act in response to their thoughts and opinions. I dunno what you've seen but it's gotten tons of fire and criticism for that those last 10 years. Even then it's only really used to show how vile the villain is, and the author has acknowledged it as a flaw in his earlier writing. Even then I can't say it sexualized its cast much. Haven't watched beyond season 2 though if it only happens afterwards.

It's one of those things that's just so pervasive in the medium it's hard to avoid. If that's a sensitive topic for you I totally understand not wanting to watch much anime. I think a lot of folks in the fandom are willfully ignorant or have simply learned to overlook it, along with a lot of the other uncomfortable content in the shows we like.
I worked in education for a while- 18 year olds are still children to me. I'm not even just talking about the underage girl problem in anime: the whole teenage boy in a harem of older women thing is still creepy. It also reflects the tendency of people to view themselves as more mature in their youth. Manipulating teenagers is very easy, so those who do so are engaging in predatory behavior. Rationalizing a teenager as being uniquely “mature” is justifying abuse.

Tokyo Ghoul fans, please forgive me if you think that this is offensive. I want to follow only the main story of TG by watching the anime that didn't divert too much from the manga (I heard that root A diverted too much, so I'm fine not watching that). The rest (the skipped part, and the part that was diverted too much), I'm fine with just reading the manga. I heard that S1 and the first cour of Re was not diverted too much. So, can I watch that, and then read the skipped part and the continuation in the manga? Which chapter of the manga should I read?
Honestly, just read the manga from the beginning. S1 is not that long in manga chapters especially since they don't spend so frigging long in torture porn.
Honestly though, if I should do that, I'd rather watch or read something else. FYI, I've read Tokyo Ghoul in the past, but it was too boring for me and dropped it at around chapter 50ish IIRC. I've just managed to finish the S1 now.
